  1. Let's all get together and decide what a winning vote should be.

In all future elections of any sort, we'll keep the same rule.

So what percentage would you like to call a winner?

No MP can ever be elected without the percentage.

No parliamentary vote can ever be carried without that percentage.

Then you would have to make voting compulsory with a heavy penalty for not doing so.

  2. Seems to be a single lane road and one of them, either the taxi or the car, could have reversed a little bit to let the other car pass through. Looks like both had big ego problems. The foreigner was foolish as it could have easily led to violence.

Onnut 30 is narrow but not a single lane road; all that is needed is the application of common sense at the pinch points, The photo seems to be near the junction with Suk 93 where it is wide enough for 2 cars to pass unless one is overtaking something.

Given that the junction with Soi 93 is almost always busy it would be madness to reverse in that direction.

  3. Probably the top mall for computers is Fortune Town which is at the Rama 9 subway station so easy to get to and much closer to city center.

Absolutely, good choice of outlets there. Avoid Panthip and the nuisance of the guys trying to sell knock off DVDs.

  4. What's with the Aussies and pedophilia now days? only this morning another Australian was

arrested for paddling child pornographic material on the internet and now this,

being far from the reach of the Australian authorities back home, they find an open field for their

    disgusting and illicit behavior.......

Not just the Aussies so they should not be singled out, another high profile one in the UK news this morning. Maybe people are just wakening up to their presence at all levels of society in all countries. Seems to have been particularly rife among UK government ministers; maybe those so inclined are also inclined to seek out positions of power/control in the "normal" side of their lives.

  5. Interesting to note the difference in punishment this lad got, and the lads that carried out over 1,600 gang rapes of vulnerable and even handicapped children in care in Rotherham, Bradford, Oxford and across the UK. 71 offenses against children vs over 1,600 offenses against children. Now, my posts always disappear when I claim there is a dichotomy in applied law as regards white ethnic Britains and "southerners" so I will not make this claim again. Perhaps some savvy poster can explain why such incredible differences for 2 revolting crimes. FTR I know why - I'm just not allowed to say why.

We all know why and it stinks like a barrel of rotting fish.

  6. Statements here requested at a branch, at least in my recent experience, do not give details of the payee, only:

amount, date, transaction code, withdrawal amount, deposit amount, balance and (sometimes) a user ID.

Getting the transaction detail can be done, but takes time particularly if out of the home bank area or not recent.

  7. They are more than bad,no driving skills at all. They are able to drive straight but in the moment the direction changes, they have a problem.

Traffic is bad allover because thais not keep the rules and police is to lazy to enforce the law.For example if there is a street with 2 lanes with a congestion, thais will make 4 lanes out of 2 lanes, and at the end of the congestion everybody has to slow down to let the other cars come back into the correct lane, total stupidity.IF the police would punish every single traffic offense and keep the laws by them self, traffic would improve and accidents reduced. But that's wishful thinking

You may remember the return from a Pattya weekend before the motorway; hard shoulders both sides of the two lanes used as extra running lanes then total chaos at the frequent bridges where the additional "lanes" ended, delaying everyone.

The road is much improved but the drivers hardly at all. Of course there are exceptions, but even the good ones seem to turn bad the second that they are delayed.

  8. Switched my daughter and 2 Thai stepdaughters when Brown destroyed the pound. They would have been between 6 and 10 at the time.

They moved to Sarasat Ektra in Sathu Pradit. Only issue was for the eldest (Thai) to spend a year catching up in the associated Thai school as she had previously been in a temple school.

All went on to continue their education in the UK. I can't recall any issues with paperwork but maybe things have changed,

  9. All the posters who condemned me in the post about caring Thais should read this, then hang their heads in shame.

Its got nothing to do with being thai, its about people.

After many years working and living here I have to say that it is absolutely about Thais, particularity the ill educated ones. Of course that does not exclude the people of our own countries but there is a huge difference.

  10. Would we be allowed in such positions (or any other job in public services and the like) in their countries? As they are followers of a religion which has been fighting against us either directly or insidiously for centuries they should all be banned. We rarely if ever hear any condemnation from the followers of that religion. If they go to the mosque and listen to the rantings of an Imam then they are part of the enemy; an enemy that has already been allowed a large foothold in the UK and allowed to do as they please in their many ghettos.
