  1. I fully intend to do it in one day--in minutes in fact. Walk 100 meters carrying the cash from one bank to the other in Central Festival. I have used multiple bank books up to now from Bangkok Bank because their term deposits were 7 months or 3 months. I'm sick of that, plus I'd like the higher interest. Thanks to everyone for the knowledge shared--I will go with Krungsri.
  2. I've noticed on the visa section that the kind of account that is accepted for retirement is different at different offices around Thailand. However, at Jomtien they accept fixed term deposits and I have had a fixed-term deposit with Bangkok Bank that has successfully satisfied them for years. I have noticed that LH Bank has a much more attractive interest rate (1% vs 0.5%) and a branch at Central Festival, so I'm considering marching my money across the mall to get that better rate, but I worry that immigration won't be happy with me. I'd be very interested to hear if anyone else has used LH Bank or any other banks and or types of accounts for their 800,000 baht deposits, and also the experience of anyone who has changed banks. I'm hoping this is the right section of the forum to post this as it's Pattaya/Jomtien immigration related.
  3. Back to the 3-month post visa requirement at Jomtien. I just did my extension and received no instruction to return after 3 months, nor any paper instructing me to do so like I received last year. Does anyone know if this requirement has been dropped or did the official handling my paperwork just forget?
  4. I just walked in. I think it continues (and finishes) tomorrow. Translated from Thai by Google: "People who received 2 doses of Sinovac vaccinationThere is a hospital that offers walk in needle 3 (Astrazeneca)At the same hospital that used to receive 2 needles as follows:1. Bang Lamung Hospital during 6 - 8 October 20212. Venue: Chaiyapruek Stadium from 8:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.|"
  5. Just got back from Chaiyapreuk Stadium--got my AZ booster there after two Sinovac shots back in May? June? at Phyathai2 hospital in Bangkok. No problems, showed them the information on the Mor Prom app and sailed through--with my passport of course. Took about 40 minutes from arrival to getting jabbed--it's a huge operation. Very heartening.
  6. Abilify is very expensive here, about 4000 a month, so I'm looking for the generic equivalent. An old topic suggests a generic called Apalife, but even that is very expensive. Does anyone have any information/leads on generic Abilify/Apripiprazole?
