  1. "she suggested that Jarae’s loud speaking might have been misinterpreted as anger directed towards them." Geez, thank goodness I am soft spoken. LOL
  2. "Decrepit", just like some of the old fogeys in the current ruling party. Hull cracking and sinking is inevitable.
  3. If it wasn't an election year, he wouldn't join in.
  4. I guess the dog needs more practice. Mine caught on quick.
  5. It totally behooves me as to how people all around the world keep getting caught in these scams. 5,269 cases, 312.5 million baht. That's a huge number of suckers.
  6. What an idiot. He ruined many lives with his greed, plus his own elder years. Karma?
  7. Any move away from China is good news in my eyes.
  8. Looking at Nate, confirms my life-long policy of never forcing a smile. I'd rather look glum than to force a smile and look like a monkey (sorry monkeys).
  9. I know some Thai minivans are larger and configured differently but I was basing it on standard North American vans, two buckets at front and two 3X rear seats = 8. I can feel my brakes diminish with just a 500 pound load in the back. Steering can be affected too.
  10. 19 persons in what I assume was an 8 passenger minivan. Unquestionably, the braking capability was grossly diminished.
  11. Is this Thai-style "double parking" ?
  12. I would think determining BEST beaches would be a subjective process. Any other method would be like separating grains of sand. What seems best to Tom may not be best to Dick or Harry.
  13. That's a bit rich coming from him.
  14. The video of the incident didn't make it to my feed.
  15. It seems like lots of bad stuff comes out of Wuhan.
  16. Pattaya ..... The Family-friendly Resort.
  17. Only a few posts in and I think you have nailed it already.
  18. Like a former leader in another country liked to say, "we'll see, we'll see how it goes".
  19. Nice bit of badly needed, free advertising. I hope those who have TIME aren't disappointed.
  20. They also abandon their natural hunting ability if human fed. They then return to the human source of "low hanging fruit"
  21. It's early in this article but I expect soon to see comments referencing Darwin awards (Darwin, name of the 1-year old).
  22. Every journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step. They've got many steps to go before returning to the Chinese-portion of the 40 million annual visitors.
  23. I've never heard of a gratuitous tip being misconstrued as illegal. I left a tip for her time and company, NOT my room number.
  24. I had a used MGB back in the sixties (Canada). The electrical system sure didn't like the rain! But that old MGB gave me the sports car bug. Next came a brand new Datsun (now Nissan) 280Z in 1976. Now there was a sports car, rain or shine (or snow).
