What if the money is earned by your own company in Thailand?
Would I be right in thinking that case the company would just purchase the property as an asset of the business and then set it up that as a director/shareholder you would live in the company owned property.
Seems that paying yourself a huge salary in Thailand and then not being able to purchase property with the money, because you've not brought it in from overseas is a bit of a problem.
Actually there are probably tax implications that can be avoided by not paying yourself a large salary and instead providing yourself with company accommodation.
of course you can buy a condo if you earnt and taxed the money in Thailand

It sounds like a poor decision-making call but was there an illegal infraction?
i believe one can make a u-turn on an undivided road as long as there is not a prohibitive sign...no different than a car coming off a side soi or residence wanting to go the opposite direction thus crossing over the on-coming lane....
just dont go when not clear...what does motorcycle at speed mean? Not traveling at safe speed?
you should never drive in Tahiland again, as you drive only like yyou believe and the worth thing is your believe is completely wrong.
undevided line means you are not allow to pass it 1 or 2 doesn´t matter. But this 99% of all people don´t know (if know don´t respect)
in germany it means 400 euro fine and 3 points in traffic register. (12 points mean you are loosing your license for 2 years)

you really think that russian goverment would care about any unpaid bills in Thailand? if they buy the condo, the money has to come from outside the country not from russia! saying that is money laundring is a very high accusian, how did you buy your condo? Maybe on the name of your thai wife with your money, this would be for sure money laundering!

you only have to fill in name, nationality, date of birth and passportnumber, no other personal information

So, I was reading that Qatar has given Neymar 300m euro to be the poster boy for their world cup. Neymar has bought himself out or Barca for 199m euro with the rest of the 300 going on agents fees etc..... then PSG have signed him on a free, which keeps them clear of FFP......
Some would call it dodgy, but you could argue it's a legal and creative way around FIFA/UEFA's FFP rules.....
What it says to me is that it's a major step forward towards a European Super League. So it doesn't matter that Neymar has gone to a weaker league, because for the time being it's all about the Champions League.... which I think will morph into the Super League.
sorry but it not work like this, for 300 Million he would have to pay 160 million income tax in Spain as this is his recidence, so it´s more about 400 million before tax and as it is clear where the money comes from, FIFA and UEFA can never accept any doggy solution, everybody will look in this bussiness, like tax office, Fifa, Uefa, la liga, french league and every sports journalist, they will follow the money in every direction and find out where it´s coming from

It is possible to work legally from Thailand for an UK employer / online business when you have a local company sponsor your work permits for this job, depending on the type of work you do. This way you can get a work permit, visa and pay taxes in Thailand.
this is not true, you don´t need any permission to work for a company outside Thailand, as it doesn´t touch thai law.
why you make statements when you don´t have any experience and proof of this matter`?
It will be under the law where your employer or company has their location. And as never anybody get fined for working on his computer in Thailand, I think this matter should be closed anyway.
No foreigner can work by is own with work permitt!
The only thing is you can employ people to work as digigal normades for you. This would break thai laws, because you employ them in Thailand.

there will not be any problem if you leave the country on the 4th, jus twhen you come back you need to report after 90 days

Well, thousands of employees - desperately needed to keep the commercial wheels of Thailand turning - have been sacked, kicked out and most likely not even gotten paid.
An excellent example is the story doing its rounds of a hotel which got a new coat of paint outside; the work started at the beginning of the month, would take three weeks and done by less-than-legally-employed Cambodians. On the 27th an anonymous call to the immigration cleared the painting site which was in the process of being cleaned up, packed and ready to go. Needless to say that the workers got all arrested without pay and extradited; if and how much money of the savings by the hotel went into third channels is a matter of imagination.
Bottomline is, that only very desperate aliens from Cambodia, Laos and Burma come into Thailand taking unofficial jobs. And there will be payback time in the future, somewhen and somehow. Meanwhile the army officially kicks them out which results in "hire Thais" (who don't want to work in the first place), hampers the Thai employer's output, creates hatred and evil and will be backfiring big time one day anytime soon in the future.

Siam - quo vadis?stop spreading lies on internet, you know nothing about this migrant worker or their situation at home.
most of them get payed normal wage, you think it is so easy to let them built and then call the police?
try this and you would see with ho many knoefes in your body you will be found.
this migrannt workers nearly can´t get a passport in their home country and if it will cost them may be a 6 month salary.
we had a cook who left with many others because the police raided the places where they are living. And this peopel will not come back, only because now the prime minister found out, that this is a stupid idea and now try to put everything back on start, but
people left and more will leave, Thailand not have enougn Thai´s for the existing work , we could employ 4 and we have 1, because impossible to get any. We pay everybody the same salary. A thai would not get more or a migrant worker less, it´s about qualification!

Dear OP. Seems to me, you have done a lot of "leaping before looking" already. Now, on the verge of starting a commercial enterprise, your are alredy knee-deep in the "work-permit/Thai-partnership jungle".
Thai-Law is clear about this: "Whatever a Thai-National can do, a foreighner is not allowed to do". (Commercially). Period!
Violators can be fined heavily (up to 100'000 Bht and/or imprisonement of up to 5 years.) Unless you are involved in rocket-science or astro-physics, your chances of securing a work-permit are practically zero.
Instead of contemplating Business-Concepts, at this point, why not familiarize yourself beforehand with the "Law(s) of the land"?
Cheers.a thai can do every work, this is not a reason for not getting a work permitt
-
buy the land in the name of a Thai person, do a usefruct contract with the new owner, put all your kids and family (brothers, nephews and sisters) in and make the contract for lifetime. Also add in the contract that after the contract finish the landowner has to buy back the house on the land for the market price. You can put the house in your name easy, it´s allowed by Thai law. It costs you a very small amount to do the usefruct contract, less than 1000 THB and you are safe!

Having been to Thailand over 30 times I do have some idea of what goes on. Indeed, parts are very 3rd world - but that will not prevent those who want passports getting them.
being 30 times in Thailand doesn´t prevent you for writting stupid comment, people have to get passport in Myamar, and this is everything but not easy, take months and costs a lot of money, many people belong to different ethnics, who not have the same rights like others.

If some Thai for whatever reason decides to drop a dime on you and the police show up at your door saying it's illegal, it's about as "illegal" as it needs to be. the police not decides what is illegal, a court decides. all the rumors and wrong posts here, get a life

Any "income" remitted to Thailand in the year it is earned is taxable if you reside here more than 180-days/yr. Any income made *in* Thailand would certainly be taxable.
If you leave your money overseas for a year first, then you can remit it here with no taxes due. Therefore, if you have enough in your foreign account to cover a year's expenses, you can avoid paying tax here. I'd redeem my bitcoins elsewhere (not on a Thai exchange), and bring in the money a year+ later.
how somebody in Thailand knows, when you made what money? you don´t have to do any tax statement, so you can bring money you earnz zhe same day to thailand

start ups for vocational students`? what a joke, what startups you have in Thailand, done by Thais`?

Volunteering definitely requires a work permit in Thailand. There's no doubt about that.
volunteering requires only a work permit if you do it for a company or organisation, if you do it alone then you need nothing.

So true and annoy me.
If a Thai wife, for example, has a restaurant and her foreign husband helps her to shop and carry the heavy drinks boxes,
the married couple is then in danger of getting high fines up to 800,000 Baht plus prison for it.
And there are unfortunately many money-loving officials who do not miss something like that.
I could puke.
A legislation which is clearly directed against foreigners married with Thais.
It's time to pack the bags.this is not true, you not get fined when you shopp with your wife or carry things,
even customers help to carry things from my car to the kitchen every time when I come from macro,
this a re all this stupid rumors. post clear facts or use this story only for your wife as a reason for not helping her.
we have a restaurant, even my 16 years old son helps there nearly every day , now he works in the summer school and he is not Thai!
I help my girlfriend every day, she wuld leave me if I would help her in the restaurant.

I don't understand why people get scared. It clearly states that only those who violate the laws will be under threat and punished. Of course this is nothing new.. these rules and regulations have been here for ever. We all know that we have to abide by our contract with employers and have proper work permits and Visas. If this is implemented strictly then it is goodbye for several cheap Charlies disguised as teachers and advisers just extending their holidays ..
no this is not about the some teachers, it is about all the hundret thausands workers who keed this country running day by day.
We have a restaurant in Chiang Mai and we are looking since 2 years for staff, we would employ 4 Thais but never ever any Thai shows up to apply, The only persons you can get ( I not countig the western foreigners who like to apply) are Burmese people. Every second person in hospitality in CM are burmese. Since 1 month the police checking all bussines and also the areas where the Burmese living, now our last cook left, and with him húndrets of others in the last 2 days.
Most of them even not have a passport. In´s not so easy to get a passport if you belong o one of the tribes in Burma. And even then, try to apply for a work permit in Thailand with a Burmese passport, bribes and agents everywhere, nearly no change to do it by your selve, it costs you before you start working 20.000 to 30.000 baht, what is nearky 8 to 10 month burmese salary in myamar.
Do you really think this peopel like to work without work permits, without health insurance? To get blackmailed by every police officer, taxi driver or landlords, to scary to drive motorbikes, because of the check points.
You can enforce labour work if you have a clear and easy way for people to apply, Thailand has less than 1% unemployment,
and you can´t get any thai staff, even uneducated unskilled are impossible to get!!!!
Hiring a Thai as Chef to go to the US.
in Visas and migration to other countries
Posted
you cant get a visa as a thai chef, there is only 1 cooking school in BKK what you SIL who need to finsihed (3 years) to be accepted as a chef for thai food.
Otherwise everbody could apply as a thai chef. same as every American could ask for a work permit as a burger chef.
without a proper education and work experience no change for a working visa as a chef.
