I'll answer my own question: last night got a rejection notice stating the hotel failed to respond within 30 hours; messaged the hotel, and an hour later got an approval without submitting any further documentation.

I submitted my T&G app yesterday, no receipt confirmation email yet. Maybe they're swamped -- anyone else still waiting for a response?

I just booked 7 day AQ today, so your friend need not panic.

Royal Thai Consulate Los Angeles clearly states that AQ is now 7 days for vaxxed, 10 days for unvaxxed, 14 days if coming from those dirty African countries.  Anutin's statement was apparently not completely accurate... go figure.

Jack*ss made a series of mistakes leading up to the fairly predictable result.  Had it not been a "knife" it would've been a length of 2x4 or quite possibly a gun, which many Thais are known to possess.  Cheeky <deleted> told the bloke to go home; there's a trigger if there ever was one.  Now the fool's afraid to leave his own house -- som nam na.

Lol I think you mean respirator not incubator, but I fully agree there is a huge difference between vaxxed and unvaxxed with regards to their respective threat to the public health.  Anyone who has witnessed the carnage being done in the USA by the 30-40% of the population who stubbornly refuse to be vaccinated will agree that those folks probably shouldn't be allowed to travel at all, but if they are, ought to be subjected to the strictest quarantine possible.

I say if fully vaxxed and tested within 72 hours of departure -- and then rapid tested again upon arrival at the travellers expense -- folks should not be required to quarantine at all.  Any still-unvaxxed travellers from Western countries need to do at least 15 days quarantine and probably ought to have their heads examined.

Nice.  There is also a communicable disease control officer in each subdistrict.  Perhaps he or she would agree to reduce the time for those in quarantine here who have already done 7 days but not yet 14?
