Oh, it will be very easy for Boris to get deals. Take the US for example, Trump says says "here's your deal", Boris says "Thanks, here's the NHS and while you're at it you can have our food safety regulations for free".
Getting a good deal for the UK? Well of course that would be better served by working together with EU negotiators, who have recently demonstrated once again that they have a negotiating team par excellence!

If people are worried about their pensions converting badly to baht just wait until the molotov cocktails start flying. There has been ample chance to deliver Brexit. Due process, peace and democracy have failed the people, what comes next...?
What utter nonsense. Democracy was removed when electoral fraud took place. Democracy was removed when £6m appeared out of nowhere for the Leave.EU campaign, Democracy was removed with the £350m a week lie. Democracy was removed when Johnson attempted to muzzle parliament. Democracy was removed when Johnson became PM with no mandate from "the people". Democracy was removed when people claim that an advisory referendum was binding. Democracy was restored by the elected parliament took back control from the unelected PM.

Not sure if anyone's mentioned this one, I've just downloaded season 1 (8 episodes) which came out last week.
From IMDb: "A human detective and a fairy rekindle a dangerous affair in a Victorian fantasy world, where the city's uneasy peace collapses when a string of murders reveals an unimaginable monster."
Another review site describes it as "Sherlock Holmes meets Tinker Bell in gritty, sexy fantasy"

Example: Price 199 two items taped together, go the shelf and the single item is 99 baht so you are not getting anything free, in fact you are actually paying more than you would by buying two off the shelf @ 198.
They do it a lot with toiletries.
Challenged them and they just said "want or not" ?
Off on a slight tangent, what bugs me is that the offers on shower gel in particular make the pump-action bottles cheaper than the refills.

Strange, Mrs BM accompanies me traveling abroad we just book seats and go. A couple of years ago they scrapped the departure/arrivals forms for their own nationals.

Aren't Canadian licences issued in English?
Why can't you use it to get a bike licence issued at the same time as your Thai car licence when you take the foreign licence holder's test here, as many people do?
His Canadian licence is for cars, not bikes. He has a Mexican bike licence. In any event he has decided to get his act together now so all's well that ends well, after all Thailand is renowned for its happy endings.

Yet again you claim that many Eastern Europeans live 6/7/8/10 to a house and claim benefits for children back home and don't pay tax.
I am not going to say it doesn't happen, but all the figures show EU migrants pay more in tax than they take out in benefits.
One example from a multitude: NHS boosted by EU migrants who pay more tax than Brits, report finds .
As for large numbers sleeping in accommodation; if you knew anything about the construction industry you would know this is common amongst construction workers of all nationalities on large infrastructure projects where rather than commuting from home, which may be many miles away, every day they live in temporary accommodation, often caravans or portacabins, provided by their employer. I can see such from my window as I type.
There is no EU law that requires the UK government to pay benefits to children living outside of the UK.

Why should she be exempt from, what I admit is an exorbitant amount, just because she comes from a foreign country called the E.u. Many Brits have brought their Thai wives to the U.K from another foreign country called Thailand, and they had to pay,
Have you even read the article? How many Brits took their two-year old Thai wives to the UK?
Yours is a nonsensical comparison, the one that I made re the Brits living in other EU countries is far more pertinent.

Look. From a purely technical perspective, maybe I'm in an illegal situation by not having the translation booklet. But the way the police is collecting cash is 100% illegal. Need to call the military to crack down on corrupt police practices?
You'll probably find that when you have the correct documents you'll not get fined, officially or unofficially. I have been stopped at countless checkpoints and have never been asked for money, whether in my car or on my bike.
I have been asked to pay 400 Baht once, having been stopped for speeding. I had to drive up the road to the police station to pay the fine - for which a receipt was promptly issued. I'm not denying that others have been required to pay corrupt cops, but it seems to usualy be when they're doing something wrong anyway.

Fact is, my friend is driving her car instead of motorbike (with valid license) for the simple reason that she'd get stopped every week while driving motorbike. Not a single time by car.
Her license (assuming it isn't a Thai license) is not valid in Thailand unless it is accompanied by an IDP and then only for a maximum of 90 days.

For others, I think the best advice for short stay is to rent car instead (then no need to worry about international driving license), and for long-term, pay $500 to get a 5-year Visa in Cambodia instead.
On a side note, I went on a 12-day roadtrip across Lampang, Phrae, Uttaradit, Sukothai and Lampang provinces and had no issue. Crossed some roadblocks in Lampang main highway but they were not into collecting tax from foreigners and he let me go. It's only touristy areas that are an issue.
I guess this is not worse than China who started enforcing "arbitrary laws" and even issuing exit bans. I was practicing Tai Chi in the mountains but knew it was time to get out.
collecting tax from foreignerscollecting fines from law-breakers.
There, I fixed it for you.
Why do you think there's no requirement for an International Driving Permit for tourists who drive rental cars?

You don't have to be, or become, a British citizen to apply for indefinite leave to remain as the spouse of a British citizen. Get your facts right!
Not once in either of my posts have I said that they need to acquire British citizenship, I don't even mention the word "citizenship" in either post and you have the gall to accuse me in a previous post of having reading and comprehension problems.
"You ridiculously claimed that obtaining citizenship as a spouse of a British citizen is easy."
Please reference which post I said this in.
True you didn't specify citizenship but then again you didn't specify ILR either. In any event my point remains valid. Your claim that it is easy for her to remain as a spouse of a UK citizen is still ridiculous. The process is not easy, I have been through it for my wife and when the people dealing with it made an obvious error they would not even reply to any communication pointing that out and asking that it be put right. They had a backlog of a couple of years of complaints to deal with first.
To secure ILR she would need to show proof of residence to the same people that have already wrongly rejected her previous application. We know that the decision is wrong from what "her" MP has said and he would most probably have seen the evidence before reaching his conclusion.
The cost of ILR is around £2,400. How can that be justified when she ought to be entitled to stay in the UK as a long term resident EU national? Should the UK expats in Spain and elsewhere in the EU have to pay similar sums?

You all actually like and eat genuine jalapenos??? I grow them in large amounts but only to torture the braggers who claim they can eat "pet" up here in Isaan.
I get a sort of vindictive pleasure because even one small innocuous chillie shuts down my sense of smell and taste for hours! I can eat a lot of prik thai (black) no problem.
Jalapenos? When we were back in England I introduced Mrs BM to Scotch Bonnets.

Neither of them has applied to stay as the spouse of a British citizen (which they are both entitled to do), they are both applying for settled status as EU citizens.
That's the point of the article. They have applied to stay as EU citizens and have wrongly been denied. They should not be forced to apply for British citizenship. You ridiculously claimed that obtaining citizenship as a spouse of a British citizen is easy. It is not easy and it is very expensive.
