  1. So is Michelin overpriced shiite ?

If the difference between michelin and others is only around 1000 baht I will take Michelin by habit, I think it's not worth looking for cheaper, but if the difference is 4000 for each tire I will start to think.

    Michelin 225/45r18 costs around 8000

if Thunder or Deestone cost 4000 its worth trying, I am not a pilot and have no interest in performance.

  2. Near Nongprue Intersection on Soi Siam Country Club is a tyre dealer that carries Deestone tyres. Never heard about that brand but they were tempting cheap - as in 2,400 per tyre for 195ers. Almost a year and about 30,000 km later I must say I will never pay more for a tyre again!

Do you have location or name of the shop ? Thank you.

  3. First get rid of the dam low profiles. more tread between the road and rim the better . Yes the USA has 30,000 40,000 60,000 and even 80,000 mile tires and if you rotate properly and drive normal they will last. I have always purchased the 60,000 mile ones and have never had a problem with them lasting. I am shocked at some of the sh...t tires Thailand passes off on people.

60,000 km is only about 38,000 miles Why is Thailand charging so much for such a pathetic piece of rubber.

    HEllo,

I really hate my low profiles tires except for look.

I have 225/45, what do you think I could use and are they cheaper if not low profile ?

    Thank you.

  4. I was a loyal cockpit customer until I checked out the guy on Soi Siam Country Club. Some off brand at half the price. 30,000 km later I will not go back to any expensive brands. Cannot feel any difference

Hello, where is this guy soi siam ocuntry club ?

Selling low quality brands or cheaper famous brands ?

    Thank you.

  5. Not many benzers here ;-)

    you must be joking

you will see either a BMW, benz or Porsche cayenne every 500 meters in bangkok

here in the northern part of thailand there are ALOT of newer benz models

Just highlights the level of corruption if so many thais (with an average income of 250,000 baht a year) can buy a car worth 3-4 million. Even in the west few people would spend $120,000 on a car.

Some folk on this forum are so far out of touch with reality they they can't comprehend how a Thai can be successful without some form of negative input. The beleifs of these posters is fundamentally flawed, their Western arrogance is blinding when they fail to recognise that many Thai's are far smarter and far more successful than they are or ever will be.

I agree with you but all the successful Thai that I know have been mostly successful at being born in a rich family :-)

No problem with that, but among the Thai German cars drivers I know none of them bought it thanks to their hard work <3

By the way, to stay on topic, do you only own BM and what do you think about Benz ? No problem with your car as many reported problems with BMW on this forum ? Thanks.

  6. So people still don't know that it is not customs who check courier companies parcels but companies themselves ?

This is the reason why they are allowed to deliver parcels faster, they work for customs departments all over the world !

So of course never use couriers but EMS is still not a problem for us,
