  1. I spent alot of time by myself in pattaya and recently an really great ozzie bloke who was on his yearly two week millionaire trip handed me 400 baht and sayed lets go get pissed in soi 7.

I handed it back and sayed ill pay for me and you pay for you then we got hammered.

would taking that 400 baht make me like a prostitute friend ??

  2. Looks to me as if he was either stealing into the monk's bag, touching the monk's bag, or such. In the very first second his hand is on the monk's saffron gear/clothing. But a monk smacking another man... Gosh, seems quite unmonk=like.

The monk looks like a phony monk to me (robes the wrong color). Monks only beg early in the morning and then go back to the wat.

First off, the robes are the right color, second off, the monk was not out begging, looks like he was traveling from one temple to another. Third, the farang must have said something or done something that really pissed this guy off, because monks don't slap people. Maybe someone will correctly tell what happened. coffee1.gif

Yea, I agree; looks like monk to me. In fact, I have no sense that he is not. I still think the guy reached for or touched the monks carry bag but there must have been something that set this in motion prior, that would have promoted the camera to go on, and then the bag touching just escalated it. I have often thought that were I a monk I would be the warrior type who would slap the crap out of someone. This is just hollywood boyhood wing chun fantasy crap. The truth remains, a monk should actually not be digressing into slapping another human being. I realize they are an elevated station of society but I just cannot rationalize a monk slapping someone save imminent danger to self or others, or other profound escalation.

This I totally agree with.. There must have been something else going on that we aren't aware of. Monks don't slap people for no good reason, or for almost any reason actually. I've seen dek-wats get slapped in the back of the head but other than that, never. coffee1.gif

I disagree it seems you have taken the " thai apologist " to a new level or maybe you are thai yourself.... But by the look at this monks face he wasnt following any spiritual path just alot of rage towards farangs.

  3. Motivation for the attack, which has been unfolding since 10am today, is still unknown.

Doesn't the black Islamic flag make the motivation pretty obvious?
    UG,

What the suits are saying isn't necessarily an indication of how the police professionals are handling the matter.

The public arnt in the loop. It shouldn't surprise you. ;)

Rumour has it the guy holding the store up is 1 of 70 or so aussies not allowed to leave oz For reasons unknown.

  4. one the big downshot is that your assumption is wrong. Russian travel agencies have secured the same prices in Rubles with Pattaya hotels, the charter airlines still charge the same amount of Rubles for airfare and the only loss for Russian visitors is caused by more expensive sundry expenses (which most of them can still afford).

summary: your obvious wishful thinking won't become reality tongue.png

russian leaving pattaya ............. If heaven were a place on earth

  5. Hey OP.

You are 28 and you have traveled a lot. You earn $1000 a week in Australia and would like to live in Thailand more than you do. When you go back to Australia you have trouble coming down from being in Thailand.

    How am I doing?

So who is rude, the Aussies or Thais? When you are In Sydney, do you like to surf?

I am trying to be a little patient here because I am often mis-interpreted on this forum; and this guy makes me look like a Rhodes Scholar.

if you wake up early in LOS you can just walk down the street sipping coffee or tea chatting too people with out seeming like a total fruitcake.

i order 5 baht lemon tea and chat with the tea lady and am always complimented on my thai be the thais sipping tea behind me or the people ordering.

Here in sydney i was in 711 waiting for my 1 dollar coffee and a junkie western women pushed me out the way of the coffee machine and mumbled something .

I remember "neil davis " the great war videomaker says he missed vietnam when he was posted to work in london for the same reason.

    A

  6. Related to Thailand??.....oh I missed the topic header.

um its the come down from thailand that us young people who cannot goto get a dsp and a oap check every month and we usually come and go from rich to poor countrys and cities such as sydney to bkk.

I prefer thaistyle living if i could choose forever but believe me 30000 baht a week is prettysweet in oz every once on a while

  7. so addictive ive had come downs from not sleeping to not bother cleaning my cloths because theres no toilet bucket to wash in and no place to hang them and the machine in 4 dollars a pop

Ive also experienced a mental comedown from the people just bein plain damn rude.

western women especially barge into me whilst im goin to pay and another one shuved me out of the way at 711.

i hold doors open in my building and people just walk straight past and the local australians aren't a bit into you if your another aussie from outa town instantly looking down on you as a bum or bludger rejecting them from youth hostels and sharded accomadation i once had a reaction looking at a room in sydney" on the phone you sounded asian " then a filipino rejected me when he saw i was white aussie

  8. seems the education system is worse in aus than thailand if the OP is anything to go by... coffee1.gif

Education system????look nerd this is reality and im trying to explain what the hell is happening to the world ....

You are a whitey/farang who is frustrated because some Thai girls like Thai guys?

Pfftyou know too little of the subject to comment.

U know nothing about thai people living in australia .

  9. I believe there is a lot of fact in what the OP is saying, or trying to say.

What I have heard is this: Sydney has the most or second most Thai prosecutes in the western world, many sex parlours and brothel type massage parlours in Sydney are some are actually legal, many are exclusively staffed by Thais.

A Thai girl applies for an Australian education visa. She uses a native Australian male friend or pays a male Australian to pose as her fiancee to accompany her to Australia. Once in Australia the girl hooks up with other Thai ex-pats there where a job and accommodation is arranged for her. These Thai ex-pats know how to use the system and somehow manage to get the girl a permanent stay visa there, after which many will work as escorts, in the massage parlours or legalized brothels This is not demeaning Thai women but a fact as I am aware of. The word on the street is that Australia is one of the easiest countries for young Thai women to get into and stay permanently.

I know about this because my wife`s cousin done exactly that. She met an Australian guy on facebook, used him as her ticket into Australia and then dumped the guy soon after she was set up there and became an escort in Sydney.

majority of thais in sydney are not interested in farang and they often stick to there own.

Try walking in to a pub and getting the thai glare because your the only farang well ive has it at the criterion hotel sydney.

  10. I don't get it.

The Thai girls (who aren't involved with the Thai ex-pat community) meet someone who is involved in the expat community, and the Thai girl pays him 10000baht a month to be her pretend husband?

    Why?

    He must have that backwards...

10K seems to be the average amount Thai guys hand their gf/wife every month over here. Should be a bit higher in Oz though, huh? I wonder if the girls are still interested in farang money...

farang money What do you mean ?

If they're not interested in farang men, they might still be interested in farang money.

sydney is 70 percent asian and sorry farang isnt considered rich in australia more the reverse .

I once had a chinese tourist stare at me and give me the evil eye for drinking a cold longneck in the street on the floor in the local hang out spot of me and yes i had been called farang khee nok in thaitown sydney and have been chased by a thai for eating the free pokie room food in mr Bs pub .

And i have been yelled at by thai bar attendents for opening a bar door while they were cleaning on the other side of the door and the door happened to nudge them a little bit.

bad attitude problem with thai women in australia
