    I see in the video that the car that diligently swerved to miss the huge falling object stopped shortly after. Perhaps they wanted to inspect their car for damage. Personally, I'd be inclined to get the heck away from under the elevated highway.

    I'd be guessing that he is referring to the Chinese buying condos in Vancouver, driving the price up but leaving them empty. Then the condo unit falls into disrepair. But we'll see what he has to say.

    Either "within their power" and I would suspect outside of their power as well.

    During summers in Canada, my dog swims at the beach just about daily. A huge number of the park goers are Muslim, others (religion unknown) from the Middle East, South Asia etc. . The odd one shoots me a dirty look. But many ask if they, or their children, can pet my dog. "Yes, of course". Some even have their own dog. Seen here sporting one of my favourite caps.

    Just yesterday I read an article about a Chinese Trade Fair. Exhibitors were commenting about orders being down as a result of world economic problems. They spoke of cancelled plans to expand and improve, reduced hours for staff. That said, yes, less Chinese will be travelling.

    Looking at Nate, confirms my life-long policy of never forcing a smile. I'd rather look glum than to force a smile and look like a monkey (sorry monkeys).

    I know some Thai minivans are larger and configured differently but I was basing it on standard North American vans, two buckets at front and two 3X rear seats = 8. I can feel my brakes diminish with just a 500 pound load in the back. Steering can be affected too.

    19 persons in what I assume was an 8 passenger minivan. Unquestionably, the braking capability was grossly diminished.
