Danish study links cannabis abuse to schizophrenia in men
bamnutsak replied to webfact's topic in Thailand Cannabis Forum
More observations.... Cannabis does not cause Schizophrenia. If you have been diagnosed with Schizophrenia you should not consume ANY cannabis unless so prescribed by a competent physician. Abuse of any drug/substance is not recommended. The headline of the OP should be modified. "Danish study indicates the abuse of all sorts of stuff can exacerbate the symptoms of Schizophrenia" -
Jury finds Donald Trump sexually abused E. Jean Carroll in civil case
bamnutsak replied to Scott's topic in World News
Understood, but an appeal can/may/could result in a new trial, right? From your link... If the appeals court affirms the lower court's judgment, the case ends, unless the losing party appeals to a higher court. The lower court decision also stands if the appeals court simply dismisses the appeal (usually for reasons of jurisdiction). If the judgment is reversed, the appellate court will usually send the case back to a lower court ( remand it) and order the trial court to take further action. It may order that a new trial be held, the trial court's judgment be modified or corrected, the trial court reconsider the facts, take additional evidence, or consider the case in light of a recent decision by the appellate court. So yeah, I'm not seeing that an appeal is the smart move. It just raises the ugly spectre of Trump's alleged aberrant behavior. But maybe you know something we don't? -
Jury finds Donald Trump sexually abused E. Jean Carroll in civil case

Yeah, in that post-verdict presser he comes across as clueless. The body language is telling too. I think he was just in a bit of a fog, dealing with the loss, having to tell Trump over the phone and getting screamed at, so he just fumbled his way through, repeating the same phrases. What's the point of an appeal? To get another trial? How is that a good thing for Trump? Playing the deposition tape over and over again? Just fleece your followers for $5 m, pay it and move on. And maybe look for cheaper sex options going forward? Ring up Ms. Daniels, only $130,000 a pop. -

"Trump is not a rapist, that's what this case was all about." Joe Tacopina It's a win. He does seem pretty adamant regarding the appeal, but that could just be his reaction to this devasting loss. https://www.newsnationnow.com/video/trump-lawyer-jury-returned-‘inconsistent-verdict’-newsnation-now/8632293/ -

OK, so based on some vague criteria you, and all Dutch people, are a self-declared drugs expert. So when pressed you revert to this defense. Noted. So are you calling me a fool? I neither dared nor claimed cannabis is all good. And who are you calling stupid? -

OK, when you put it like that, sure. I guess. But I can say you're wrong, followed by "that's a fact". Does everything work like a magnifying glass? Or just cannabis? Sorry, but this is just vague generalization, perhaps representative of your experiences. To say that it represents everyone's experience is flawed. No one is saying Cannabis use is without risk. Cannabis abuse needs to be defined. The study in the OP appears to be a less than rigorous, peer reviewed, published scientifc study. -

Well I'm completely sober, and I don't udnerstand what your sentences were meant to convey? Can you expand on your thoughts? For example, in your first statement, who is saying "Covid is a hoax"?, And who is answering? Some, many, all AN hard core drug users? Yes, I'll give you that. But it's not civil to imply some/any members are hard core drug users. -
Wow! If that was a "good night" for Trump I'd hate to see a "bad night". The NH Gov. should call out the National Guard, declare a state of emergency and request the EPA and FEMA (before SCOTUS strips them of their authority) come in and clean up this toxic spill. It's a good thing Kaitlin Collins isn't Trump's "type". Yeah, it's not like he's talking about policy. I mean unless the policy involves his grievences.

Do I have to be high to understand these sentences? BTW, calling fellow members "hard core drug users" is probably against forum rules. -
80 million baht cash found buried at Buddhist temple in Thailand

Found and returned by a taxi driver? Seriously, they should just list the temples which haven't been embezzled from, both of them. -
She used her trusty GT200 "Cyanide Detector". I thought that she was persona non grata. Thailand’s famous forensics expert Porntip gets ready for GT200 battle https://www.thaipbsworld.com/thailands-famous-forensics-expert-porntip-gets-ready-for-gt200-battle/ Hapkarn must feel overwhelmed with the massive workload (Chinese bahving badly, police corruption, serial/mass murder, drugs, embezzlements, financial scams, gambling....), so he needs "experts". Has National Police Chief Damrongsak gone missing? Should a BOLO be issued for him?

Thailand's sex workers hope election will change their lives
bamnutsak replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Are there any estimates on the annual gross revenue generated by the sex industry? And what percentage of that is attributable to foreigners? And what is percentage of GDP? I looked quickly but could only find some numbers Chuwit tossed out back in 2007. -

OK. We can discuss this further if/when Trump appeals the verdict. Next trial. -

For conducting a fair trial. There's probably a better legal term, "affirms the lower court judgement", but I am not a lawyer, nor do I portray one on Aseannow. -
Exclusive: Rep. George Santos charged by Justice Department in federal probe
bamnutsak replied to Scott's topic in World News
I believe Rep. Santos already voluntarily resigned (temporarily) from his committee assignments. https://www.cnbc.com/2023/01/31/rep-george-santos-says-he-wont-serve-on-house-committees-while-investigations-are-ongoing.html I don't there is anything more that can be done. Something like four (4) Reps have been expelled, ever. So he can resign, or be re-elected, or serve out his term. -
No clue why Gov. Abbott knee-jerkily responded so quickly after the verdict? He often comes across as hyserical and emotional, not someone I'd trust with the levers of power. He could have waited until sentencing, while formulating a cogent narrative and response in support of a pardon, and then presented his plan to the public. He could have assembled a group of criminal justice experts, and lawyers, to support his decision to pardon. He seems more interested in scoring political points than justice, or rational behavior.

Exclusive: Rep. George Santos charged by Justice Department in federal probe
bamnutsak replied to Scott's topic in World News
Congressman George Santos Charged with Fraud, Money Laundering, Theft of Public Funds, and False Statements Santos Allegedly Embezzled Contributions from Supporters, Fraudulently Obtained Unemployment Benefits, and Lied in Disclosures to the House of Representatives CENTRAL ISLIP, NY – A 13-count indictment was unsealed today in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York charging George Anthony Devolder Santos, better known as “George Santos,” a United States Congressman representing the Third District of New York, with seven counts of wire fraud, three counts of money laundering, one count of theft of public funds, and two counts of making materially false statements to the House of Representatives. The indictment was returned yesterday under seal by a federal grand jury sitting in Central Islip, New York. Santos was arrested this morning and will be arraigned this afternoon before U.S. Magistrate Judge Arlene R. Lindsay at the federal courthouse in Central Islip, New York. https://www.justice.gov/usao-edny/pr/congressman-george-santos-charged-fraud-money-laundering-theft-public-funds-and-false Indictment: www.justice.gov/d9/2023-05/santos.indictment.pdf On the plus side, Mr. Santos does not have to worry about getting "a Brazilian". Prosecutors accept deal with George Santos in Brazilian fraud case Prosecutors in Brazil have agreed to a deal with Rep. George Santos in a case in which he is accused of defrauding a Rio de Janeiro area clerk of $1,300 over clothes and shoes in 2008, documents obtained by CNN show. A petition from Santos' attorney requesting a deal says Santos would agree to formally confess to the crime and pay damages to the victim, a Rio de Janeiro area clerk, as is required under Brazilian law. https://www.kcra.com/article/prosecutors-accept-deal-george-santos-brazilian-fraud-case/43411189 One assumes he'll use funds obtained fraudulently in the U.S. to pay these damages in Brazil. He's so savvy. -

You are picking a strange hill to die on. Your posting volume, quality and content here on this topic come across as obsessive.. Trump will NOT appeal. Tacopino was just saying what Trump wanted him to say, after a blistering call with the ex-President. BTW, watching and hearing Tacopino get roasted by the crowd, with multiple F-bombs was classic "New Yawkah". And his lack of response said everything you need to know about this schmuck. Look, if you whack some wise-guy hire Joe. Otherwise, get a lawyer with relevant experience. Trump should start a law firm, and get John Robert's wife to help staff it. That way he'd have a bevy of quality lawyers on call. The Second Circuit Court of Appeals will back Judge Kaplan. Trump will settle - unless Ms. Carroll demands a retraction, which Trump won't agree to - and he'll just fleece his followers $5 M. Next trial. -

Interesting turn of phrase. Sounds "Science-y" to me, so I'll believe it. And it opens the door to "Fill in the blank User Disorder". "Idiot clicking on another cannabis article" User Disorder. I suffer from this. Look I get these cannabis articles get clicks, but maybe get creative? For every one hundred anti-cannabis articles maybe link to one that is balanced, or God forbid, pro cannabis.
