The bike should be insured or you get no road disc, drivers and passengers are covered 3rd party, if you want bike damage cover you can get a additional voluntary insurance.
no insurance coverage if driver has no driver license1
you have to be 15 years and you get a license for up to 110 cc and this is because there is no production of motorbikes under 108 cc
before it was 90 cc.
As long there is no accident, your kids facing max 200 Thb fine for not having driver license

again a lot of bashers, who don´t know anything, the owner has to report your stay to the Imigration, it´s not your problem, and it is also no risk for the owner as Imigration is not interested if you pay something for your stay or not or how much. And there is no law about renting time, you can rent out your house for a day or a week or 30 years. In Thai law is no specification

I was told the same thing by immigration officials at the office in the Government Center located off Hwy 104. I asked for one for a driver license, a motorcycle license and bank. They told me it was not issued for bank. But they issued one for a license & one for motorcycle ฿200 each. I was directed to the same que for visa extensions not for my 90 day check in. I received mine in the mail in about a week.
It seems the officials are always helpful when I show up dressed appropriately (long pants and button up shirt). The only time I had problems or received attitude was when I overstayed due to holiday and I wore shorts and t-shirt.
esidence certifikate is free by law, IMO can´t charge you for this, if you pay to IMO you can be accused of bribing an officer,
here in CM Mai there is a big sign what says service is for free, and never any officer would take money from you

Not always that simple, many exit points want to see a letter from your employer stating your last date of employment.
you don´t need anything when you leave the country, you are not a slave, the only thing is, if no reentry permit is issued, than you have to do the whole process again, but you can leave the country any time you want.

This is right. My wife renewed her Thai passport two years ago (she is also a UK Citizen) but she is required by Thai immigration to have both the old and the new passport with her when she enters and leaves Thailand, don't ask me why, it's just what they want. Makes you wonder why they issue a new passport in the first place.
you don´t need your old passport in your home country whether for enter or leaving it. You may need old passport may be only if you enter/leaving another country.

As you wrote she will show her Canadian passport to the airline to prove she doe not need a visa to enter Canada.
She will still have the old Thai passport after getting the new one. She could show both passports on departure from the country.
wrong, you don´t need your old passport at all in your home country, he just leave with a new passport.

And what if I do not report during 1 year until the next visa ? I have no intention to meet these troublesome people more than once a year and I don't mind paying.
2000 baht fine x 4 = only 8000/year ? Still cheaper than Elite !
it´s not 4x 2000thb it is only 1x 2000 thb, but if you leave the countr you are safe

I suppose if you're trying to attract foreign investment it's nice to be able to say we have 0% unemployment. Some call it news, some call it spin; I don't know what to believe. Perhaps I should go out on a limb and 'TRUST' on good faith?
why any foreign company would go to a country where unemployment rate is 0%? nonsense, it makes it much more expensive to get staff, higher wages, more for human resources departent.
We looking for our restaurant since 2 years for staff, in 2 years only 3 Thai´s showed up. But i got more than 50 messages from western foreigners who are looking for a job in CM. Last week we got a warning from a police friend , that now in CM they are going after all the burmese workers, what would shut down the tourist industrie in Chiang Mai, because more than 30.000 are working in hotel, restaurants and service business here

Who are all those people I see lounging around town ? I guess there are different definitions of work. I was sitting outside a bar a few years ago and a policeman walked up and said "You own a property in Thailand, therefore you are working, and since you do not have a work permit you must give me 50,000 Bht right now or you are going straight to jail". Needless to say it was a friday late evening, so what choice does one have but to pay when accused of "work" !
what a bullshit, how a foreigner can own a property and why you should pay any money if you are not working.

So any usufruct written during a marriage in the land deed is rendered void through a divorce?
That is more than a bit of a bummer.
There are any number of guys who have "secured" land in this way.
bullshit, a usefruct has nothing to do with a marriage. It is still valied and nobody would buy the house when a 3. party has the usefruct on it. It´s the best way to keep your rights on land, when you a foreigner

never a dull moment here, i wish i had more rooms

to many 7 eleven mongers
for bars and restaurants it may be a bit less
because of too many long term stingy travellers
we made a new record between 11.4. and 17.4. but before and now it´s terrible low in CM.
cheap charlies, buying drink in 7-11. It should not be allowed to walk with alcohol on the streets. They not do in their home country but here they change sometimes nearly to animals

you can get a work permit to help your wife in her business, if you have a extension based on married with a Thai, easy if they see that you are married long time and you run business in UK already together, nothing to do with IMO only with labour office. But only easy if your wife doesn´t have a limited company, otherwise the company has to do the work permit and then 4 Thai workers, 2 Million capital and high salary and only jobs allowed for foreigners

So, who do we believe? Mr Anonymous on an internet forum. Or the big industries of Europe? Here is CEO of Siemens, Europe's biggest:
"We never said the UK is in bad shape if it leaves the EU: we said the EU would miss a massive opportunity."
the good thing is we will see in a short future, how it will be. And I not said we are happy if anybody leaves,
You should listen to your own people MOP and HOL
and people with money will always make money, they don´t need a succesful country, they can bet on raising or falling, the normal people and companies can´t. We don´t wish anybody in the UK anything bad, but we will not give you anything for free, this is only what the UK citizen should respect.

From what has been stated in earlier posts the existing passport is canceled in the UK passport offices records when they process the application for the new one. If you were to travel with it and had a problem that caused some authority to check with the UK to see if was still valid it could be a big problem.
The old passport is cancelled, when the new passport is produced, otherwise everybody would be illeagal in any country if applying outside Great Britain for a new passport as you allowed only to stay in a country with a valid passport.
I don´t know about the british but a German passport will be send to your adress if you wish and you pay the postage

as a citizen of one of the remaining countrys in the EU, I have to say that you have the rights to leave the EU, but by the written rules you signed before.
And acceppt that there are 48 % of British citizen who are voted for remain, and not been so stupid to believe the lies of the Brexit campain. This people will vote in great Britian again and then may be the majority change dramaticly.
1. You not really believe that Great Britain will get a better deal as they have during their membership?
It´s like you get divorced and you not really expect your partner say, yes take the house, the bank accounts, the yacht and I will take the kid´s, the loans and will care about the parents in law also.
2. You will start nearly from 0, because after 2 years you will not have any trade contract with any country all over the world, every contract you have to negotiate new, have to agreed by both parlaments and put into your law. It will take you more than 10 years to be on the same level like today.
3. Your export companies will suffer because moost of the export goes to the EU. And it will not be so easy to find other country who are waiting for your cars and so on, if you not have even a trade contract with this countrys.
4. Companies will leave Great Britan, because they not get any support of the EU and it will be easier for them to prodice and trade if they are in the EU.
5. Your university will loose billions of EU support, what will effect the quality of their programs, you will have less foreign students and less income, British students will ahve to pay now if they study anywhere in the EU.
6. Most of the 3 million EU workers in GB are there for 5 years or more in 2 years, so they can stay anyway by Brisith law. You can´t force them to leave!
7. Your import will become dramatticly expensive (foods, parts for production, etc.) because of higher transport costs, lower value of the pound, much more time for delivery because of border controll. You need to check every truck, every suitcase at customs, you will have a hard border between both Irelands.
8. If You are going for holidays, you will wait for hours at the border, you need a Schengen Visa to enter the EU, what costs you 65 Euro each time. No weekend flight to Paris, no stag night in Prag, no sunbathing in Spain.
But on the other side you will get less tourist because it´s not comfortable to travel to Great Britan, tourist will not be covered by their helthcare if something happen in Great Britan.
And as you claim the right to decide whether or not to stay in the EU, give Ireland and Scottland the same right! And not block their wish for a new poll about leaving Great britain and stay in the EU.
Anybody who believe that Great Britain will gain anything positive from the Brexit should let check his brain,
there will be only negative results in the next 20 years, and for sure much more pain for Great Britain. You can´t really believe that
because you are leaving the world stops to turn.
My compassion is with the people who have voted to remain in the EU and now have to bear the same consequences
