They are offering what seem to be the 2 most controversial vaccines Astrazeneca and Sinovac.
Good luck to those expats in Phuket.
Will it be free to ex-pats?

Has anyone ever seen a speeding vehicle under pursuit by a police vehicle? Does a speed limit actually make any difference in any practical way?
Has anyone ever seen a police car other than the brown highway patrol cars who do nothing other than escort high so people, I was forced off the road by one of these patrol cars, he actually swerved towards me in his effort to get me off the road, a hole!!

Lived in my house for many years, recently Thais have made a business in the house right behind us, music, machinery, constantly slamming doors, shouting etc I'm learning to live with it, cannot get into dispute with them as I'm sure it would turn ugly quickly!

why should anyone who wished to drive, not have their medical condition checked? Makes me wonder how many people on here are hiding conditions that would disqualify them from driving anywhere but in Thailand. Concerning I would say.
What's concerning mate is that the medical certificate is a joke, 5 yrs ago I got a certificate the test was, " you feel okay" checked my BP and certificate was given, now that's concerning!!

people would love detailed infoAny driving school shop can do the paperwork for you, obviously you need cor if not have work permit, my Thai gf did the talking, I went for a Coffee and came back when she called me, it was all sorted, had to go back a few days later to get the paperwork in order to get new licences, if you go to the University to watch the Video its 200bht per licence as stated by transport office.

It might be because DLT stopped doing testing this month because of Covid-19.
Yes you have to do training elsewhere then return to TO too get appointment in order to renew licence.

I tried in Phuket to renew 5 year licence.
I was told to check back in April. Covid restrictions. Police are ok with expired licences as far as I can see but when checking in for a domestic flight they raised the issue. I had my passport as back up.
If you are getting your 1st ever licence you are told "come back in April" if renewing you can but must watch video etc somewhere other than transport office as training office etc is closed, once watched you can return to transport with paperwork to get appointment to get new licence.

Perhaps you were too early if your licence had not actually expired yet, best to wait until it expires (you then have one year to renew it) so you can get close to 6 years as it runs to your next birthday. Maybe they were just guiding you in that direction.
Yes that makes sense, I'll go in Feb on the appointment given. Thanks

My gf(Thai) and I both did the training then went to transport office to get new licences, she got hers within 15 mins but I was given an appointment to come back in a months time, office was fairly busy but not busy enough to warrant coming back in 1 month, it's not a problem as my licences run out in March, wondering if anyone else has had the same experience?

That appears to be a special tourist visa (STV) that can allow a total stay of 9 months. If you have one of those you would not be able to a apply for a 90 day non-o visa base upon qualifying for a extension of stay based upon retirement.
If on a single entry tourist visa or a 45 day visa exempt entry it would be possible.
It could also be done with a multiple entry tourist visa but those are not being issued at this time.
So what would he apply for in the UK to make it possible for him to convert to retirement once in Thailand?
He would need 800k in the bank for 2 months before applying or can he apply for retirement in the UK?

If someone comes to Thailand now on the 9 month TV would he/she be able to convert it to the retirement extension if he/she decides they want to live here?
Arrival card
in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits

I have had a new passport within the last 12 months but my arrival card has my old passport number on it, I have done a few 90 day reports since(in person) no problems, if they checked the arrival card and noticed it showes my old passport number would there be a problem? I have not left the country since my entry in Nov 2018. I am on a Retirement extension since 2009.
Hope I have explained so it is understandable.
