Why go to KSR when there are planty of Go Go bars on Suhkumvit.
-
If you want a stronger beer, go for Red Horse from the Philippines. It is not as strong as the one in the Philippines, but still stronger than the new Chang. And as a bonus, it is cheaper - 47 baht. I can find Red Horse at Family Mart and Tesco Lotus and at 7/11's in Phuket.

And not only did they lower the alc/vol, they also raised the price.

I tried the new 5.8 Chang last night, and to me it tasted a little better than the old Chang.
Still, it is no Beerlao..... damn, i wish it were cheaper here and found in 7/11.....

KSR has a lot of scams... and those damn fortune tellers piss me off...
oh... you lucky man, very lucky.....

What is up with this? I just bought a bottle of Chang and it is now 5.8% alcohol as opposed to the 6% last week or whatever. It used to be 6.4% and only around 35 baht a bottle a few years ago. What is this brewery doing?
Beer is starting to get quite expensive in Thailand.

So you don't need to prove onward travel when getting an extension?
-
I first flew to Thailand in Sept. 2014 from USA, where I got the visa exempt stamp for 30 days, then went to Cambodia for a few weeks and then returned to Thailand and got a new visa exempt stamp for 30 days. I followed that by going to Laos for a few weeks and then returned again to Thailand on the visa exempt. Next I went to Vietnam for about 2 months and got a tourist visa for 60 days single entry. My current visa is expiring on May 1st, and I MAY have to extend it. If I extend it, what documents do I need? And how long does it take to get?
Finally, after I get the extension and leave the country after 30 days, or even if i don't get the extension and still leave the country (May 1st).... will I have any trouble getting the double entry visa in Laos? I have never got a visa there, only in Vietnam. I just worry beause I have entered Thailand 4 times since Sept. 2014.
All help and replies are appreciated.
Thanks!

By the way, is Aeon or Thanachart Bank better to withdraw from (transaction fees aside)?
-
Well, I must bite the bullet and use my debit card to withdraw some cash.
I have done it a few times, but cannot remember paying less than 120b for transaction fee.
I am looking to find a bank with the cheapest fee or free if possible.
I heard the black and orange bank is cheap (cannot remember name)
I tried some banks on suhkumvit and some were charging 180.
Just want the cheapest option.

Has anyone tried it? I'm looking for an alternative to beer and Sangsom and it's only 70baht for a 330ml bottle...
Just wondering what others tihnk of it.

This has all been very helpful. Thanks for all the replies.
I wish I had known about the double entry visa. I thought 60 days was all you could get. I got my tourist visa in Vietnam and I asked about double entry, but they said they only have single. I assume maybe it's just Laos that offers it, or maybe Cambodia/Malaysia?

Thanks everyone for the replies.
Another question: How many tourist visa with extensions can I get in a row? Like I said, I visited 3 times for 30 days in 2014 and then got my tourist visa and arrived here in early March.... if i extend another 30 days and then go to Laos for another visa, will I be able to get another tourist visa or be denied?
I am just trying to figure out the best way to stay in Thailand for the girlfriend i met while traveling. I want to work here eventunally and maybe get married, but in the meantime, i want to stay here with my girlfriend.
By the way, is there a tourist visa option in Laos for longer than 60 days? I met some lads in Laos getting visas for 6 months and 1 year.... as a tourist. Didn't know it was possible, but they claimed otherwise.

You will have to go out of the country to get the ED visa. From CM the best place to get the ED visa is Vientiane Laos.
Prices for schools have gone up because the Ministry of Education has doubled the number of hours needed to get the paper work for visas and extensions of stay.
I am currently on a tourist visa with three previous stamps of 30 days in 2014... will i encounter problems if i apply for ED visa?

Hello,
I am looking for a Thai language school in Chiang Mai that offers the ED visa. I am looking to study for 1 year. I found some places, but none were cheaper than 25,000 Baht and they told me I cannot apply for ED visa in Thailand, that I would need to leave the country and apply at a Thai embassy.
Basically, want to know some good schools in Chiang Mai (for good price) offering the ED visa and where I do not hav to leave country to get the visa.
