  1. Give me a break, Pal! How, in the name of God, would that be relevant, given the fact that the United States is racially and ethnically diverse, whereas Israel's population is mostly homogenous, with the majority of its population being Jewish.
  2. No they didn't! You're entitled to your own opinions, but not to your own facts.
  3. The following is from the U.S. Embassy's website. Arrest of a U.S. Citizen in Thailand While in Thailand, U.S. citizens are subject to its laws and regulations. Persons violating the law in Thailand, even unknowingly, may be fined, arrested, and/or deported. If detained, a U.S. citizen will have to go through the Thai legal process of being charged, prosecuted, and possibly convicted and sentenced. It is important to keep in mind that the legal process in Thailand can differ significantly from the one in the United States and may not provide the same protections available in the United States. In the event of an arrest, the U.S. Embassy will do all that it can to ensure that a U.S. citizen is not discriminated against under local Thai law, but it will not be able to guarantee the same protections available under U.S. law. U.S. consular officers provide a wide variety of services to U.S. citizens arrested abroad and their families; however, they cannot interfere in the Thai judicial process. If a U.S. citizen is arrested, ACS Consular officials should be notified immediately. This may be done by the police at the time of arrest, or by a friend or relative of the detainee.
  4. I lived and worked in Israel for five months and also stayed at the youth hostel in Ein Gedi and I also saw visitors there who were armed. However, unlike you, I'm still not too lazy to do a little research. Also, no mining of Wiki was necessary, given the fact that the demand by Israelis that their government loosen its restrictions on private gun ownership is current news there.
  5. Do you ever get the facts straight? Do a little research and you'll find out that Israel has some of the most restrictive Gun Control laws in the world with fewer than 8% of Israeli homes having firearms.
  6. Yes, but it was those armed Israelis who put a stop to the invasion of their country by Hamas terrorists, not the unarmed and defenseless.
  7. I guess all those unarmed Israelis who were just butchered by Hamas terrorists felt safe with their country's strict Gun Control laws. Sadly, they weren't.
  8. On the contrary, you're the one who doesn't get it. The two sentences I referenced do contain a contradiction, given the context that they are related to the same altercation and involve the same police agency and the threat posed by Brian. In the first sentence, it is stated that the city's law enforcement quickly neutralized the threat, suggesting that the situation was resolved promptly. However, the second sentence states that the municipal and tourist police forces tracked down Brian at a nearby inn the next day, implying that Brian was not immediately apprehended or the threat fully eliminated. So, no offense intended, but you might want to consider taking a course in reading comprehension. Also, maybe some anger management counseling might be in order as well.
  9. Yawn...z-z-z-z-z-z-z-z-z-z-z-z-z-z--z
  10. “Quick to the scene, the city's law enforcement neutralized the threat” “the municipal and tourist police forces tracked down Brian at a nearby inn the next day.” GEEZ, I can't quite put my finger on it, but there seems to be a contradiction here somewhere.
  11. If you have evidence of that then please present it.
  12. As an American, I always find myself boiling over and wanting to throw a smashing right to the chops of any American who gets out of line here. After all, the bad behavior of one American can cause others to be unfairly judged.
  13. What the Thais do with Thaksin is none of my business. Right now it's the political corruption in my hometown of San Francisco that concerns me because it directly affects me.
  14. They're just taking a breather after committing so many unspeakable crimes in the last century.
  15. Thank you, Gentlemen! My friend has decided that he will simply try to renew his visa here in Thailand. Border runs are more easily done when one is young and in good health. Thanks again for the info.
  16. I have a friend with a Non-O visa which will expire next month on October 19th 2023. He got the visa last year and would now like to know if he leaves Thailand before his visa expires and reenters Thailand will he automatically get another year on his visa?
  17. The increasing number of homeless on the streets of American cities is a strong indicator that sanity is not returning.
  18. Either that or he's just plain flat broke.
  19. Sadly, with each passing day, American politics are getting to look more and more like those of a Banana Republic.
  20. Will you be testifying for the prosecution?
  21. Pure evil! I hope he receives the death penalty.
  22. No need for that, one Gout attack was enough.
