is that HH? where?
Muang Phon, Khon Kaen. Young Thai guy runs a steak shop with American cowboy country music and theme. Craziest thing to see all Thai customers and he has very limited English.- 2

towards on the high end of the scale is Carlo Italian Restaurant. Then many much more casual pizza pasta places near the Hilton tourist area.
I know where to get a great Spaghetti carbonara out of a cart for 60 baht.
I really think you should come here in June and look around in the evenings. it can be slow.
Yup food here is a tough business. I can get this ฿60 carbonara topped with bacon sitting down as an appetizer before the salmon steak arrives.- 2

Why not go to the local amphur where you’re trying to get her added to your extension and get married, again?
Just seems like an easy solution although I’m no expert. Just a possible simple solution. Pay a visa company that also does marriages and they drive you around, provide the witnesses, get you through the cues and be done in a few hours. -

Most likely a pickup rated for 1/2 or 3/4 ton was carrying 3 tons,,with no flammable cargo designation or safety restraints. I guess the driver was commended for running away to save his life and no charges were filed. Amazing Thailand.

In the US they can't sell alcohol on voting day while the polls are open usually between 7 am and 7 PM
Patently false. Google is your friend.- 3

Can you believe this guy? Vetoed a vote by Congress which would have continued to allow 10s of thousands of illegal migrants to enter the US circumventing legal points of entry, bringing drugs, human trafficking, terrorists, gang members, and people in immediate need of food, shelter, and healthcare to America...the land of the free...
Where is his human compassion?
Can you believe this guy, a non-politician, politician that despite the numerous government agencies investigations, media pushback of his mere existence has the audacity to fulfill as many of his campaign promises by any means necessary rather than suck-up to the resistance?

Clear your head, man up and do your job. Lay low and watch your back. Say nothing to anyone and let his destiny play out. Going to HR or talking to him or coworkers is only going to blow up in your face.
I mean this in the nicest way. He could have no physical plans but your inference of being fearful that he will hurt you could set him off.- 7

Bad brakes on a somlaw would be my guess.

After rereading it seems you’ve only asked if others have your same problem, no.

Maybe investigate aeration to offset low oxygen level of the water. Retaining ponds sometimes have them.

I’m keeping earplugs and noise canceling headphones closer than normal lately. I’m also shaking off groups in matching shirts faster than lottery sellers as they try to come up our steps. I just keep waving them off saying “no Thai” as they try to look around me for a Thai to hustle for a vote.
Wife gets a good laugh.- 1

Boiled down your issue is she’s not engaging in deep conversation, doesn’t swoon or respond the way you expect to you’re affectionate talk, advised you to come only if you can afford it and warned you she’s got three bars to run so she’ll be business as usual when you return I think you’re saying.
Sounds normal to me especially from a bar keep who has likely had and or seen a lot of bar girl/ foreigner relationships.
I’m guessing she needs to be in love with someone for marriage that moves to Thailand, can give her a better financial life than she’s already got going for herself and not jealous that she’s in a business that’s about relationships with men and hustling their money into her pocket. -
Why not an inexpensive watch, ring, shirt, sunglasses, or hat? Something he won’t piss away.

She and the rest of the Democrats/left of center/liberals/progressives/democratic socialists/socialists (have I forgotten any of their identity politics monickers?) are better suited to sit on a council for peace and order in a country that needs to return happiness to the people.

Driver's licence or not, it will not stop a single person in any village hopping on one of the family's Waves.
Like the 13 year old niece from the village that showed up at our house driving a motorbike we gave the mil and left ownership and insurance in my wife’s name. I immediately demanded my wife move ownership to her mothers name which was begrudgingly done.
A month later the niece borrowed the fil’s motorbike, let a friend drive them around and they crashed with an old mans samlaw. Fil had no insurance so they quietly took the newly minted papers from the mil’s bike and got away with it.
I barely needed to rub it in why it was good that the farangs wife’s name came off the bike if a 60 yr old grandma can’t say no to an unlicensed 13 year old when it comes to borrowing a motorbike. -

“I'm aghast at the frequency which which motorcyclists pull into traffic without looking... I can't understand it, I can't imagine it... are they that vacant ?”
Not looking is their way of being first by putting the burden of accident avoidance on the other party. It’s worked for them 100% of the time in the past so they keep doing it, until it doesn’t work. If they made eye contact they would have to concede it was incumbent on them to yield and that’s not being first.- 3

We could also make the same comment about ol mate who took the pics... [emoji849]
Yes I followed my LOS/TVF survivalist training and stayed calm, not letting my farang White Knight, Captain Save-a-Ho instinct kick in and get myself beaten up by three crazy chicks resulting in deportation.
I’m also pretty sure it’s not my job to settle personal disputes without a work permit because that’s something Thais can do for themselves. At least 20 people chose not to.
It took five minutes of fighting with many onlookers doing nothing before a kind grandpa pulled his samlaw over, asked my wife if they were serious and ended it. -

I’ll take my chances with the grilled salmon versus everything else fried or deep fried the Thais eat. I’m not trying to live forever, Thailand’s become too expensive. [emoji3]
