Not clear from the graph as it's so compressed, but this is from January 1st 1980 to date.

I’ve got a clearer one here.

As posted above, at a quick glance excluding the obvious skewed AFC, of which will never happen again in our lifetime, I rate the GBP to THB @ a fair value of 45:1. Not that much far off what it is now.

Again, I’m not an economist nor do I have any real chart experience.

    Can track here

     https://fxtop.com/en/historical-exchange-rates.php?A=1&C1=GBP&C2=THB&YA=1&DD1=&MM1=&YYYY1=&B=1&P=&I=1&DD2=03&MM2=10&YYYY2=1988&btnOK=Go!

For many years as I remember it, the THB was locked into the USD & sterling fluctuations against the THB were similiar to the fluctuations GDP to USD

Exactly what I was looking for, thank you ????????

Now I’m definitely not a statistician nor very good with charts but to me it’s the GBP to THB looks to have a fair value between 40-50thb?

clearly the Asian Financial Crisis skews the results quite heavily

Does anyone have specific chart analysis ability on this forum please

I see many  resales  repeatedly appearing again on Baht&Sold …. but they are still dreaming to get their investment back from the good condo market prices years before ….  and preferable with some extra profit …… the real fire sales go quick …. so I think many are not real desperate to sell

Agreed. I see many properties that were at least 50% overpriced as new and that or more used. It can only go backwards from here one would think

  4. My monthly budget is 65K and I have a 100m2 condo in Pratumnak 200m from the beach. I eat out nearly every day, mix of Thai and foreign food. I have a few beers per week but nothing outrageous.

my budget includes visa costs, something your friend wouldn’t have to worry about past an SETV or METV, utilities, groceries and 1000thh a day cash.

Getting refunds from who?  Cook is in bankruptcy and I didn't think they put aside any funds for refunds.  Is the British government putting up the money to re-imburse the travelers?

Around 60 percent of the cost for the flights was funded by a government insurance program called the Air Travel Organizer's License, which means that Thomas Cook customers who booked package travel — generally, some combination of flights, hotels and car rental — are assured of refunds for future canceled trips

ha!  I have been contemplating retiring for the last two years.  I know I get bored and will get  bored.  But the Dilbert situation at work is going to drive me to punch out this December for sure, possibly I will hang on for a few more months if they transfer me back to Florida.

Through no fault of my own I’m unable to work and had a forced retirement @ 36 (I collected my superannuation so I guess that qualifies as retirement)

I used to work an extremely busy and stressful job in construction, punching out 70+ hours a week on average. I thought I’d go nuts too but it’s surprising how easily you can fill your day enjoyably doing things that really interest you.

My day compiles on average of:

    1hr walk on the beach

    Gym/CrossFit

    Movies/TV series/news

    Cycling

    Trips on my bike

    Sim racing (very addictive)

I’ve now got myself a project car that I’m enjoying rebuilding on a budget, great fun.

I love my life here and wouldn’t change it for all the money in the world

Note: A lot of things used to frustrate or bother me but over a very small period of time I’ve learnt to compartmentalise any negativity I have and my life is so much better for it!

I have 2 Thai friends that are Licensed Chinese Guides and they haven't had a tour in 6 weeks or more (they where previously turning down tours before since they were so busy and needed breaks).  They told me yesterday that most of the companies they are hired by have said none in the near future so both have taken up p-time jobs.  Don't believe the story!

Or your friends aren’t very good at their jobs and the companies have found someone better/cheaper.

is fluid-retention the most common reason why ab definition can come and go within a short period of time?

    Absolutely part of the equation

I’m definitely no expert but when I had abs  I had to watch my salt intake and make sure I was hydrated correctly. No alcohol whatsoever.

Mad soon as I trough the balance I noticed in a matter of days

The TM.30 is not your responsibility. It's the responsibility of the condo owner, your friend.

You may need to file a TM.28 notifying Immigrations that you have changed your address, but apparently that's only enforced in some districts but not all.

That's my understanding of the TM.30 / TM.28 conundrum anyway.

Why would he need to notify of change of address if he’s staying in the one place?

All is very well but you can't put limits or curb people's stupidity and carelessness... and that goes for every kind of motorised mode of transport out there...

Yeah fantastic. I look forward to getting stopped more than i do now. He at handed law ‘enforcement’ won’t get anywhere until people are educated. How about they start educating at young age in schools?

Nice to see u have arrived safely my friend.

Oh but what about the viet bashes on this site saying you can't get a one year visa, and it's impossible and so difficult to open a bank account????

nice to hear from someone on the ground, with actual facts, and not BS.

ill send u a PM. Take care, oh and remember, the restaurants all serve dog meat! Hahahahahahaha.

good luck on the <deleted> shoot trying to get back into Thailand to clean out your condo!

Just remember he has a one year visa to Vietnam. It’s just as easy to open a bank account in Thailand with a 12 month visa, the people stating that it’s difficult aren’t necessarily being untruthful

  12. Diet is super important for any muscle gain. 2 grams of protein per kg of body weight at a minimum. Restful sleep and consistent, quality training.

As suggested above, look up some of the more recognised trainers and suggested diets on YouTube and Google, there's a huge amount of info out there. No one can really give you advice over the internet without knowing your body type, training program and intensity, diet etc.

    Don't forget your triceps!!

Remember just stay committed and consistent and train smarter with the right information, not neccessarily harder.

This a pic of my twigs at the peak pf my powers. Around 18 months in the making
