Tax the rich...
The interest is taxed at the bank.
Equal rate.
It is quite unfortunate, that 1000thb if generate 1% a year = 10thb minus tax,
Vs.
100 million at 1% a year = 1 million thb minus tax.
Unless the money made illegally, it is how it is.

Since fatality rate of 12-18 yo group is really the lowest of all pretty much....shouldn't focus the effort rather medical staff and core workers age group of 30-50 if anything?
I know, most will argue old first. Probably old Westerners mostly.
But Thailand being Thailand, most old ppl have no pension, and literally eat if their working adult kids send them money.
Either case, once again a 6 months timeline....by end of year...
Meanwhile at current rate 5000 a day gets infected, that is 150.000 a month, 900.000 by end of year.
And the rate is accelerated only the past weeks, with high chance to continue up.

Must applaud the propaganda optimism here.
Tourist and vaccine numbers continuously overestimated,
Covid cases and economic impact continously underestimated.
A rude awakening looming when the game is over, and time to face the reality.

Expect 6 more changes in the next 3 months, cost, availability, date, timeline, places.
There is talk about Moderna for weeks now....empty talks, as still not available for months, and that is considered the best case!!

Test on 8 ppl....
Potentially random result would be a serious understatement.

A better comparison would be per population...
Then Thailand is near par with Indonesia (270m ppl there), and way worse than the Philippines...
And Malaysia would take the top spot (31m ppl), with about 2x more by % population then top of list Indonesia...
Either way, Thailand isn't in a good spot.

The only problem I see with going that route (root) is if they have a short window in which to register & pay, then if you wait until say late September you may well be told ' sorry no have for you, you too late ' if you wanna take that risk then fine.
Would be true...if not for the previous registrations and apps that ppl were urged to use, only to find that something "new" popped up in 2 weeks.
Moderna prices changed just about 3x in past month, and this July 1st isn't the first time to register for it neither.
So far the only consistent part of the offers remain the NO REFUND.

Are private hospitals out of money??
If prepay about 3-4 months ahead to book vaccine...with supposed No Refund policy is so-so, given they may need to assess how much vaccine to purchase, why to fully prepay for a maybe service fee, doctor fee and insurance fee also way ahead?
Since nothing delivered until October anyway, plus the past 3 months have seen multiple changes to both price and timelines, for now I would rather just wait to get closer to October, and decide when there is more certainty and less time left to mess it up.

A group of few gathering on the beach is bad.
121 locked up over 24 hours in the police station is good.
Somehow this makes sense. But contradictory AF

It isn't Sinovac the government obsessed,
It is the money under the table that comes with it.

Finally some proof that Thai ppl aren't that bad in basic math!!

Good on them.
The J&J also smart, a single shot.
Which makes me wonder what excuse the government and the private hospitals will come up to still fleece the farangs the same as a 2 jab scenario offer.
Not an easy task, but they got the experience in it, an interesting match up.

Here is the comment on your catch, they can transmit but less so. Every country that has mass vaccinations with good vaccines sees improvent. My country is opening up hospital admissions down transmissions down all good signs.
So we can live again when we got a lot of people vaccinated. Think in about 4-5 months. So hang in there a bit longer.True.
Less.
Also true that kids, especially bellow age 15, aren't get vaccinated anywhere!
As for the mass vaccination, if target 30 million where about 50% vaccinated the transmission start to drop off seriously,
The current approx 300k a day, 2 jobs will take no less than about 7 months...
But every country knows the vaccination curve start to flatten out quickly from the early spike up...so give it a year ...Mid-2022.
Would you propose every kid lose s full year?
Bcos seen my son's online education last year, it is worthless...

Kids most certainly can transmit the virus, and since they all would come together at the schools and kindergartens, would then take it out into the city.
Any kid may hug it's mother straight back from the market.
Here is the catch: right now the standing that fully vaccinated ppl can also transmit the virus.
Will some point start to live life again?

Given that most country not vaccinate under age 18, a few give jabs maybe 15-18,
And generally not a place on earth giving jabs under 12...
What is the reason to not open kindergarten and at least elementary schools?
How is this benefit the kids?
As long as the kids not visit the prison, the wet market, a factory migrant workers camp or a hiso nightclub, they are 99.9% unlikely to be in danger of covid-19.

The WHO said it prevented symptomatic disease in 51% of those vaccinated and prevented severe symptoms and hospitalisation in 100% of samples.
Not too bad really, no severe symptoms or hospitalisation in 100% of cases
You are quoting Sinovac, that number.
Sinopharm if I recall correctly has 79% efficiency, ie. considerably better results than Sinovac (51%) or AZ (63%),
But less than Pfeizer (95%), Morderna (94%), or Sputnik (91%).

Phrase it a bit softer:
In Thailand with little social security, the old highly rely on the younger generation financially.
