  1. Couldn't really call the ABC thing a debate, biased against the old geezer with the others contribution pulling faces and laughing her way through.
  2. Check out: https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-13844919/bodycam-eating-cat-Ohio-trup-pets.html
  3. Update. Renewing at Chonburi DVLT front desk accepted yellow book / pink ID card, only had to agree changing license number from passport to ID card digits. Did tests, etc. Long wait to make payment and get licenses BUT was told “big boss” does not accept yellow book and I must have residency letter from immi. Sorted. Next day no need for test, straight to processing licenses. Was told that if yellow book used license is for only two years (not five) and limited to district of issue. Knowing this, would recommend to always use passport, even when getting fresh license, DVLT is familiar with immi letter, cut out any confusion, done & dusted for next five years.
  4. House insurance way to go. No issues claiming, insurer has paid for new kitchen units (Ikea) after water pipe break, sorted roof leaks causing ceiling and wooden floor damage at least three times. Compensated for TV and other electrical appliance surge damage. Premium only costs approx 5,000 /year. Good investment.
  5. Renewing five-year license, I have yellow book and pink ID card - is certificate of residency from immigration still needed?
  6. Macbook (with US keyboard) and iPads cheaper in Thailand, though accessories more expensive. Camera bodies cheaper, lenses more expensive. Just need to compare product for product to UK.
  7. Lived in Bangsaen 11 years, fun, lively, still "Thai", nice beaches (if you know where to go and depending on time of year). Weekdays, peaceful fishing village vibe, weekends crazy full on happy zone. If I get bored of local vibe, simply visit Bangkok or Pattaya, both are short hop away,. after this nice to return home.
  8. Genius post. Cheers buddy.
  9. My Ranger came with a Thai service and handbook. Picked up English version in UK.
