For those with similar needs longer term I have a "BTS sky smartpass" which doesn't have the short time limit. I've been using it since my wife gave it to me over 2 years ago; says it is valid for 5 years with a 2 year limit on stored value since last top-up.

To quote a certain well known lady of ill repute: "Well she would say that, wouldn't she?"

This is a very easy calculation and the answer should always be zero. Such customs have no place in the world today. My wife agrees with me, although we do support her aged father with a small amount every month which I don't mind.

"...misus needs a credit card"
That seems like the best reason for not getting one.

Voting by post is nigh on impossible from here; might just manage it if you want to splash out on DHL etc. to return it. Maybe just time to arrange a proxy vote.

What hope is there for any improvement in driving standards whilst they think that getting their vehicle blessed or carrying dolls will protect them?

Between Obama & Kahn, they can self destruct the world.
Not unless Kahn, as the Mayor of London, has the keys to the UKs nuclear weapons, which i dont think he has !!...those keys as far as i am aware are still in the hands of the old Etonians
They don't need weapons; they do it by stealth.

A sad day for the UK. "They" have been allowed to take positions on far too many local councils already. Their religion make them totally incompatible with our own culture and, if they are allowed to continue growing in number, that culture will be history soon.

Try the khlongs. Some, such as Phrakhanong and Khlet (On Nut) can be walked for several kilometers. Just carry a dog stick on some of the quieter ones...

Many people with a half decent job here don't get paid 25k per month. Many more are on the minimum wage of 300+ per day. She's well overpaid.

BKK 62 sq m. 2 bedroom. Usual utilities plus computers for total say 16 hours / day. AC on for an hour or so before bedtime 23- 25 degrees then fan and widows open with fly screens. Fan much of the day too. Usual bill just under 1000 baht. Last bill average ~4 baht per unit. One bedroom does have the advantage of the room below having their AC on 24.7 which keeps the floor cool.

Brilliant - great escape from the nanny state we all know back home.

Rather than whinging about the leak perhaps they should focus on ridding us of such hooligans for a very long time. Once they have done that they can look at the causes and rectify them. If they can't or won't understand or accept the causes then they need to step aside and make room for someone who can.
Those causes are clear to anyone who opens their eyes.

The apology is worth nothing; only a lengthy jail term will make him think twice about doing it again.

Sadly another "accident" in a history of far too many. Crazy drivers for the most part who think that they have the absolute right of way over every other road user. Compounded by vans with weak body structures, too many seats crammed in, and capable of speeds far greater than the suspension and brakes are up to.
No point in imposing speed limits on them as they will simply be ignored. They need to be equipped with speed limiters and tachographs with heavy penalties for tampering and driven only by people licensed to do so via a proper driving test.
How many more have to die in these vans for action to be taken?

Too many ill (un?) -educated wasters here now, often permanently pissed or drugged. It will not improve until the education of the masses improves and the law is enforced. I guess that there is no salvation for the existing wasters but no excuse for churning out more of them.

Seems like a bit of a case of xenophobia and they only want the money.
Sadly it is targeted xenophobia against our legitimate wives and family whilst vast numbers of illegals get away with it and end up being supported at the taxpayers' expense. I could go on....but nothing will change.

The answer is earlier in thread .It would be interesting to know how many appeals are successful. If the percentage of successful appeals is very low (which I am guessing they are) it would make sense that they would attempt to discourage it.
"Figures are never up to date, but in 2014 the number of immigration appeals was around 70,000, I believe. But, that does include asylum appeals of course. The percentage of that 70,000 that were allowed was 26%. Around 17 -18,000 ?"
Courtesy of Tony M
That is a way higher number of successful appeals than I imagined.
It would be interesting to have more data on that; either they get it wrong too often or they are beaten into allowing them by the scourge of HR lawyers in the UK.

One needs to remember that the media in the UK, especially C4, is controlled by the extreme left, so anything that they produce needs to be consumed with a very large pinch of salt.

Document issued by Rotherham Health Authority to their hospitals.
They must think that we are as dim as they are.

Got my one year extension at CW today, not asked to fill in that particular form, just the normal 3 declarations which, as far as I recall. have been needed for a number of years but are not available for pre-completion..

thailand is finnished..i dont care what the brain dead rose tint wearers say, this shows a huge problem with THAIS and their society ...land of smiles anyone dont you just love the gentle orange robe wearing culture
The monastic culture that you try to blame has nothing to do with road racing gangs.
I t might have; they get their vehicles blessed by the local monk and become invincible. I've even seen pictures of wrecks in a temple to prove that it works...

"Police have said that around 300 vehicles are members of the Bai Kluay Club" If they know the vehicles then they should be confiscated and broken up.
