not along sukhumvit area... but i think this is quite a decent place to live...
take a bts and stop at talat plu station. walk towards The Mall Thapra exit and then continue to walk toward the Mall along Ratchadapisek Road... about 5 minutes walk you will see Soi 8 with a Max Value on your left. walk into the soi and you will notice 2 apartment on your left and right. They offer studio for rent about 40sqm (i think) .. rental about 5000baht+ per month... low rise, furnished, security, carpark... but the apartment a bit old.. i think more than 10 years.. but i find it ok for the price and walking distant to BTS... one thing i don't like is the noise.. as there are 2 restaurant next to the apartment and they usually have live band operate until late night.. so some people may not like it due to the noise..

My MIL was eyeing on a small terrace behind Tesco 6 years ago in the north. It was asking for 1.2 million, not a huge double story house. Last month we causally inquired the price and it is already 2.6 million. Location, location, location...
yes... location, location, location... but the problem is which location... ... may i know which area in the north was your MIL eyeing earlier ?

Fang Chiang Mai... no point David. It had raised to a crazy price for the pass 2 years. Our village land costed 30k 10 years ago(not chanote) and now can be easily sold 150k for the same size and it is still not chanote. Sometime I wonder what's in their mind... it's a big bubble!

Location can be tricky. One side of the road can be valued multiple times a similar plot directly across the road...
that is so true... actually i am not greedy dreaming to have a big appreciation... all i hope for is just no depreciation and if possible getting some appreciation.. at least it is easy to sell in the future rather than no second hand demand at all..

Whatever is asked,is the direct opposite of what they get, Thailand is in for a bad time in next few years,see where all those bank loaned properties end up,bet that PM box of yours is full of "buy mine"

but i still need a permanent home in thailand... it is more convenient for my family .. haha...

Hi everyone. I have decided to get a home in Thailand to settle down there.
I wish to get a property that can provide some appreciation over long term period and after much consideration and browsing the old post in the forum, Condo may not suits my needs especially some condo have bad second hand market value.
May I ask what about landed properties such as detached house? or even townhouse? Does it provide some appreciation over long term? I am looking for a min 3 rooms property near Mega Bangna or Samut Prakan Theparak. Any good village can recommend to me? Budget not more than 8million... of course lower is better..

additional info: My wife is a Thai and I will use her name to buy the property to avoid the ownership restriction in landed properties by non-thai

there is a food court selling some local thai food. Khao Meng Gai (chicken rice) is selling 150baht..
You also find Pizza Company, Thai Express, Burger King, McDonald and Bon Chon there..

You cannot find the info because there have been no changes because there are none from the AEC to go into effect.
HI... yes.. i don't see any changes so far and in fact the Working Act BE2551 is still effective ...

Hi guys...
I would like to ask about ASEAN EC. ASEAN EC had officially commenced and it is suppose to allow people to travel and work in the ASEAN countries easier ... but I have been trying to search for information and the changes in visa / work permit under AEC.. but unfortunately I don't find any and it seems like the labor office had not made any changes to this and foreigner who wish to apply for work in Thailand are still required to get the work permit in the traditional way... ie. apply for non-immigrant B visa and then apply for work permit.
can any expert can help to verify this?
Is there any official reference to this?

i like black coffee without sugar too.. and every time i order coffee, i will repeat kaffe dam dam bo lan mai ao nam tan.. and the usual respond is they will ask you again and again to confirm it and they will start to comment alot about how are you going to drink it ..bla bla bla...
they really loves sugar ....
