Many of those returning may be disappointed at what they see when they get here. Others may wait to come back until Pattaya is around 70% of what it was before covid.
in a few years, humanity may be surrounded with virus mutations in every corner of the world and most of the populations financially so deprived that the last thing anyone in London or in Los Angeles would think about traveling half way around the world for sex.
And that is IF most airlines have not already bankrupted by then and the sex cities still exist several years without tourism.

Sex is Thailand’s number 1 tourist attraction and the one thing that humans just can’t replace .
true but humans also get bored of the old ways and every new decade starts with major changes. sometimes these changes are too hard to follow or adopt for the older generations

I expect a lot of increased prices for tourists when Covid is over. They need to cover then losses from Covid times. And I am not only thinking about hotels. Perhaps even Noi from Soi 6?
if there is a Soi 6 left by then, that is...
Soi6 depends on Pattaya tourism and Pattaya tourism depends on the world tourism, and the world tourism depends on the eradication of this virus.
The last I checked, almost 10 countries are dealing with their own "national" strain of new and aggressive 2020 and 2021 mutations. So the producers of the vaccine slammed on the brakes, as they're unsure if the vaccine developed and produced before these mutations will be effective!

Unfortunately you will NEVER know the truth in some countries run by autocrats. The numbers are in their control.Only they know the truth but the group never releases the numbers. Just like a couple who always argue and fight at home but agree to never show a hint of that to the outside world, until <deleted> hits the fan

Top hotels serve breakfast out front - response from public has surprised them
this doesn't surprise me at all..what surprises me is, though not too many, but there still are some very stubborn people in the world who doesn't mind traveling during the most restrictive, most unpleasant, most miserable and quite dangerous conditions...

wishful thinking but the reality isn't so. Covid is THE reality at the moment and it's here and everywhere making people sick, killing people, threatening jobs, killing businesses, loved ones, relationships and destroying world economy. It will take years for the vaccine to prove itself to be safe&effective but that's not even guaranteed. Hell, we don't even have vaccines for the common cold or AIDS yet. And even if "those days" concept makes a come-back 10 years later, it will return very different than how we know it. it doesn't give me pleasure to write this but better accept the truth, so we can all deal with the reality better and more cautiously.

why is it hard to admit the days for the gogo bars were almost over even pre-covid. Video killed the radio, tv killed the drive-ins, smartphones killed the landline phones and covid hammered the last nail in the gogo bar coffin.
By next year, we will be considered lucky to be alive. traveling the way we knew it may be a thing of the past for at least 3 years, if not longer. So these gogo bars won't last another 3 months without tourists, let alone 3 years.

Best places to look for rental condo
probably the entire Pattaya is available for rent at the moment, though no takers.

$600 lol... that will pay for maybe some of your rent. Who needs food and electricity !?
again, Trump is correct.
In Los Angeles, average rent is $1750 so the chicken s#it $600 stimulus would barely cover 30% of the average rent

I can't speak for other posters, but that does sound complimentary. Me, now, if necessary I do take time to dumb things down for our reading impaired and AD sufferers (so many wrinklies, as a Brit would say, posting here) and spoonfeed them a simple little list, as I kindly did for you earlier here. Something of an effort, terribly unappreciated of course, but anything to help the less fortunate see the light of reason, man. I love this forum! ????
all good..thumbs up

Meanwhile your posts contain nothing new that's very relevant or that everyone doesn't know already. So, it's just going 'round and 'again, wasting time.
a familiar reaction.a kinda flashback...Your crazy style, these multiple quotes, highlightings of words, italics, bolds, movie references, relentless quoting, references to posts back in 2000s..all this reminds me of a poster named either Jsixpack or JPsixpack. maybe it's you, who knows!

Have a feeling that this pollution is year round, but only visible during the cool season, something to do with the cold weather rather than increasing pollution patterns
that's right..it's a fact that pollution is increasing every year with increasing number of cars, population or whatever the source is that causes smog. But number one culprit for a hazardous smog day in a city is the high pressure and cold weather which locks the air and its pollutants in at a certain altitude and won't let it dissipate

In mega cities like bangkok, there is air pollution every day of the week.It doesn't fluctuate, it's constant. What fluctuates however is air pressure and weather conditions. In a day of high-pressure system, the pollutants can't rise above and dissipate because of air pressure and unhealthy air by midday turns into hazardous air by the afternoon. This isn't the case on a warm and breezy day
