Lol,,,I’ve been thinking about the Democrats calling to abolish the Electoral College system and what a shock it would be to them if they still lost under a national popular majority takes all, which I think is possible.

My logic is that I believe Democrats are already highly motivated to vote in blue or red states and therefore we’ve seen their near their top line turnout numbers,,about three million more than republicans last election.

The theory is if it was a popular vote disenfranchised republicans from traditional blue states would turn up in large numbers as well as red states who usual don’t vote knowing their neighbors will carry the day.

Just an exercise in watching out for what you wish for.

  2. I see your need for a change but you definitely sucked all the calories and fun out of that meal. Maybe one of those dishes at a time with the rice and pork, lol.
My wife’s been to the USA enough times and can tolerate a little of “my food”. So now I make spaghetti with vegetables and meat sauces, grilled tuna or ham and cheese sandwiches with soup, chef salad with bottled dressings, omelettes with ham and vegetables, pancakes or crepes, multigrain cereal with toast and yogurt, macaroni and cheese, mashed potatoes with gravy, potato salad, grilled shrimp etc.
I know these aren’t the lowest calorie foods but I need the calories and variety. She’s just happy not to cook and blames “my food” (once a week or so) when the scale tips to the right!
Just some easy ideas, don’t give up.

  3. He's the leader of the Laos ethnic Thai majority, he doesn't need to be anything else to get every one of their votes in every election.

Never getting my Issan born wife’s vote. She’s loyal to the King. She tells me Thaksin questioned if the continuation of the royals was best for Thailand and for that he and his party are eternally in the penalty box.
She was in Bangkok in 2013/2014 and felt unsafe. She feels the police did and do nothing to help the people unlike the Kings Army who respond to disasters, emergency’s and corruption when called upon.
She’s okay with Prayut, “nobody’s perfect, he do good”
I’m no expert but she makes a good case from her perspective.

  4. Yep something going on, police never use to come to my house to check passport before.
2 year ago 1 visit from tourist police.
Last year 1 visit local police 1 more by tourist police.
This year 1 visit from tourist police,  1 visit local police,  1 visit Immigration police with local police.
I guess it's Joker, Batman where are you. [emoji41]

Maybe you’re their “go to good guy” in the area now. They can pop in to your place to appease the jokers mandate and know you’ll be in compliance. Then they can report back everything is in order in their sector, no bad guys here and return to playing on their phones in the air conditioned barracks.
