Funny how fast the system can work, if you are wearing the wrong color shirt..............
Or funny how the system can work when your shirt colour has no favorable friends left to ignore the law? Lol

Ban those idiots who think it is cool to dye their hair bright orange just before songkran so they can impress the gals up country before getting into a fatal accident on their scooters

One can get a 15 year car loan here? Which bank or finance company offers this?Almost all the cars Thais own are financed with loans that needs to be paid back within 15 years , That explains why "everyone" seems to be buying new cars, and also explains the high prices on used cars here, when they realize they can't afford to pay back the monthly interest to the bank....
I have been told you can extend your loans once started, and if you have a steady income there's no problema as long as you pay the interests. Average salary in Thailand is 15000 baht , lets say total income in the family is 30k.
They have to pay on the car for a long time ,a new car can be as much as 800k . So simple math really.
.
So let's say I buy a million baht truck and finance 600k of that over 48 months. Where does extend the loan part enter into this?

Rest in peace to a man who loved his family and was devoted enough to sacrifice his life for them. So by all means, lets criticize his poor education and economic conditions which lead the the tragic circumstances...thats the right thing to do at this point in time...
I got it, Strad, even if no one else did. What a terrible blow to this family. As for they on this site on whom your point will almost certainly be lost? Some people will never be able cope with or accept reality on its own terms, and will be compelled at almost anyone's expense to find, even in the absence of evidence, a cause and effect that permits them to feel as if the universe is within their capability to control. A phenomenon almost as tragic as the aforementioned event, but not quite.
yea I got it too Strad. Let's forget personal responsibility, health and safety and looking after our kids. Let's forget seat belts and Life Vests and all that jazz coz who cares?
Mai Pen Rai
Personal responsibility presupposes a knowledge of what that means. If you don't have it, because you were never taught it, and don't have money for anything more than a subsistence income, than the responsibility goes to those who enforce (or do not enforce) the maritime laws. As for you - using this thread as a tool for your own mockery of the man's income forced situation is reprehensible. But then again, you are what God made you...
Ouch,,,,but we'll said.

If this Thai fortune teller follows orders and stops predicting the fortune of Prayuth does that mean that he has no fortune?
No it means that if he was any good, he should have seen what the good Gen would have thought of his predicting his future.

Hi John, if you look closely at the BK menu board in store, I seem to recall whoppers etc have an australian beef type symbol on them.
Here's one BK Thailand ad image that shows the imported Australian beef logo.
I've never noticed that before in looking at their store menus, so I don't know if it applies to all their burgers or just some.
Their delivery menus/advertisements here don't seem to make any mention of it at all.
And a similar recent ad for their Whopper:
89 baht for a burger with imported beef? Yeah right.
are you saying there ad is wrong?

breaking news... 430 am - clouds outside, chance of rain...there is a chance. However as Murphy would have it, I suspect it will only rain at 8am (20% chance) and 6pm (80% chance) during rush hour....if it does rain at all.

For all those having a go at the father for not having a life jacket on board, keep that in mind the next time you fly down the expressway at 140 plus with your kids sitting in the back of your fortuner.
Do as I say not as I do is it?
You mean the kids that are strapped into their child seats or if old enough wearing a seatbelt!
OK!
haha yea, something like that.

Placebo effect Rob?
Not really.. because I was not expecting much. I actually never wanted to use it as it screws my weight tracking up. But will keep an eye on it if I get even more progress it would be remarkable.
I have been stalling on deadlifts for quite a while.. and on benchpress even longer. (think years for bench and months for deadlifts) so for me I am convinced. Unless I had an exceptional day.
ok cool, i tried it once for a little while ( a week or so) and didn't notice any difference. Maybe will look at it again sometime.

Well bitching aside, for the kids sake I think its better to remember their father as a hero for trying to save them than something else as described by a few on here. Can we leave it at that?

<script type='text/javascript'>window.mod_pagespeed_start = Number(new Date());</script>. . . few of the rich people who buy the luxury goods pay much tax, if any at all. They contribute as little as they can to society and prefer to spend their not-so-hard-earned money on Dior dresses rather than helping society move forward and increasing the quality for all involved
Pure BS from yet another clueless farang talking on matters he knows nothing about from the best vantage point he knows . . . his reclining armchair alt=rolleyes.gif>

In terms of percentage of population, Thailand was the most generous, with 85% of Thais making regular charitable contributions.I wonder if all those who give are poor.
Poor people in Thailand are known to donate a lot relative to their available funds. A rich person making millions or more who donates a percent or two of his enormous, untaxed income to the local temple doesn't impress me much. Or do you think those 85% of Thais are all rich people?
As for clueless farang... oh well...
Who gives a toss if YOU'RE impressed?
How do you know how much of their wealth they give? How do you know whether or not they pay tax?
Making stupid, mass generalisations only serves to highlight your ignorance
Hey, I am working hard on winning prick of the year on tv, stop crowding my space man.

I believe global warming is funded by mall owners to get us into their aircon on days like these so we can spend money so they can build more malls,.
Malls should have a big warning sign on them like ciggie packs....

In 2008 I got dragged to HRC buy a guy who "Doesn't eat Thai food".It isn't cheap but the "The Burger" (the original) at the Hard Rock Cafe is very good (and huge, I might add).
If you don't want to spend that much, the burger at No Idea Gastropub on Suk soi 22 is also very good.
"The Burger" was inedible, and internationally priced.
Lol 7 years ago,,,I wonder how many inedible burgers they have sold since then.
