1 million USD is more than adequate for Thailand. Even 200k US would suffice.
I think Op's concern re the 1.2 million baht is that he has already racked up a lot this year (reducing amount still available) for all the tests done (they have already doen pretty well every posisble test) and was worrying that this might be something that would require expensive surgery etc. However this does not seem to be the case, given that all test results were negative, and he likely just has a muscle strain.
Thanks, pain is almost gone just a small ache from time to time, reference insurance if I should suffer anything serious I will be going to Mission Hospital, I've only had one biggish claim at the Private Hospital which was for TIA Stroke, that was 4 yrs ago, never had a problem since, oh and the visit for the pain which was OPD.

Medical records are needed only if under 60. Over 60 your age alone is enough.
For those under 60 needing to qualify on basis of chronic disease you would need medical record showing you have one of the criteria diseases. No need for all medical records, just one stating diagnosis is enough. Usually easiest to just get a vaccine at a hospital where your condition is already on file.
Thanks Sheryl, I had a TIA Stroke 4 yrs ago, I've got the hospital record so just need to get a Medical Certificate, maybe I didn't need to mention it but It wouldn't feel right too me not to mention it.
Got the Pfizer Jabs already booked.

That is (coming from the main building keeping that on your left) the building a bit further down the road, past the motorbike parking.
Thanks for that.

Free depends on your age... if under 60 you're likely as you say get the Sino/AZ mix
I hung-out for the AZ double shot in my province, over 60
Otherwise it's see what hospital as what you want and pay for it.
I've just booked the Pfizer jabs, feel happier with that rather than a mix.

I think the only pertinent records would be ones that issued a Medical Certificate for one of the “underlying conditions”.
Yes I have sorted it now, been to the Hospital to get the record of the TIA Stroke I had about 2.5yrs ago.

Can someone tell me where Laung-Por-Champ building is, is it at the main Hospital or a separate building close by. Thanks.

How do I find out if I do need medical cert and records to receive the Pfizer jabs, I'm 65 and in Phuket, it clearly says they are needed.
Vaccination Registration for Foreign residents aged 60 years old and above
Or Foreign residents aged over 18 who have had at least one of these 8 underlying medical conditions (Medical certificate and medical record REQUIRED!!)

That has to be a post-existing condition surely?
According to Phuket win it is, impossible to lie about your age.

I think that is only if you have pre-existing conditions which then need to be proven.
If I were you, say nowt. Or say you have high BP diagnosed by your local doctor/clinic = no records.
⁸there is a list of conditions one of them being over 60, think I'll give it a miss and wait for AZ(both Jabs)

In my case I have been to four or five different private hospitals within the last 8 years. I would imagine that each one only has records pertaining to the particular reason/ailment I went to them for.
I have also been to the local University Hospital in the last year, who knows what they have.........well only the stuff I have told them.
I've used 3 hospitals does that mean I have to get records from all 3?

This was fake news. I was at Phuket Merlin Hotel 10 mins ago and there are no walk-in vaccinations. Now I'm at Or Bor Tor and they have idea what I am talking about. There is no Thai version of this news article online anywhere to be found.
Getting pretty tired of chasing down a vaccination now....You can get Vaccinated this Friday via Phuket Win but its Sinovac and AZ.
-
I'm booked to receive the Sinovac then AZ but I'm not keen on the mix, would it be better to wait for both AZ, Pfizer is now available but you need Medical Certificate and your Medical records, is it simple to get your records from a Private Hospital and would it be free!

You describe having pain but not what type of pain as in aching pain or sharp pain or spasmodic pain.
Have had for some time chronic but recently acute for what duration?. Also relieved when lying down.
Have had scans and probably blood test? which would have checked liver function essentials.
Also hint at ongoing other health issues. Have you any recall of a slip or a fall that impacted on your ribs or back? Does moderate pain relief or anti inflammatory meds have much effect?
Aching pain, I've always been fit but recently had a bad accident broken right leg, had aching pain long before accident, I'm sure it is muscle related as chatting about it has helped alot, now it's just very slight, still there but it's bearable.

I'm sure it is muscle related as it has subsided quite alot, as long as I know its not life threatening I'm sure I can cope.
I know if I have a serious problem it could be the end, I'm not wealthy just have enough to live on and support my gf and step daughter, I have medical insurance 1.2 million and accident insurance 250k that's all I can afford, yep life is difficult but have to accept it.

Had a bout of E. coli recently. The pain wasn't too bad, but there was never any relief, it just never let up and it wore me down over a few weeks.
I can certainly sympathize with what you are going through.
Hope you get it sorted!
I'm coping, money is the problem as with most I guess, I know at some point a situation is coming and I am fuffed, just live day to day!
-
Im close to 66 the problems have been constant since turning 65, I'm not keen on older age!
-
Thankyou all, chatting about it has made it more bearable, thanks so much!

Try a PPI.....omeprazole, 40mg to begin with. Take one in the morning with plenty of water, half an hour before you eat anything.....might alleviate the pain. If it does it could indicate an ulcer.
I've been on them for over 14 years.
Is that for Acid Reflux?
Root Canal

Could someone in the know hopefully give me an Idea on the cost of Root Canal on an upper back tooth, it's only painful to touch at the moment, Dentist says "22,000bht maybe more" to take tooth out 800 to 1500bht.
If taking the Tooth out is cheap which removes the tooth and root why is root canal so expensive when it does the same thing? maybe I just don't understand.
