A key player in Pattaya’s real estate market has announced it has initiated a voluntary rehabilitation procedure under Thailand’s Bankruptcy Act.
this sounds like the unavoidable bitter end the Waterfront Condominium project eventually had to face!

it's not only the developers. The city is about to bankrupt all together

Spread the word.

Pattaya: "Extreme Sports" facility to be built under Bali Hai flyover
Mayor flying high again!
He's got too much free time in his hands I think.
Neo Pattaya,
Pattaya to become "quarantine travel bubble"
Pattaya to become next Miami, next Singapore, next Dubai
What's next?

The mayor of Pattaya has said he will put forward a proposal for the city to become a quarantine zone or so-called travel bubble in order to help boost tourism in the city.
He can yell, scream, plead, beg, cry, sob and it ain't gonna do no good.
It's a situation of "is it the chicken or the egg first"
Right now, none of the above, unless most of the world is vaccinated, cases are way down, people have some extra cash in their pockets and a vaccine passport
Otherwise forget 'bout it!

Your quote was about Walking Street, not Pattaya City.
Walking Street had steadily been losing customers, but gaining in spectators, over the last few years.
you're right Leaver, but you got my point

Most of the bars were not just open but doing a thriving trade as a "great many" patrons swilled their drinks glad that they could enjoy an evening out again after the doom and gloom of the Red Zone lockdown last month.

The definition of madness is doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different outcome. In this case supplying sand to a disappearing beach is a license to print money four times a year.

I really can't wrap my head around the concept of why it wouldn't be so easy to create drainage from beach road straight into the gulf. It's like 30 meters away!
the problem with that is: it makes too much sense

I really don't get it!
Why do some people travel half way around the world 10-15 hrs on plane having their face covered all the time throughout the long flight and go through a 14 day in-hotel quarantine-hell and end up in a city where there is nobody in streets, no fun, night curfew, having to wear a mask most of the time in scorching heat and humidity, dirty air , dirty beach and floods...And you can't see anyone's face because they are all covered with mask most of the time too.
and after spending thousand of dollars on this nonsense trip on absolutely nothing, they probably have to go through the same additional 14 day quarantine when they arrive their home country!
WHY???
