  1. I’m planning to make a simple guide for Bangkok buses but it’s gonna take a while so I decided to start with something easier.

Title says it all. This is a plain guide for guys -living on an extremely tight budget- like myself for instance, who can hardly afford taxis or any means of transportation over 14 baht (except in emergency cases) but I believe it will be useful to all users regardless.

Buses to/from immi (ticket fare less than 10 baht):

    51 - 52 - 66 - 150 - 356

    -see trip maps down below-

The only bus from above which stops right in front of the central immi building is only no 66 (red bus, costs 6.5 baht, sometimes free).

Any other bus will drop you off in the main road entrance -Chaeng Watthana soi 7 - so you have to use the regular free shuttle service thereafter.

You can also take the train to Lak si (= Laksi). The ordinary train within Bangkok costs 5 baht (rapid/express trains cost 20 but there’s no difference really) so check ordinary train departures.

From Laksi train station you can get a bus or walk straight to immi (& vice versa) as it is not far – up to a mile methinks.

Not 100% sure if no 51 is operating nowadays, I think it does.

    Updates/suggestions are most welcome!

  2. Foreign Minister of Russia, Mr Lavrov:

"Turkish planes violate Greece's airspace some 1,500 times a year.

As for the recommendations to our citizens not to visit Turkey, this is not revenge, this was not the off-the-cuff decision. We assessed the presence of the terrorist threat in Turkey without bias."

    RT today's article:

They know how it’s done’: Turkey violated Greek airspace 2,244 times in 2014 alone

All borders are routinely tested.....I think we all know that.

    Routinely tested you said? Sure.

  3. This is BIG.

    Vlad will be mightily pissed.

i have been saying for years now that Turkey is cruising for a bruising with the Mad Sultan in office

    Will Russia reply with force?

Russia wasn't flying in Turkish airspace.

It was bombing Turkmen villages in Syria that have rebelled against Assad, with the support of Turkey, and eyeing some kind of Independence if conditions allow.

..so..basically The Mad Sultan was acting in support of his Turkic cousins.

..and talking about airspace violations, a Greek friend was telling me recently that Turkey has been sending fighter jets almost daily into Greek airspace for the last 30 years.

    NATO allies...<deleted>?

Correct and ironic at the same time.

Turkey and Greece are NATO members -considered allies- with Turkay violating Greek air space since like forever.

Cyprus invasion took place under the NATO umbrella as well.

  4. Good luck to the OP but the odds are against him and he will be working illegally in Thailand and possible court one day and as well being fined and deported.

How about if he managed to find a legal job with his ME non O in case he gets this visa? Or is it out of the question?

  5. Sorry to enlighten you this is a very dangerous country to be in if you run out of money. Love has nothing to do with it. Ha but good luck.

I arrived in BKK with a grant in my pocket. I am here for almost a year excluding two months I spent down under. Now I have more than a grant.

No way Im going back. I appreciate the advice and I am keen to discuss this further but not here as the thread is about marriage.

  6. There is no way you can qualify for a marriage visa so that is out of the question financially.

At your age, you have seriously failed YOURSELF and you want to drag someone else into your failed life?

One visit to the hospital, which will happen sooner or later at your age, and you will completely be ruined

    1) I know at least one person with less money and guess what, he got married.

    2) You judge people based on their money? We can discuss this in other threads if you dont mind.

    3) So far twice in Siriraj and Srinakarin. Exceptional services and I didnt have to pay a lot.

Just out of interest where in Thailand are you?

    Bangkok.

I mentioned that initially it didnt cross my mind to get married. My gf's mother insists on that because she likes me and wants to help. It will be informal in case it takes place.

  7. So if you are not working where do you get your income from?

Have you talked to your GFs family about Sinsod?

Visas will be easier if you do get married, but an extension is gonna be not obtainable for you without

    the correct amount of money...

    1) Part time private tutoring twice a week mostly. I never claimed the opposite.

Actually I had an offer -non teaching job- several months ago but I didnt accept it, better discuss it in a more related topic.

    2) It wasnt my idea to get married. Her mother advised her to do so in order to help me. She still insists.

    3) No entensions. As MJCM wrote, getting a ME Non O Visa based on marriage requires having a border run every 90 days. If I had 400k then I would consider the latter.

  8. The only advice to the OP must be: With part of the remaining funds, buy a one way ticket back home. Easier to get a job for a Farang in his home country than in Thailand.

It worked the other way round for me. And there is absolutely no way to fnd a job back home where I am also homeless.

Better discuss this in some other topic. Thanks for your contribution btw!
