Google search for 'thailand covid 19 entry requirements' in the past 24 hours delivers this. Most helpful response comes from the Singapore Government!

Where any rational person would. The relevant website of whatever country they intend to visit and the airline they are flying. Not exactly a newsflash is it.
You have obviously never 'researched' something on a Thai Government web site?

It's a poorly designed web page as it won't let you go past the first screen unless you tell them you've been ill which I'm sure isn't the intent. A paper T8 form will do for me I think.
ETA: It also asks for a jpg of your passport so you may want to prepare that in advance if you intend to use this app/web page.
Insane!
The page accepted an entry date of 31st Feb 1920 and allowed me to upload a picture of Santa Claus instead of a passport. All other fields were filled with rubbish entries. I didn't save the form but many will probably spam the sh*t out of this as a perverse form of entertainment.
Some of the most amateurish cr*p software I have ever seen!

You’re ignorance knows no limits. Imagine the best equipped hospital in Lombardy, with 20 icu beds with ventilators. 100 patients arrive this week with viral pneumonia, all requiring a ventilator. Antibiotics have no effect on a virus. That’s what is going on in Italy, and went on in Wuhan. Iran is worse because it has even less facilities.
The problem with common sense I see that it isn’t that common.
Look on the bright side. This is going to be a massive 'Darwin' event that will see the surviving human race, younger, smarter and less likely to elect morons or vote for idiotic policies.

You have made a false statement when you said that no spray is going to help. 99.9% alcohol spray will kill any virus or germs on your hands and it is easier to carry than your cake of soap and your sink and water to wash your hands
Pure alcohol evaporates too quickly to kill the virus. That's why medical sprays use around 80%. Most hand sanitisers are 60%. Less than 50% won't kill.

it is a waste of time indeed . you can't protect yourself from this virus.
it is all nonsense of the WHO and idiot doctors who think that the
world is their laboratory.
you can sanitise busses and streets, you can't wipe out subway railings and
hope it will "kill the virus". those are mostly useless desperate acts.
this virus will spread around until it disapears. no mask and no quarantine will help.
If I was a doctor I would refuse to waste my time treating people who thought that after so much study I was still an idiot.
Get a mirror mate.

I agree Thailand is a gossipy place but the computer crime laws are also strict and ruthless, the government has made clear it will use these for spreading rumours about COVID. Rumours without fact are dangerous but it also stops any genuine concerns because of the fear of unjust prosecution.
My personal belief is that Thailand cases can be found in the published figures reported in the PUI daily. The problem being that no mention is ever made of who has been tested positive or negative. So a best guess for me would be in the 1000 up range who are positive and have been identified but who knows how many more walking around.
3000 cases of 'viral pneumonia' probably gives you a massive hint?

We took my wife's sons from a previous relationship overseas last year, kids haven't seen their biological father since they were bubs.
Local Amphur said try and find father to sign a consent first, if that failed, get the local mayor to provide a letter to the Amphur and the Amphur would provide a letter noting that the father was nowhere to be found, which they later did, we then did the visa applications and biometrics and it was smooth flying from there.
Even though the mother was here, she still had to go through the process, so I imagine that their mother would have to do the same, from abroad though and best seek the help from family members.
That said, when searching for the father, e.g. went to his mother's, sister's and his X wife's houses in BKK, no luck, although we found out that he had 3 further relations since my wife left him, having a further two kids with each relationship, therefore my wife's sons have 8 step brothers and sisters......can you imagine if this country had child support....lol
Thanks for your info. Already have a visa and mother obtained sole custody as father is not Thai. In spite of this concerned that IO will hassle them just because they can. Maybe tell them to use the autogate?

Under 18 child will be traveling with their over 18 sibling to visit their mother overseas. Does the under 18 need a letter or anything in order to leave Thailand?
Their mother has sole custody. Father AWOL for many years.

Could it be because foreign bank notes tend to come from outside Thailand, and have gone through an unlimited number of hands, many of those that might be infected?

Both these countries first cases were back in January. So when you compare this with Sth Korea and Italy and Iran who exploded above a 1000 in such a short period of time in comparison. Questions need to be asked is are Thailand, Malaysia and Singapore ect all lying about the numbers. Are is heat and humidity a large factor in viral spread
Current infection stats from John Hopkins webs site:
- Singapore 138
- Malaysia 93
- Thailand 50
International arrivals:
- Thailand 38 million
- Malaysia 25 million
- Singapore 14 million
So if imported cases dominate in hot climates we would still expect Thailand to have more cases than Singapore and Malaysia. So why is the opposite the case?
With a puny 8.5 million visitors and a climate hotter than Thailand's why does Australia have 76 cases?
Perhaps more important - why be an apologist for the obvious lying of dysfunctional Government?

Point to note though. 50 of the cases in Australia has all recently been in Wuhan, China, Japan or Iran. Local "spread" is only around 18. Hardly a crazy explosion of cases like in Italy or Sth Korea
Singapore? Malaysia? Maybe those countries are lying about the numbers being much bigger than they really are.
So Thai to turn some random characteristic of Thailand into a virtue. Could equally be Some Tum, Paala, because country was never colonised or simply because 'Thailand number one'.

It is all to do with temperature, putting it simply, Thailand is too hot ( over 27 Cel ) for the virus to thrive

Average income means nothing. If 9 Thais are earning ฿9000 per month and an engineer is earning ฿119,000 the average for that group is ฿20,000
Similar to Happy Grumpy, the security guards are making about 12k/month as they get paid ฿500/day (for 12 hour shifts per day). The housekeepers probably make a little less but supplement their income cleaning private units (small 1br) for ฿300 or so per cleaning. The guys hanging on ropes painting our hi rise are making ฿900/day for 8 hour days. Two people I know own restaurants. One pays the staff ฿400/day the other ฿350. Entry level office jobs (with university degree) start at ฿15,000. A close friends husband who is an electrical engineer for Dtac with 15 years experience makes ฿100,000/month.
as you can see...it’s all depends on the job.
That's why you need to take the median salary but even the Australian Prime Minister doesn't understand this.

Interesting discussion here, as Thailand puts itself at high risk. The low number of reported cases is statistically hard to explain, which was pointed out in this scientific paper some days ago.
The paper may not reflect the latest numbers, but its conclusions are still valid. There may be not just rumours....
Will end up being vilified by the global community if their lies are facilitating the spread of the virus and will surely lead to social unrest inside Thailand.
Can't they see that?

They have all your previous information in their computers and yes, they check it. Or, maybe you think they are looking at Facebook on their monitors?
They know everything about you and your history and will have your photo already loaded, so good luck..
PS: if you are worried about being deported, best to be financially prepared to buy the flight home.
If they know 'everything', why did they make such a fuss about linking my new Australian passport with my old one?
Thai girl at the embassy wrote something in my passport about it needing to be linked. Spent ten minutes on departure at an immigration desk getting it linked.
My feeling is that they wanted it done competently rather than left to chance that a lazy IO would do it.
Another incident in Malaysia also made me wonder. New passport and the IO says welcome to Malaysia this your first trip. Actually traveled there nearly once a month for years. I said no been here before, surely you can see that? He just similed and clammed up.
Thai friend I was traveling with had enormous hassles at Singapore immigration when the place was completely deserted.
As result, I believe what happens at immigration really depends on how busy it is and how diligent the IO is, much more than how good their systems are. In any case, last time I traveled, half the finger print scanners were down. It was easy to choose a line that was not being finger printed.

Good suggestion but, if the area is unsupervised, I wonder how long it will last before someone takes it home.
That's why I should install soap dispensers and make sure they are regularly filled... but... and it's a big but... this costs money that will eat into MY profits and provide no benefit to ME!

Seriously?
The sole reason for the existence of the Thai Visa forum is inaccurate, inconsistent and contradictory information provided by the Thai Government, especially the Immigration Department.
For example, many Thai Embassy web sites insist that visitors entering visa exempt can only spend 26 weeks in Thailand even though this rules was revoked many years ago. This is a frequent question on TV. Ubon Joe must have go sick of correcting this unforgivable error.
Many parts of Thai Government web sites have not been updated for decades and feature at best illiterate English or worse no English at all. For example The Thai Ministry of Foreign Affairs claims that the information on their web site is "Copyright © 2012-2014". What a joke!
As you suggest, I can only assume that you are so much smarter than me that you are able to extract meaningful information from this sh*t show.
