the fact: if a foreigner expat from the typical most EU/UK/US/Canada/Japan, and plan or need to travel...SinoVac denies that to you!
Thailand i am sure aware of this, yet still trying to push for their expat SinoVac as well.
why?
most expat would even pay for the Pfeizer vaccine, if Thailand cant use up even as little as 7% of the 1.5 million donated for foreigners ( less than 50k total registered x2 shots).
with the speed they going ahead, and the speed they handled Moderna, as well, it is slim chance this year to get vaccinated, even Q1 2022 is questionable right now.
for those who feel SinoVac is their answer: go ahead!
if anything, the ongoing booster shots the government rushing now to the meds should be the scraming warning to you, but whatever.

There should be some anti-racism propaganda leverage here internationally if the US embassy would do it. Of course, I'm sure that the US embassy in Bangkok is almost as good as the US embassy in Kabul in understanding its cultural setting and the ability to use it to win victory on the ground.
I am sure by now they understand that both countries like leaders that keep the majority population in dark ages.
I am sure by now they understand that both countries are prepared to fake things to gain financial aid, readily putting their hate/xenophobia aside when deemed needed, temporarily.
I am not sure how this connect directly to Sinovac donation, and the mysterious 10 million dose difference, if not delivered on paper only.

Did the 10 million Sinovac not administered expired/binned?
Why such big discrepancy between delivered vs administered?
24 million ( - this last 3) vs 11 million?!

In reflection that fully vaccinated sandbox tourists required 3 negative tests before " let loose",
This move make little sense beyond a fake cosmetics touchup to official numbers.

Err, 1 trillion?
Say 2000thb per person for 2 shot vaccine ( basically any would fit, without profit and hospital surcharges)
A 1 trillion baht would mean 500 million fully vaccinated ppl ..
That is Thailand full population a few times over...
Ask the good government and the covid tsar why not buy vaccines when others started, in a timely manner, whatever cost to be near the front of the line, instead of cashback shopping promotions of the high so, or travel deals for another million of the well off...
The root to stop the economy bleeding dry is getting ppl vaccinated, and life back on track to normal.
Maybe the now upcoming lawsuit the government can fend off, but the tide will change. Soon enough.

For a moment I was worried about this billionaire...a very very brief moment.
But I think he should be fine.
Worst case I personally donate him a food package, promise!

If Thailand didn't spend the money on 50:50 or 'we travel together' and a couple other things,
But instead buys vaccines in a timely manner 6-10 months earlier,
Everyone and everything would be better off here now.
( Except the few dozens benefitted heavily from the corruption)

New website, same BS.
We give you choice: your option Sinovac.
No, thx.
Most part of the world won't accept that vaccine when plan to travel. And I plan.
But staying upbeat! Every second week there is a new website! And in around 6 months even the Pfeizer should arrive here.
There is plenty hiso and you know who I know type in Thailand, but not 15 millions ...
Once they ran out those, I am sure world will return to normal, and start to fleece ...I mean sell...to us farang as well, for the usual hefty surcharge.

The 5 million could buy another 200-250k vaccines,
But it is earmarked as some balance to the Chinese bribes...I am sure the US knows very well where most of it will go.

A few posters on TVF also stating a similar state of affairs.
Well, as far as I am concerned Thailand can keep the Sinovac if that what they intend to me.
Better don't even email about that, just save a trip to the hospital.
They got free vaccines+ money donated, yet can't use gracefully 10% of it on foreigners who live here, support a family or just regularly being fleeced at any possible chance.
Disgusting way to handle this, once again!

Since even fully vaccinated can/do get infected and spread covid...sooner or later everyone will get it, lockdown or not, vaccination or not.
Sure, some old ones will likely be lost, some otherwise critically ill will be lost...
I know it isn't popular with the generally older farang crowd,
But if there is a choice to save ( mostly temporarily) 1% or have 99% go on with their life as regular...
Then picking the 99% makes more sense.
Sorry, but that is the brutal truth.

Another general with a watch collector friend?
The job must come with lots of bonuses to fork out 1 yr full salary for a watch or pearls...
But hey, if the military generals can have 100s of millions thb assets, what is a 100 million for a police general really?
Prayuth was estimated 128 million 7 yrs ago...

Not necessarily. Perhaps if you do that there will be a free for all. But great; now you have given the game away, everyone will be travelling. ????
LoL, I was hardly alone on the road.
But true, little mention on this topic here.
Meanwhile,
Gym, pool, beach, jogging off the table...bcos it is dark red zone.

Confusing terminology.
Would not want to visit the wrong shop.

It's really to stop gatherings. There aren't the resources to check and cross check and....
You know how it is here. I don't understand why people who choose to live in Thailand for a relaxed way of life, start demanding that it is run like a police or nanny state.
Stop moaning about everything for goodness sake and take some personal responsibility to keep yourself and others around you safe.
TiT. You want China, try China. ????
You have misunderstood I am afraid.
The demand was the opposite:
Don't pretend a max security dark red status, just say ppl go around and about as usual.
If don't use a colour system, don't try to scare, and open everything else the same in Pattaya as hua him or ko Chang, or whatever else!!

No wonder this wave is so big...
A very low %.
But starts from the top, that no one really enforce a thing.
To begin, what a dark red province is?
There is zero!! checking in or out.
The weekend I had to go upcountry for a family matter, involved crossing 3 of these dark red borders...
Chonburi, chachoengsao, korat...
No checkpoint whatsoever!
( I Had the app filled out, and ready to show if asked).
That applying going out and back.
I am sure I am not an exception.
Ask then, with totally unchecked movement, isn't this whole curfew a joke?
Isn't dark red, just red, almost red, bit of red, pinkish red designation is just a joke?

Will done Thailand!
27th...by number of administered 30 million shot....
This conveniently auto exclude any country with less than 15 million population...
Creative mathematics to support a fake news. Nothing else.
For example Thailand then ranks above Israel, bcos administered more shuts, yet 20% here get 1 shot at least.
Are Thai ppl more protected actually?

Koh Larn was open but I bet no one came......So I guess to save face they decided to close again..... If you remember Koh Larn has repeatedly said to be covid free over and over and over......But now they pop up??
True.
But since fully vaccinated can also get infected, for the time covid-free is nothing but a temporary illusion, be that Ko Larn or any place in the world.

THB down approx 10% this year, combined that with some ppl looking to cash, and a slow current ( actual) property market, it definitely looks a better deal now than 1 yr ago was...
Now only if the buyers could travel and see before buying and sending their money to a Thai bank that now only guarantee 1M THB....
A buyer's dream!

Interesting to see if the Expatvac in the provinces wil provide Pfizer , if anything, although have yet to see confirmation of appointments from anyone yet?
I don't mind to travel to other province or even Bkk.
No thanks for the Sinovac, for me, that was the plan to dump on isaan.
But surprised ( actually being here ling enough not to be) no email, no mention in news, no proposed hospital, no timeline.
The last news read last week a sub 50k foreigners registered, ie less then the 75k ( 150k/ 2 shots) supposed total allocation....
If a week nothing will come up, then I will put this down as another time being conned here.
Now that the big heads pushing for amnesty law, even reporting as fake news would be useless...
