Why would you say that? I have to show proof of 800K same as a Non OA.

I am paying the same amount for the Visa, extensions, re-entry permits, and have to show the money did not move from my Bangkok Bank Passbook...

You did not have insurance requirement like OA has with extensions in thailand.

And with visas outside of thailand NON-O retirement was usually easier to get than NON-O-A

And some countries did not even issued those at all,,I remember some saying it was "loophole visa"  for poor retirees.????

  2. Yesterday i read newspaper here in Finland. There was a story Thailand opening to tourists also but not for average tourist because of need for 15 K euros for 6 months. Journalist was in contact in thaiembassy and was told that already some touristvisas are approved and some in process in both touristvisa categories available at the moment.

First "Tourist"Finns are coming next month with these visas using same semi-commercial flights like other foreigners who are allowed.

  3. For Finland, There are two financial requirements and no companies and thai partners needed necessary however every embassy have their own rules and some like british thai embassy has branded this option as "condo owner" visa and want to see condo ownership also,, Finnish condo owners do not need "condo owner visa" because Finnish condo owners can apply STV-visa without need to show banking statements at all,,

Best to ask this option directly to your embassy if possible and what needed,,

  4. Thai embassy of helsinki will give you B - visa if you have 15 k EUR in home country and 3 mil baht in Thailand.

If i remember right Brits have similar but there was need for condo also. Check your embassy for details relevant to you.

  6. 2.5 STV cannot be changed to any other type of visa during the duration of stay in Thailand.

  7. Hope someone can confirm but if you live in Thailand using last years/old income/savings and not transfer Thailand this year income you do not have to proof anything to Thailand with this setup. So no tax owed to Thailand even if you live in Thailand, right ?

This was about passive income only,, If you work online actively to create income, then you should technically have work permit to do so legally even if your work is not Thailand related at all,,

Has this cabinet decision been published somewhere on the Internet?

I am sure it is somewhere on the internet but sorry can not remember any more where it was.
If i remember correct it ( 500K bank account) was generic minimum rule for all other visa types.

Thailand is about open it´s doors more and more  but gradually step by by step..If you are "average Joe" like millions of other tourists precovid, you have to wait maby longer you think,,,

Another thought occurred to me: there have been numerous posts from disgruntled condo and house owners who are stuck in their home countries and feel that property ownership should entitle them to priority in returning here. Dream on, folk, the whole idea is to stimulate the tourism industry, in other words, hotels, bars, restaurants and tourist attractions. Since people who own their home here are unlikely to spend anything in hotels or on tourist attractions, and will probably eat and drink at home a lot, I don't see them being any sort of a priority to be allowed back in. I might be wrong, but that's my take on matters.

Actually condo owners do not need to show their bank accounts for STV as all other people need to show minimum 500 K balance for 6 months,,
