Have they advised motorcyclists, baht bus drivers, and the ubiquitous food delivery drivers, if not, then please do not go ahead with the plan.Â

victim blame much... exactly how did you determine that she was driving too fast... and when did side streets become a "hazardous area" by nature.Â
Her excessive speed, with a baby in her arms is obvious. I specified âjunctionâ in my comment, not side street. Motorcycles, regardless of the danger they are putting themselves or others in, will NOT stop and look for oncoming traffic.

Not looking as they enter main roads is normal behavior here, the lady on the motorcycle is driving too fast as she approaches a hazardous area, a junction, especially considering her babies.Â

I drove to Udon Thani today, a 3.5 hour return trip, I have never seen such a palling driving standards  in my life. Very few driving under the speed limits, lane changes just for the sake of it, undertaking when there was no need. The list goes on. Not a single policeman in sight. The lack of care and attention is beyond belief.

Lucky that they realized your UK license.
That multiple choice test with 50 questions (45 must be right) is not that easy without preparing.

Especially when some of the questions make little sense.

I recently , on a Saturday afternoon, had a white van pull up outside our rarely used back entrance. An individual wearing a quasi-uniform approached saying that I had a problem with my visa. I laughed in his face, saying I renewed my extension of stay (11th year) last week. He showed me a printout of an obviously older Sino-Thai gentleman asking if this was me. I told him it obviously was not. He asked to see my passport, I showed him, but did not release custody of it. He apologized and left. A very strange encounter. My local Immigration office have never carried out a home visit in those 11 years.

All the grannies at our local market in Issan  are discussing which 5 star hotel in Bangkok to choose for this latest holiday.Â

I hope that's the case, I can deal with that. Thank you for responding.
It is absolutely the case, happened to me last year, presented no problems with Immigration. Obtain your new passport ASAP.

I have a piece of string here. I'll ask my wife how long it is.

I'd suggest the OP does the same with regards to the projected funeral costs. There's no common ground and many variables to consider.
One thing you must do, is place, say 2000 baht in a white envelope, and pass it to the deceaseds wife at an evening prayer session, making sure that people see the gesture.

It is generally becoming more difficult to do anything on this site. Â Very heavy on adverts, the CSS element needs substantial review.

They are racist. But OP, you don't need any help to comes to terms with that, just accept and don't think about it, move on through your day and give them that fake smile back. I have good Thai friends who I wouldn't consider the same, we go out drink, have food whatever, but there are all the others.Â
When I travel by bus to Udon Thani, about a 2 hour trip, I never have some local sit beside me, I quite like that. If only, it worked on flights.

When I was in quarantine in a Thai provincial hospital, their idea of mayonnaise on a ham and salad roll was strawberry jam.
I tried Pizza Hut - once. The cheese they use is revolting tasteless goo.
They put mayonnaise on a pizza I ordered in Nong Khai, never returned.

So your recommendation is to throw a tantrum? ????
No.  But  I would not accept them NOT signing a simple form. My bank does sign my LC, for both my pensions. Furthermore I also telephone the DWP to confirm receipt of my LC. No tantrums involved.

Your first priority is to close the 2 accounts, and scout around for a bank that wants your money AND will sign your LC.

Â
"The aim of the programme is to attract, identify and develop the most talented who wish to reach senior levels of leadership within the police service. They will bring new perspectives, diverse skills, have a positive influence on the continuous development of policing, and impact on the management and culture of the service.Â
The programme also supports individuals to advance to the rank of inspector within two years for serving constables and to reach the senior ranks of the service (at least superintendent).
Overall, it supports individualsâ continuing professional development to provide a cadre of officers with the skills, experience and capacity to reach the senior ranks in the service.
If you feel you have the potential and drive to become a fast track officer and reach senior levels in police leadership then Fast Track could be the programme for you"
.
Â
Just sayin...
Very true, however coming from a connected family in the UK, would not help.

ÂŁ1600.00 will be spent by some, not all, on alcohol, cigarettes and lottery scratch cards. We already have, in the UK, a UI scheme, as for years individuals have been able to play the system into receiving dole money, whilst perfectly able to work, they also received free housing and house improvements, including new showers, external ramps and decking. Once they fritter away their ÂŁ1600.00 they will go and apply for emergency assistance.Â

They are causing you to much grief, move on, there are other, better, providers out there. I pay ,via True Money slip, each month, the provider does not know my bank details, or my home address.

I'm not entirely sure that there is an "agents fee" when using the VFS service in Chiang Mai.
If there is is it's very small and well hidden.
I renewed my passport there earlier this year and I paid what I'm fairly sure is the same price as what someone renewing their passport in Britain would pay. Plus, of course an additional courier fee to have it shipped out to Thailand.
I also paid in pounds sterling, not baht.Â
VFS are not âagentsâ, they are an in-country service provider. Â I would never pay an agent for providing any service that I can complete myself. I chose to travel to Chiang Mai, and have a wee holiday, rather than go to that awful place Bangkok.

Have you considered going to Chiang Mai and using the VFS service, they are based next to the Maya Shopping Mall, easy parking, plenty of hotels etc. Very efficient service.
