Lots of forum members have posted their observations on may other threads about how drivers where will overtake into oncoming traffic and expect the other vehicle to get out of their way - especially on up-country and hilly roads. Given the location of the damage (front left side)... I can only assume that the one of the cars was on the wrong side.. perhaps over taking and then swerved further to the right to avoid the oncoming car... ... such frequent devastation caused by reckless driving here.

It doesn't take any prowess whatsoever to identify that your post was either a complete fabrication, or you have somehow upset this driver through other means and significantly enough for him to think about it and they return. Perhaps you were drunk enough to tell him you were leaving a 1 star review etc and thats why he became angry with you.

If such events repeatedly happen to you, when such experiences are completely alien to everyone else... ... then perhaps you should be looking inwards !!... as ultimately many of the situations you find yourself in seem only to happen to you... Or course... As posters have already pointed out - its impossible that this driver knew you left the negative review. So... You have either completely misunderstood the situation and the driver was angry at you for some other reason you are oblivious to... Or, as others have suggested, this as another Thai Bashing fabrication.

This highlights a daft attitude... ... Learn to live with it ... if you don't like it go back to where you came from ... Stop trying to change Thailand ... don't bring your western expectations here etc.... etc... Thats always been a weird one for me... I've had a TrueMoney Wallet account and never encountered an issue and don't know why. I don't have Line Rabbit Pay thingy and can't get it (though I'd never use it anyway) - but years ago, when I tried it blocked me (no non-Thai's). The idiosyncrasies and 'steps' involved with these some of these 'accounts' are a complete enigma. The same can be said of actual banking. - With SCB - I could not get the NDID (face ID) system approved as I am not Thai - so if I wanted to transfer over 50,000 baht in any one transaction I had to sign a waver absolving SCB of any responsibility should there be a fraudulent transaction on my account. - With Bangkok Bank - I set up the NDID system easily and can transfer more than 50,000 baht with ease using the NDID system. I'm completely unsure why one Bank wont allow this, and another will.

I find it quite amusing they way they follow you around... ... I'll be looking at TV's... 2 or 3 will be following you, ready to help if you need it... The one of them will build up the courage and state "TV !!!".... Of course, they are just trying their hardest.... and sometimes they can be quite helpful if we give them a chance. In places like HomePro instead of walking around from isle to isle looking for what I want, I just ask someone and save time getting taken straight to the right area.... And... regarding language barrier... I often won't know the Thai word for something I looking for... such as tile grouting or silicon sealant etc... But the staff aren't stupid - show them a photo of what we want !!... Help them help us, thats all they are trying to do.

Optimising the flow of existing Traffic is of course going to offer results improving congestion. As would 'shifting' the culture so that people don't enter a blocked box junction when the light is yellow - there is no concept of the greater good - Bangkok traffic really is 'dog eat dog'... But, the underlying issue is simply the pure volume of traffic on the roads. More and more Condo's, more and more shopping malls - more and more area's of huge population density and so many people getting to and from these area's in cars. The Mayor of Bogata; Gustavo Petro, is famed for his quote: 'A developed country is not a place where the poor have cars. It's where the rich use public transportation.' When public transport in Thailand is 'good enough' to encourage the wealthy and middle classes to use it, only then will we see significant improvements. The BTS / MRT network is excellent, however, it is still unusable for most of the city: We use our car 99% of the time, because we don't live within walking distance of a station. In many cases, using a car is still quicker than getting a taxi to the BTS, taking the BTS, then using a taxi on the other side (and waiting at each juncture).... But, at times of peak traffic, if needing to get somewhere thats on a BTS / MRT line we often drive 'out a little' and park up at Lotus OnNut and then take the BTS. The other factor is the heat - its hot and sweating walking 100 or 200m to a BTS station - thats a lot more uncomfortable than sitting in Air-conditioning, with cooled leather seats. Thus: I think the only way to truly reduce congestion is to 'price people out' of using their cars - this is the only way it worked in London - Congestion charges...

Not allowed on foodpanda. Unless it is in a Thai national's name. Using it for 7-11 deliveries, either paying first or they scan it after arriving is no problem, them scanning it in the 7-11 is no problem. Foodpanda says For Thai nationals only, select a different payment method. My True Money Wallet works without stored payment (its just linked to a Thai Credit Card). It works in 7-11 etc - though I've never tried it with FoodPanda So, I'm not sure if this is a 'Thai National thing' rather it might be related to having a Thai Credit card perhaps ? I'm surprised people are still using Food Panda - We had many issues with very slow delivery (in Bangkok) and stopped using them years ago. GRAB Delivery has all the same restaurants and many more - though browsing on the phone is a PITA if you prefer to browse on the bigger computer screen. Aslo - GRAB standards are slipping, and deliveries are getting slower as they economise (profit) and double up on delivery, so your order could be slower as its delivered on a 'route' rather than a dedicated delivery, unless you opt to pay more for Premium Delivery.

Years ago, my Wife and I were on a very quiet Ethiad Airways flight from Bangkok to Abu Dhabi. There were 4 lads making a nuisance of themselves - it was like they had never flown before, they were excited, couldn't sit still, kept getting up and sitting in different seats (plane was only about 10% occupied). They kept going backwards and forwards to the toilet (about 10 or 15 rows in front) - I could smell cigarette smoke on them when they walked past. The flight attendants spoke with them... and this turned into a game. They kept going back to the toilet - the cabin crew would wait outside, tell them to sit down after they got caught smoking yet again. My concern was that these lads were such idiots they were going to put a cigarette butt into the waste paper bin and cause a fire. I was very surprised not to see any Police waiting when we got off the plane. The FA's did nothing other than try and stop them, which I guess is all they could do, but I'm also surprised the Captain did not get involved - I suspect they were 'somehow' connected locals, but this was Eco Class, so perhaps not, though I couldn't understand why this was not dealt with more seriously.

Firstly - what complete, antisocial ignorant pigs... ... How on earth did they even end up in Thailand in the first place if this is their behavior... While this is hardly a 'dangerous' activity - it shows complete disregard for anyone else around them and is at the height of anti-social behavior. Its likely this changes from office to office, from officer to officer and from day to day... Ultimately, the variable 'grey area' of bureaucracy in Thailand means consistency is not a strong point - this is one of the main reasons so much advice on here is varied and some get into arguments because someone else's information is different from theres and both parties are right based on their own individual experiences. Ultimately: - Get your EU License sent over - Get your Certificate of Residence (from Immigration) - Get the Medical Check Up certificate (from a local clinic - about 150 baht) - Go to DLT and take your chances on whatever Visa or entry Stamp you have. - If you have an IDP, its not necessary, but won't hurt either. ------------ Also note: - IF your EU (home country) diving license has a Motorcycle Endorsement (i.e. even for a 50cc motorcycle etc - and has some sort of 'silhouette' that looks like a motorcycle on the rear - you may also be able to get a Motorcycle License as well as a Driving License if you so wish.

Not exactly. Read the definition of a pre-existing condition. If the condition meets the satbility definition 6-12 months, no issues, no changes in medication, no visits to physician to address related issues, then it is difficult to deny unrelated injuries. If you already have a damaged body part, it will not be insured, since it can be expected to sustain further injury. If you have an unrelated injury such as poking your eye, dog bite, being run over, falling down the stairs because you slipped, those injuries' claims cannot be denied. I've received enough information from the insurance companies to prove my comments: Pacific Cross excluding everything and anything they can. Another poster has also suggested - If Pacific Cross find one mistake on the application form - they can use that to avoid further unrelated claims (thats not first hand information from me, just what I've been told on this forum). I've contacted a handful of insurers over the past few weeks and had numerous replies. I'm still awaiting a response for international Cover. Pacific Cross have excluded everything related to any injury I have ever had. - Meniscus tear - Arthroscopic repair (both knees - sporting injuries) - Ruptured Ligaments & Tendon - Surgical repair (one ankle - Sports injury) They have excluded both ankles when it was 'just the one' which was damaged !!!! Other Insurance companies: Such as NOW and AXA recognise that these injuries are non-symptomatic and I have fully recovered (as per medical certification) and as such have not counted any Ankle or Knee issues as pre-existing conditions. This is enough information for me to completely avoid Pacific Cross. AXA Thailand seem the most reasonable at the moment - both on Premium and Level of Cover Add in OPD and its an extra 20,000 baht per year (which I don't think I'll need) - so 43,000 baht all in which I find quite reasonable. I'm awaiting a response for quotes from an oversea broker regarding 'overseas cover' which as I understand it from Sheryl's input has stronger regulation. I've had a previous poor experience with April (who Sheryl recommends) when they rejected a 130,000 baht claim based on very spurious reasoning a number of years ago.

I'm not sure about the 100ml-liquid rule (we didnt have liquids anyway), but we didn't have to take out laptops etc... the whole 'passing through security' was exponentially faster than it ever has been before. It's for a different system, not immigration. You would be able to get through the rest of the departures process including boarding without showing boarding pass or passport again as it would be done with facial recognition. It was due to be implemented in November and December but I've never heard of it actually being switched on yet. I'm in and out regularly - it was only this last time (just before Christmas) that I was directed to the Auto-Immigration-Gate. The previous time, a month before hand, the exit procedure was 'human'....

I'm not even sure how you register... After checking in (as normal), then going through security, an immigration officer directed me away from the manned Immigration booths to use the Auto-Immigration Gates. I expected it not to work, however, the process was seamless and very quick. Thus: I'm not sure what the registration comments are about.

When departing Thailand a few weeks back, I was directed to one of the Auto-gates. I've never registered. I simply placed my passport face down on the screen. Then the system took my photo. Done - in about 15 seconds - very quick. I now have no exit stamp, but don't imagine thats an issue. If it works this well for everyone - then this will speed up departures no end. Now they just need to improve the speed of security screening (as they have in the EU, with better scanning machines so no need to remove items from the bag (if not carrying liquids) - then drop the silly fixation with power banks. ... and also improve arrival processing times... All a step in the right direction as by far one of the worst part of flying is the headache of getting through the airports.

Is it ???.... it it were 'obvious' this would be reported as a murder. But its not, becasuse there is only circumstantial information that shows there may have been a conflict. Based on the information in the Op, I too suspect foul play as I'm sure many would given the same information - but as Nick Carter pointed out, there are other possibilities regardless of their plausibility.
