    Transam is English right?

i think have Thai restaurants every western country. Because thai food is delicious.

England food restaurant is popular anywhere? Outside England?

Wow! You obviously never eat Thai food in Australia! Horrible rubbish according to my Thai friends. 'Thai Food' is a brand just like McDonald's.

Marketing sucks people in to eat substandard food in every country.

    Buddha not a prophet.

    Christians would call him one.

    Quote

Is about a deer with a red nose. The other deer teasing him. So Santa (jai dee maak) say he can be the leader.

    Then everyone like him.

    Correct?

"Dingle Bell" is just one of many Christmas Carols a lot of which are of a religious nature. Look up the lyrics to "Hark the Herald Angels Sing" on Google and report back.

No. Thai people ok with Christmas.

I love seeing Thai people happily listening to Christmas carols (songs) when they don't understand the words. Often the words are proclaiming Christ to be the only and true saviour. In other words Buddah is a false prophet.

If Thais understood I wonder if they would accept what is being sung?

Renting is money down the drain...

Not if you can invest the purchase price for a greater return than the rent. My Australian super fund returned 13% last year. In other words 21,000 baht a month on 2 million baht. Can easily rent a 2 million baht condo for less than 21,000/month. Note that a benchmark rate of 4-5% is more realistic though.

Buying a property you will never be able to sell in your lifetime is also money down the drain. If the money is invested you can access some of it if needed for say medical bills. If you tie your money up in property you can't sell part of it, only sell the whole thing.

On the other hand, owning a property provides certainty and security in the event of rents increasing faster than the cost of living. You don't have to put up with the landlord's rubbish furniture and colour scheme. You don't have to fight the landlord to get your deposit back if you move. And of course moving is always an option if the building deteriorates or you have neighbours from hell.

I don't think you understand.  50% of all foreigners don't pay their hospital bills....if you let them enter twice, then that means 100% of all foreigners wouldn't pay their hospital bills.  ????‍????

Cruel joke. Maths is not an obvious strength of TV members. But you do offer a suggestion as to why problems often start around the third entry. 150% of foreigners not paying their hospital bills would bankrupt the country.

I don't think this would be classed as a leak, it is a severe breach of data protection by an official government agency, this is a very serious issue and should not be taken lightly

Thais responsible would just regard it as a clever idea for promoting their business.  When IOs already hand out recycled paper containing personal details to all and sundry, why would anyone care?

I have read literally dozens of policies and never seen such a provision.

There are provisions that prevent double claims,  of course. And some policies specify that any other insurance must  pay first. But I have never seen a policy that precludes having other insurance.

Not saying it doesn't exist but I'd need to actually see such a policy document. It is definitely not the norm and it is hard to imagine why an insurer would want to do this.

(I agree with you re Elite option though)

Common practice in the insurance industry.  You can't insure the same risk more than once.  Try purchasing three or four car insurance policies for the same driver/vehicle.

And before anyone mentions it you buy life *Assurance* not *Insurance*!  The risk is based on how long you live not the probability of an event happening (or not as the case may be).

    No O-A  need heallthinsurance hmmm

and NON O extension dont need hmmmm

THE next thing will be the cancelation of all NON O  and NON O MULTI  Visas

and this followed byan ADD ON ..for grandaftherd Visas ( i had a nice add on in 2003)

..than everybody must apply with o-a , and everybody need special thai nonsens insurance ( 400k for hosiptal haahha 2 days could cost ou this already and a more stupid OPD w 40k)

    welcome to thailand.........

Interesting thought.  I was refused my fourth Non-Imm O (to visit my Thai daughter) at an Australia consulate in March.  The consulate staff told me they would give me a Non-Imm OA or a ME Tourist Visa.  I now live in Australia but had been pretty much living full time in Thailand using the Non-Imm O. (Before the hounds arrive, yes I know that's probably not intended use of the visa).

Either pushing me towards an extension of stay (likely) or pushing me towards an OA knowing that a plan like this was in the works (possible as you say).  Would not be at all suprised if retirement O is retired (oh the irony) and replaced by OA only.

    Hello

If their idea is to have a 440.000 bahts warantee from farangs, why not ask them to deposit 440.000 bahts more into one account.. ?? at least this money would be here and not subject to disclaimer of waranties.. At least the money would be here and would not be spent in a low warantee insurance duplicating with your home country insurance

    Have a nice day

Baht it is baht. No such thing as bahts!

Surprise surprise....Another falang trying to live in Thailand on a tourist visa being denied. When will people learn that the times have change in Thailand. Thai immigration is right saying that your not a tourist as you know your not a tourist, so why are you acting all shocked?. I would get the hint and save yourself the money on the ED visa and choose another country to live in.

I wonder what German immigration will say if a Thai citizen will have a history of tourist visas keep coming into Germany????

I would be careful with your comments!

It appears to me that the form will be difficult, if not impossible to complete. For example, the form requires signatures of two insurance company directors. Any idea how gets this accomplished?

Also, my insurance, as a US military retiree, has a lifetime, basically unlimited coverage with a front end deductible vs minimum inpatient and out patient coverage.

I travel on a non imm o-a multi entry visa and my hope that things will get sorted out before I need to deal with this.

Who can possibly verify a director's signature? TI have heard of Photoshop and so I am certain they will never accept a foreign policy.
