Are you looking for a batch or continuous flow dryer?
Diesel and Gas driers take a bit to set up so you don't dry to quick then suck the moisture back in.
Easiest way if you have a shed or storage pad and time, put down some old pvc pipes with air holes in them connect to a blower fan.
When humidity drops below certain number(forget now) turn on blower.
If you want hotter air, make a black plastic poly tunnel to feed the suction of blower.
My theoretical plan is to devise something that is reasonably mobile and using an auger to lift the rice to an elevated spreader for a cascade or "waterfall" to increase exposure to air drying between mesh screens in a recycling process. I can get augers from old harvesters and construct a bin from sheet metal. If I get to a point where it is mechanically functional a blower and humidity level sensors could be added.
I have a year to play anyway. lol

What? Of course it´s a comment of opinion, because this is a forum that serves such a purpose. The only thing I did was to kindly correct your error to place all medias online under the category social media. To do that I needed to quote your post for relevance, so other readers can be served the right facts.
Anyway, congratulations to your handle. I assume it was a well planned choice that you laid much thought into. ????Ok. It seems I stand corrected and other readers are now relevantly factually informed.
Thanks for contemplating my "handle". It was indeed a deliberate choice as was my " signature "????

I’m no Farmer but in presume no market as the sun is a free resource for drying. Passing the rice factories I’ve seen they dry it in Huge yards in the sun Grain driers are more common in U.K. & Europe
I appreciate your reply. However what you have observed is most likely a safe and inexpensive moisture balancing procedure well into the dry season which is much less prone to the inconvenience of the weather conditions immediately after the harvest urgency at source which is predominantly small scale farmers who must minimally pre-condition rice before it will be accepted by intermediary buyers .
Even then what you have observed may not be a drying process but instead a bulk grading process f the quality of incoming rice . There is rice and there is rice.

lol. It was a tongue in cheek association with some dated fringe opinion. But despite that whenever I see a certain individual representing the interests of a specific mainstream social media platform I involuntarily have had to acknowledge the visual basis of the fringe beliefs.

The much more important question: how evil are the owners of social media?
Very hungry evil Lizards?

You might think it´s interesting. The simple answer is that you have blogs with comment sections, which is one type of online communication. After that you have forums, which usually serves the purpose of beeing informative and helful for people. As a third there is social media platforms, that is more advanced with greater functions as well as a wider variety of information and open personal profiles.
If you draw the line that all is same, then so be it for you.
So where does your post addressed to me fit into your definition of categories ?
Is it a comment of opinion, informative, or in the realm of "more" ?

Summic you can't do here.
But on Messenger you post to specific people rather than an open unless you choose to do so.
TVF content is available to the world in content without "membership".

No, he is not! You are not to include a forum in social media platforms.
Oh! Wow! Interesting ! Perhaps you could present a definitive reason?

You would rather have the open economy of the US, with a quarter of a million deaths and over 4 million active cases?
The problem in Thailand is not the economy, it's a government who won't come to the aid of its citizens when the chips are down. Check out what Australia has done, a conservative government providing welfare on a scale any socialist would be proud of.
And the junta wonders why there are hundreds of thousands of Thai protesters on Bangkok streets. Duh.
To be honest IMO I would not put so much credit on the "pandemic" for the agitation occurring in Thailand.
Certainly it may have assisted in spurring enough additional reactionary response not so directly associated to those who have lost employment but to those whose aspirations indirectly have been cancelled by the economic confusions.
The reality of the "freeze" on overall sub employment economic expansion has had much less effect on the base macro profitability . Those are the industries that form the base economy regardless of secondary but debatably significant secondaries.
SCOMO has demonstrated an uncohesive response second only to Trump in many aspects.
Fortunately for Australians the independent State authorities have contraversaly used the middle digit to defy that despite having to ask/justify permission to depart !
In Thailand the agitation is more about questioning the legitimacy of reason to stay.

About a decade ago I investigated the options for small grain dryer available in Thailand. I could not find a single one!
However listed in China on several platforms there were several small mobile units at a reasonable cost.
My interest was due to the erratic weather presenting as an issue post rice harvest which observation over the prior 4 years indicated a practical need to ensure maximum crop yield value.
At that time I could not find an Import Agent willing to facilitate the purchase . That despite that there is no customs import duty on agricultural machinery..
10 years on I can still not find a source or supplier of a grain drier inside Thailand.!
Nor have I seen any evidence of a community facility for public use to dry annual rice crops. It seems the accepted acommodation is the dangerous practice of allowing the use of public highways!
I am now tempted to build my own small scale drier . The mechanical process is basic enough and the electronic moisture sensoring is available via pirating from very cheap dehumidifiers !
Viva la Farmer! lol

TV is used for platforms like Netflix, Youtube, Play station....and Thaivisa is used exclusively for information about what happens in the country of the smile, which is where I currently reside
I do not understand the basis of your reply. Social media that is interactive allows for( within prescribed parameters..lol) expression of opinion as does TVF which is not limited to information revolving around issues in Thailand. But interactive or not there is the element of mis-dis-information , decieptful persuation, etc that exists across the board of media .
It is now at the point where the exposure of people en-masse to genuine or false information is almost at a point where it is beyond realistic capacity to distinguish.
While some of the major platforms have introduced warnings or labellings of some content in the full knowledge it is misleading but in defense of the holy grail of rights for expression of opinion ( and revenue) .
Rarer events are the elimination of undeniable proven falsehoods.

I hope your being sarcastic. I see beggars everyday on street corners on the Skywalk, homeless sleeping around lumpini park, in closed doorways and such here in Bangkok.

Are you not making such comment on a social media platform? About technical devices that enable social media? Television is a social media but not so interactive.
I guess the question put in the OP is about the overall social impact.
Like most things that gain a popular appeal there is always the "abuse" factor.

You start with the premise that "most/many" expats are generally negative about Thailand in general.
I can agree "some" air generally negative views but I suspect at times they are those who did not fare well in Thailand for whatever reason and are commenting from afar.
I also do not frequent farang expat clique haunts so have never experienced the Thai "life viewed through the bottom of a glass" discussions I have been told take place.

According to the stamps in my passport I have a "NON-IMM" and sometimes written as a "NON-O" and I do have a retirement extension which I renew every year along with a re-entry permit.
So what exactly have I got and what does that entail if I went overseas and wanted to come back?
Thanks in advance.
I would say that equates to a Non Imm O extension based on retirement for which the Thai insurance is not required for renewal . Non Imm OA needs the insurance.
But if you were to exit the re entry would require the US$ 100, 000 covid Insurance coverage anyway.

All I know is that when it's turned off, ie screwed down, it will shut off mains water and also stop mains water replenishing the tank. I need to be sure that it's faulty before I start cutting pvc pipes and installing a new valve, no easy job with the present set up.
If the original system and NRV (s) are under the concrete leave it where is then maybe lay out a new above ground replacement following the diagram Crossy posted above ? In anticipation of any possible future issues insert couplings either side of any NRV for cleaning or replacement. I have used PVC body NRV's which also conveniently function as couplings. Material costs are minimal .

Not altogether true. As within any nationality and culture the people in are equally as diverse in nature.

What would you do?
Been here for over 15 years, I have a 19 year old boy that needs a bit of support, he has a job and in general takes care of himself, needs a motorbike for work, I keep him fed as Thai wages are not fantastic, don't ask for board and lodging, after all he is my responsibility.
However, and here comes the reason for the post - My Thai wife for whatever reason (has a <deleted> son from previous sex) who is now 40 or older, he is married / living with a Thai lady of similar age, 40+
Recently, they seem to think it is a good idea to come to our home every night at 8 or 9 pm and have dinner.
The food is the usual Northern Thai slop, the slight amount of meat is bought by them, however, all of the gas, electric, spices, oils etc. is at my expense....What would be the best way to tell them to pay up or <deleted> Off?
I am getting old, long in the tooth, limited income, I support my Son, Wife and myself, but there is no way I am feeding two other 40 year old spoiled brats that cannot feed themselves. best way forward, least confrontation, I don't really want to shoot them.....but you never know!
Importantly in your desire to curtail what you find is a problem is to establish what your Thai wife's thoughts are. With you or against or indifferent (maybe) ?
Ultimately the gas, the spices, oil etc could often be depleted awaiting replenishment (tomorrow or tomorrow or tomorrow). The difficulty is that they bring a component of a meal which to them may seem justification. Good luck !

If it is a feather filled item avoid washing it in a conventional agitator machine.
Best is to soak it in washing machine tub or large bowl or even a bath in water that has a minimal content of something suitable for baby fabric diapers or sheeps wool detergent . Hand manipulate it to clean the fabric then drain it a long time rather than spin dry before air drying. Some machines have a very slow spin setting which is ok.
The critical thing is not to destroy the natural oil content of the feather content which is what keeps it expanded and separated.
If it is an expensive genuine down item I would hesitate to offer it to any laundry service.
