Thailand 4.0 has been O.O since it's inception, the idea of computerisation or digitalisation is remove paperwork not increase it but the Thai bureaucracy is so dumb it can't work this out.
All any Immigration office need do is to open a file upon an individual first applying for whatever he needs. On the left hand of the file is a colour photocopy of the passport etc, the main substantiating documents. These are never to be removed from the file. Right hand of file is for future applications etc. Each year you turn up with your passport and application form. No need for any copies.

It is on my list, but I do update any changes from year to year. The old passport request is a new one (I was there in January) and they did not need even a copy of the original visa.
Writing you full name is a new one too, before it was just the signature on every page.
You can obtain from UK stationery shop a small stamp with your name imprinted, a wee ink pad, and you are done. I believe you can also get an actual copy of your signature imprinted, that would really <deleted> them off. But don’t forget to buy 2 different shades of blue inkpads.

Yesterday, on a half hour trip, I passed 10 village checkpoints, all fully manned, all fully asleep. Cones placed haphazardly, actually causing obstruction to traffic. Our village has cones now to filter traffic down to a single lane, causing delays.

Damn you were faster ????
For years there was the head of village health volunteers who started his morning fanfare (same "Thai rap" day after day) as early as 5:10h. Followed by important information like what day/date/time it is, time to get up, do morning hygiene, healthy breakfast and clean teeth.
Even my wife found him ridiculous.
The village headmen of the three villages around have varying routines/schedules and sound levels depending on distance. Sometimes two at a time.
Additional there is twice weekly a market with barking from the speakers.
The enormous noise by some family events (marriage, death, monk novice) is incalculable.
Sometimes silent for weeks and then every other day.
Should I mention the deafening noise by loudspeaker trucks driving around for the last two weeks or so promoting candidates for the mayor election ????
Thankfully the elections are over, it was overkill with up to 7 different loudspeaker vans touring the area. When they handed out the cash on Saturday night, it was done so,so quietly by comparison. As a rule, our village loudspeakers are at 12pm and 4pm daily, only occasionally do we get an 0600hrs broadcast. But it is seriously loud when it happens. Funerals around here are 7 days long. Some days, there is almost complete silence, with locals staying housebound, very peculiar the differences.

His time would be better spent fixing sidewalks and potholes.

She knew EXACTLY what she was getting into when she travelled to join ISIS.
Everyone was already well aware of the atrocities they were carrying out based on the sole reason of peoples religion. She knew that.
Now if she now finds herself in a difficult position I suggest she asks ISIS or indeed its backers for some kind of aid.
The UK owes her no favours at all.
She got what she voted for.
Let her apply for Syrian social security and a 2 bedroom tent sans running water.

Using my TAT logic calculator, I can see that:
6 million divided by 300 passengers per flight =20,000 flights
divided by 180 days for the last six months of the year = 111 flights per day
divided by 18 hours, flights per day = 6 flights per hour.
Is no problem, Mr Fawlty.
THAI have this under control, as they are going to order in new aircraft.

The article says that in 2022, 70% will be vaccinated to “ensure herd immunity”. How does Herd Immunity” come into play AFTER receiving a vaccination.

Perhaps they should think of another strategy as they have tried this one for years with no success. I have never seen anyone stop at one of these "assistance" points which are often in the most inconvenient places to stop!
Once again, the village has set up a tent complex for volunteers to sit in and watch Facebook. As ever, cars are simply driving through the cones sited on the road, no sign of a policeman with speed camera or breathalyser.

With a population of nearly 70 million that's perfectly feasible.
Feasible, but ultimately pointless exercise in training so many.

Sure, but as French people had to endure your compatriots gun, knife and truck attacks they have become less receptive to migrants. Go figure.

Any UK members have problems receiving their P60 for FY2019/20. For the first time in 24 years I have not received mine.
E-mails have received only one cursory reply, asking for additional personal information, and despite my sending a follow-up e-mail no reply has arrived.
equiniti have been top notch since I left, superb administration, but this year...........

For what its worth I live near Nong Khai immigration and have never seen has many cars parked outside on the road. I counted at least 30 so it appears all immigration offices are very busy
I went yesterday, to extend my stay (retirement) as I had all my ducks in a row, and my bank is only 20k from Immigration, so I decided to go have a try. Not due until 29th, but always leave some wiggle room. Well it was a shambolic mess, bodies strewn everywhere, more staff than I have seen in 9 years. An overflow office for pre-screening in use. I had assumed that a system would have been in place to service the customers who needed to get their extensions before the 26th, and that other routine cases would be serviced separately. Boy, was I wrong. Their were apparently, at 3pm, still 80 people ahead of me. An IO who has dealt with me before, advised that I return on Monday, when she believes all will have returned to normal. All I need do on Monday is pay in some money to the 800k account and update the book. 99.9% of customers at Nong Khai were Lao. Only myself and 1 other Farang.

Im starting to think that this is an elaborate way to increase car sales. After all, why else would one of the largest per capita police forces be completely absent from the roads?
I actually saw a Highway Patrol car on duty outside Nong Khai yesterday, even the wife commented.

Good luck trying to prove you have coverage while standing at the Immigration arrivals hall at Swampy. You will need 3 copies of the policy, 3 of your passport and your Fit to Fly forms, dealing with an non English speaking official.

I'd suggest that 'alleviate' needs to be replaced with 'exasperate', going on City Hall's abysmal handling of all other projects.
It would help if they stopped holding pointless meetings at City Hall, every other day, involving hundreds of participants, who are merely attendees with nothing to contribute.

I have two pensions,The British State Pension and A British Army Pension Both are British Government pension but the British"Embassy"refuses to provide any letter for Thai Immigration certifying it's own government pensions WHY?? perhaps you should drop the word Embassy and call it a trade mission as that is what it is.
In the same position, I fully agree. The Embassy should be able to provide a letter of confirmation based upon the P60. Then there can be no doubts about the validity of UK income.
