Russian invasion creates a multitude of problems for tourism
Hayduke replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
No problem. The statistical wizards at TAT will crunch some numbers and announce the imminent arrival of 10 million Indian billionaires and 1.5 million Saudi trillionaires. It’s all good.- 186 replies

Thailand's NCSA warns heightened cyber treats following Ukraine invasion
Hayduke replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Wow….this sounds serious. The country could be caught without that absolutely essential single internet gateway. Good thing big brother China is there to lend a hand and protect Thailand from all manner of scary cyber-danger. -
One of Thailand’s biggest scourges revels in great polarity

Which 'democracy' being 'weakened' are we talking about here? -
Thailand's public stance on the Ukraine conflict is consistent with China's public stance on the Ukraine conflict. Any position not in agreement with China....is clearly out of the question.

Talk about rewriting history. The Hero-General-Czar had this whole virus thing locked up single-handedly over two years ago. I certainly hope Anutin isn't trying to upstage the Supreme Leader and steal his valiant plague fighting glory. That would never do. January 27, 2020 Thailand’s PM assures coronavirus situation is “100% under control” Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha has assured the public that the novel coronavirus situation in Thailand is “100% under control” and that he will personally take charge of overseeing the operations of all related agencies to deal with the virus

Since the Thai government can't even reliably mange an online 90 day report....this is something they’d clearly need to outsource. Wonder where they might be able to find a monolithic, aggressive, immoral, unethical, repressive, totalitarian police state to help out…. ...…in the interest of national harmony, eternal friendship and everlasting world peace, of course.

Plastic amulets seek to reduce Thailand's pollution woes
Hayduke replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
What short-sighted, illogical, and unscientific thinking! How can cheap, recycled plastic amulets possibly be imbued with the supernatural charge, magical power, spiritual energy, and miraculous efficacy we need and rely on? This idea will surely come to naught. -
Foreigner Driving Work Vehicle Aggressively
Hayduke replied to Mr Meeseeks's topic in Thailand Motor Discussion
In situations like this I ask myself…..”Do I want to have a relationship with this person?” As the answer is invariably ‘no’…...I forget about it. -
Why Gen Prayut may have to switch parties to remain in power
Hayduke replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
....Prayut has also lost control and influence in the ruling party. It's more about control of the army than control of the party. When the army stops obeying orders....he will become little more than 'coup-bait'.- 29 replies

Will Western tourists ever go off visiting Thailand?
Hayduke replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Western tourists will never go off visiting Thailand. In fact, quite the contrary. There are many reasons… Simple, transparent, user-friendly visa procedures. Supportive, welcoming, 'jai dee' government. Uniform and fair application of common sense rules and regulations. Reasonable prices for all tourist services. Honesty and integrity of tourist-related businesses. Unspoiled natural attractions. Incorruptible security and world-class public safety. Yes…without question…untold multitudes of well-heeled, free-spending, quality farangs will be soon be arriving...to much TAT fanfare.- 249 replies
