Central Thai is a worthless language only spoken by 40% of the Thai population as a 1st language.
I've heard from Thais in Bangkok province talk about Thai spoken in the Chiang Rai area as almost indecipherable. And it gets worse when they speak any English.

the videographer had to zoom, and zoom, and zoom to get a clear shot of the couple.
How is this different than such a couple in a condo room of a 10 story building being observed through a window by a camera drone outside?
The couple were not within "public eye" contact.*
However, the video taper who posted the couple in social media did place without permission the couple's personal activities using electronic data into the public eye.
So if RTP is going to charge anyone, I suggest the video taper for violating at least the Personal Data Act.
* if the couple were directly personally observed 14 miles or greater off the coast, public eye contact wouldn't apply as that would be beyond Thailand’s territorial (aka sovereign) reach and thus beyond reach of Thailand's laws.

Returning these officers to the Mynamar military junta will only extend the civil war, reinforcing the dictator junta and its war crimes.
These officers chose not to surrender to the KNLA as did the 600+ surrender of the 356th and 357th government battalions including family members who will be treated in accordance with international laws governing POW's. Compare that treatment with the Mynamar indiscriminate bombing of civilian areas. karen news.org
Thailand should hold these escaped officers in Thailand (families to return) for illegal entry and further pressure the junta to negotiate peace with KNLA.
Thailand is not a signatory of any international treaties related to refugees and does not have to accept the fleeing officers as legitimate refugees. Place them in Thai controlled camps as Thailand has done with Karen's.

In the past:
- "HUA HIN INFRASTRUCTURE REFORM", By Nick, December 27, 2013 huahintoday.co “Hua Hin needs remodeling and reorganisation as it is growing without practical direction. It has water shortage, wastewater and traffic jams. The new City Plan will address these issues so that Hua Hin will remain charming and attractive to visitors worldwide,”
- "AS TAPS GO DRY, HUA HIN QUESTIONS IMMENSE ARTIFICIAL LAGOON", By Sasiwan Mokkhasen, Staff Reporter, March 1, 2016 khaosodenglish.com
- "Fixing Water Problems," By Nick, June 2019 Huahintoday.com "Upon the completion of this project, residents should be relieved of water shortage problems and occasional floods caused by blockade in the drainage."
Today there is a plan (paraphrasing):
- On April 1, 2024, a memorandum of understanding aimed at increasing the volume of raw water available for tap water. Hua Hin Municipality and the Irrigation Office No. 14 promises to solve the recent issues regarding a lack of water being supplied to different parts of Hua Hin. Huahintoday.com
A plan is not a strategy. It's an excuse for an unfullfilled goal.

Not yet adjudicated quilty, why resign?
But Jatuporn seems to indicate that criminality better sets with a politician than with law enforcement.

Thai men are incredibly jealous of foreigners at the best of times, so when a well heeled, younger farang comes along and cleans up at the club then of course they are going to resent that.
I should know, I have been that guy on many occasions.

I thought the electric vehicles (EV) market was declining around the world!
No.
Many sources.

At least by the time we get these new subs they'll be over 30 year old designs and pretty useless anyhow.
Australia's sub orders are not off-the-shelf. US current Virginia nuclear missile attack subs in service now are the state of art. Australia's five sub order in part subsidized by the US will be built to the next tech level for delivery in 2030's. Then US, UK and Australia will be the only nations operating the Virginia class subs.
Sorry Thailand.

It seems that the way the RTN operates its ships, that frigate might become a submarine.

wasn't there a scandal about buses from China? Did that ever get resolved and at what cost to thailand?
Yes it was resolved.
As I recall the buses went from China unexpectantly through Malaysia for some fittings before entering Thailand. But Thailand customs upon arrival in Thailand, impounded them because of "non-origin additions," and required a large customs duty tax to be paid by the Chinese supplier for the buses. As a consequence of the delay, Chinese exporter was not paid for the shipment.
Long story short (months?), it was concluded that the tax was required from the Thai importer and not by the Chinese exporter. Upon payment, buses were paid for and released for service in Thailand.

“Today, we are definitely not stuck with antiquated issues, because the world has changed and the Pheu Thai party must change,” said Thaksin, adding that capitalism that lacks compassion will not make people happy and reaching out to the people, physically or through the media, is important.
Which is why PTP joined the MFP progressive coalition to oppose antiquated conservative pro-military political supporters. NOT!

Maybe only if the Srettha government has in fact implemented The Prevention and Suppression of Torture and Enforced Disappearance Act, 2022 that PM Prayut attempted to delay in 2023? Without it, who'll come forward to substantiate military corruption?

For a nation that wants to be the Hub of EV manufacturing in SE Asia, many more locations need charging stations than the EEC.
"Number of EV charging locations in Thailand 2023, by provider" Published by Statista Research Department, Dec 19, 2023.
- As of September 2023, there were 2,222 charging locations in Thailand, with a total of 8,702 charging units. The leading provider was EV Station Pluz with 555 locations, followed by Energy Absolute with 538 locations and PEA Volta on the third spot providing 217 locations to recharge electric vehicles.
Why so much focus on the EEC? Maybe because it was a project created by the Prayut military junta under its absolute powers and it might still have "sticky fingers" in the project?
