"Whale Marina Condo Pattaya - new lowrise development in Na-Jomtien, very quite and cozy place, just 50 meters from the beach. The project comprises of two 8-storey buildings with a total of 305 units. Condominium will have an own pier with a boat parking,"
Whale Marina Condominium Pattaya is a new project by headed by Mr Suriya Kijsamrej. Pattaya’s mayor is a close friend of the owner and perhaps even a partner in the company, however the mayors involvement in this project is uncertain.
1. Quiet and cozy?
I don't think so with more than 100 Thais operating fishing boats just meters away.
2. The Mayor MIGHT be a partner here?
3. I looked at this project and they overbuilt for the land area but put some garden on the roof to compensate. This passed the design review?
4. At low tide this inlet is a mucky, stinky, ugly mess.

Decent looking factory exhaust on this bike.

My advise to everyone. Build your own house and live with your wife and children happy inside.
Not that simple when you have an inheritance coming
In this case, the sister already took the inheritance when she financed a new car and used the house as collateral. The bank owns this house.

At least the general is doing something positive for the country .
My lord. Some people are really in the dark.
I guess I can't blame them since the local press is crooked/controled/censored and the legitimate stuff is blocked/banned.

I was enjoying the delicious Pizza on the patio in front of Holiday Inn (Havana?) and saw one of their Calzone being served at another table.
It was a beauty. Plump and golden brown. Gave me that involuntary WOW feeling when I saw it. I must go try it sometime.

Lack of service centers as well as import prices really made Triumph a no-go but seems like they're improving on those two critical points. Will definitely stop by even though I have no plans of getting a Triumph right now, leaning more to the MT-09 Tracer but when I went to Yamaha near the monument, they were adamant that this bike does not exist even after I mentioned it was shown in BKK already. When I showed them the bike on the Yamaha website, they said they don't get it in Thailand. So bit hesitant on getting one even if they'd accept an order
Triumph also had some funny story going on in the past with their distributor, wonder how their service will be. Let us know if you go for one
But it's pretty cool that we got now most major motorbike brands with dedicated bike showrooms in Phuket. Honda, Kawa, Ducati, Triumph, Yamaha, BMW...
Keep clear from Yamaha in Phuket... They might be good if you have a Fino but for Big bike.... They are useless and every single time i have to deal with them it ends up being a waste of time, energy and money!
Yamaha should do like BMW did: kick them out, find new dealer with more professionalism!
Just like any business in Thailand. Employees are the problem. Unreliable, lazy & the poor work ethic drives the businesses into the dirt.
There have been several threads started over the years "Looking for a good mechanic."
The shortest threads on Thai Visa.

In regard to all the development going on in Jomtien, I wonder why all the developers, real estate agencies, agents, and all the real estate media don't band together into a lobby group that would go to City Hall and address issues like this. Obviously, a huge amount of money is being spent on these new projects and you would think the real estate business sector would want to protect their interests and work for city improvements. Individuals, especially foreign, don't really have any clout but I think a powerful group speaking with one united voice could be heard. And, not just with this issue but many others as well.
Agreed.
I've seen posts on forums warning customers to stay away from large developments because of a nuisance like a Karaoke Bar.
For example, someone was inquiring about the Avenue condo recently and there were many posts warning the buyer to stay away because of the noise.
The problem is the police benefit from complaints and take payments from the noisemakers.
Thais don't complain because the retaliation can be off the charts.
I had a landlord lose many tenants because of a police owned karaoke bar. He lost half his income but would not complain because he fears the police.

These new condo projects with the elaborate landscaping, giant pools and other expensive features?
How do they plan to pay for the maintenance I'm wondering when sales are so slow?
I predict these places will be a big mess.

This thread is all over the place. We even have a guy prompting free cold gravy?

What scares me is that the US is cutting back drastically on military spending at a time like this. They will barely have enough to fight 1 war at a time and this guy has cannon fodder in the millions.
One would hope so, but as with Saddam Hussein terror is being used as a deliberate tactic precisely to avoid any uprising. Not a comforting thought to have a paranoid madman in control of a nuclear arsenal.I think its safe to say that the Beloved Leader is soon coming to some harm.
The self-preservation instincts in his elite surrounding colleagues must be getting a kick start.
Ridiculous.
The USA has a military budget over $500 billion.
The Russians $60 billion
China $125 billion.
The USA could cut the budget in half and still have overwhelming power.

La Merenda Italian on 2nd Rd in Jomtien. Italian food cooked by an Italian. Homemade bread too.

what is there besides dine in or take out?Without giving comment on the quality of Pastrami and Rye's American style pizzas, I know a lot of people have been commenting on their rather high price.
Well ... relief has arrived.
Half off during limited hours EVERY DAY.
Impressive.

I was wondering if the former DSI chief, General Pongpat was getting kickbacks from this operation too.
The money from organised crime trickles all the way to the top in Thailand, no?
-
A guy wants to live with his simpleton in-laws that live like slobs? Fix that place up and it will piss you off even more when they begin to trash it.
Somebody is not thinking straight.

Makro, price wise, you can't beat their meat.
-
The ribeye I had was very good, I have had some ok beef from Makro but nothing special and Makro is not in Jomtien.
Please tell me if Makro isn't in Jomtien then where is it assuming Pattaya ends and Jomtien starts at the Theprassit lights on the Suk?
The shortest trek to Makro is 6 kilometres from the Center (police box) of JomtienBeach.
7 kilometres if you take Theprasit to Sukhumvit and do the UTurn.
The Hickory Pit sounds good. Right on the baht bus route between Pattaya and Jomtien Beach.
This stretch of Thappraya road is gourmet ally now. There has been a renaissance the last 3 years since the road was finally paved.
LaBaquette all the way down to LaBocca lined with very good restaurants.

Wow a 1000 people just disappeared like that or just moved on to the next camp.
A convoy of 20 busses/trucks crammed with refugees goes unnoticed?
-
How many staff does it take to run a camp for 1,000 people. How much security, traffic, food, supplies, water and waste are generated every week?
There are lots of people living in that area that are in on it.
Those in power won't let this kind of money making operation go on without a piece.
The highest ranking politicians, police, army, mafia, and para military people are all involved, guaranteed.
-
They transfer these guys to keep them quiet. They are in the mafia and can finger the higher ranking officers if threatened with jail.
I will bet there are some assignations and accidents in that area about now.

He has plenty of enemies in the Army. Wouldn't surprise me if another General runs a coup, arrests this guy, run him thru the courts and confiscate his fortune.THE P.M. Should be more strong and effectieve. When policeman or soldiers no matter there ranking be cought in a criminal aktivity, a big or a little one, take EVEREYTHING the have, property, land, mony, cars and so on and so on.
I think that more than half the army people and half the police people should be in Yale! The P.M. Have to do something on the corruption, if he don't Thailand is lost!
"I think that more than half the army people and half the police people should be in Yale!"
Not sure they have what it takes to get into Yale--Harvard maybe--but not Yale. Then again, it would be nice to have such a well-educated police force.
Seriously, though... Caesar Prayuth might be able to go after the rotten apples among the police, but he must tread carefully when dealing with the army. They're his only real 'friends', and if he alienates the wrong people there, he could find himself out of a job (to put it nicely).

Do they still have an Audit to pass along with other Thai registered airlines. Seems strange if are cutting 10-20 % costs from each department as mentioned in the article
Auditors discovered the missing $5 million but were told to ignore it.
Some very Thai Hi-So are raping Thai Airlines and the other 56 State run companies.
Funny, the General is obsessed with protecting this family.
-
Since the Army is in charge of Thailand and the press, the police and other political enemies will take the heat on this one.
