I didnt think you could get the pension outside australia.
Sounds disgraceful. So if you have worked in Australia and paid taxes all your life you can not choose to retire abroad. Even the scamming politicians in the UK aren't that bad.

This always happens to me at Big C South. Whenever i pay by a 1,000 note the change is short 1 or 200 baht. Have to check every time.

Anyone who depends on an income in Sterling better pray Labour don't win. The Pound will tank and it will cost us thousands.

I would imagine going to Pattaya for beer bars and go go,s would be worse during Songkran from what Iv herd most of they girls are back home or out partying with there actual Thai boyfriends
Yes many farangs (like me) just wait until Songran is over before going out. I fancy a drink today but i'm not fighting my way around town just for a beer.

I was sceptical about doing it but had it done in my shower room using Hicem excel power swimming pool cement. Seemed to work fine and made the job a lot quicker and easier.

I have bought at least 20 items from Lazada and been happy with every purchase. Their prices are very good, especially so with the discounts. If you are not happy with any particular price, don't buy it, it's not a con, the choice is yours.

Songkran must be a disaster for bars/restaurants. Many people (like me) who would normally go out to eat/drink have to hibernate for a week.

In looking forward, another coalition in the UK, particularly a Lab/SNP one would/should case further weakening of GBP, yes?
I'm thinking it's far simpler than that.
The country with the lowest interest rates has the weakest currency.
It's a simple explanation that works most of the time.
The governments in the UK have all been broadly the same since Maggie Thatcher.
I think basically a currency's strength mirrors the strength of the country's economy. You can't fool the markets, they know shit when they see it. That's why the yen/mark were always strong and the lire, dracma etc always weak. Therefore the markets know caMORON is talking rubbish about the UK's "booming" economy.

You can get a voluntary stamp, which is about £7 a week, from memory.
You also 'only' need 30 years to get a full pension.
Isn't it now 35 years
