That's weird... The OP article talks about a price of 59b per bottle, though they don't mentioned what size. Maybe the standard 320/330 ML size used locally.
That's under the cheapest imported ciders I've seen here, which seem to start at about 99b per 500 ML bottle or can. Which would seem to suggest it's going to be brewed locally like Heineken.
Except, the OP article talks about using apples from England, and AFAIK, Thailand doesn't seem to have any apple crop of its own.
So I wonder, just what's up with this?
My guess would be that they export the concentrate and water is added locally, and possibly sweetener to cater for local tastes

Not angry at all....and I'm not little. Just making a point in writing. Perhaps you got it, perhaps not.
I wasn't holding out much hope. Too subtle for you I guess.
Let me try again. Perhaps people in your country describe themselves in terms of colour because it was forced upon them to describe themselves in terms of colour.
But perhaps they don't see themselves in terms of colour and it is offensive to them when you do so.
You just make assumptions because it saves you from having to think.
Intelligent people don't mind thinking.
What would you know about how intelligent people think, I am not just talking about black people in my country, black people and the authorities all over the world describe them as such, do you really believe they don't know they are black ? And do you really believe you are subtle ? do you really believe you are not angry ?

How do you know how "they refer to themselves"? Do you know any of the people involved or arrested?
Perhaps they don't see themselves in terms of colour at all. Perhaps if they did, it is only because you describe them in terms of colour.
Chinese call themselves yellow people do they?
Perhaps you would love to be able to describe them thus, but do not because of political correctness.
Why stop there? We can call some Thai people, "little brown people" openly, with no fear of offence. A white, balding sex tourist as "a pink and disgusting lowlife who exploits poor people, exchanging money in return for sexual favours"
After all, these are just simple descriptions that reflect the facts, aren't they?
So, to hell with PC. Let's just say what is on our minds without fear of causing offence.
You are an angry little man aren't you ?
I don't need to know them personally to know that black people refer to themselves as black !
They don't all come from the same country you see .... Whereas Chinese and Thais do thus they are described as such .

This is NOT a healthy conversation. There are criminals all over the planet, has got nothing to do with the skin color...we can't choose how we are born, can we?
No but we can choose how we behave...

There are many other adjectives in both languages that could have been used instead of "black". The BiB is enforcing the law, but while doing so, incurring unnecessary bad feelings about racism. There is a difference between being PC and just avoiding undue insult.
It's not an insult, they refer to themselves as black, it's people like you that perpetuate political correctness, we've had enough stop it

Wouldnt want to be a black guy in thailand, would be like walking around with criminal tattoo on your forehead. A task force especially for blacks even the name black eagle smells of racism.
Well those of us who are absolutely sick of political correctness might find this refreshing,
Think of it as the backlash ....

Because you live in a multi-cultural society and you're a tolerant person. Why not embrace multi-culturalism instead of fearing it? You wouldn't have been much good in the Empire.

I doubt if Mr Grouse fears multiculturalism but rather sees it as a failed social experiment as I do, apologies to Mr G if I'm wrong

Dishonest post.
I obviously posted that BEFORE it was determined that it was another Islamist terror event.
You are calling me dishonest because you were stupid enough to assume it was anything but Islamist terrorism ?

Great idea by the American cops to shoot the <deleted> in the abdomen, keep him alive but in pain. They get to interrogate him and no martyrdom. Take note UK plod ....

I don't think very many people here are going to defend terrorists, extremist Islamist, or any other flavor of terrorists.
If you're suggesting it's OK to demonize all Muslim people because of Islamist terrorism, I don't see how that is fair or rational.
Have there been any clues yet on the motivation of this recent event?
Yes, the clue is deep seated hatred for everything Western

So sad but actual event taking place on that border the bloody Burmese army is killing, raping, looting mercilessly innocent civilians.
Rubbish, there is no rape going on, the initial violence came from the insurgents, the citizens of Myanmar are actually nice people, who could blame them for not wanting Pakis in their country

My take on that is that as long as the farang knows that he is buying her youth and beauty, then it doesn't matter.
What I find sad is that many of these guys become heartbroken when the girl leaves, stating that he really thought it was "love"............and they go to pieces.
Renting, surely ?

The answer is: if you are fat, ugly, unatractive, elderly, badly dressed, spend your time in bars drinking and lack Thai freinds there is a very high possibility the lady is with you for money.

I only ever smacked my son once, when he was about 12 or 13 and had seriously crossed a bunch of lines. I regretted doing so immediately, as I had only done so as I had lost my temper. I had a very long chat with him afterwards and explained and apologised for my actions. Thankfully, he got the message and was far more well behaved thereafter.
My dad used to lay into me for just about any infringement and I hate him to this day for it. My two kids are now good and decent adults and we still have a warm and loving relationship.
In conclusion, I have to say I do not agree that you need to hit your child to instill discipline. A good and meaningful discussion of the incident and the reasons why the actions were wrong, stays in their mind far longer than the pain of a spanking, and is more likely to earn their respect in the long run. They are also far more likely to be truthful about an incident when they are not in fear of a beating. There are other punishments that can be meted out that have better results. Grounding, loss of allowance etc.
Well said mate, explain to them why it's wrong to do certain things, apply sanctions if necessary, remove phones computers etc.

Years ago I was in a hotel inPattaya on the top floor where all the other guexts were apparently Russian.
They would all leave at the same time in the evening and arrive back sometime in the early hours and without exception would all slam the bedroom doors causing disturbance eery night.
So, yes, door slammers are a bloody nuisance with no respect for others.
Why are designers not able to make doors that close quietly?
Russians are definitely the worst offenders, they hate everyone including other Russians

You did not say you were English. Where did I say you were English? Your recursive transgressions only serve to light up your own insular cortex. Have a Singha and chill.
It was my post that you criticised suggesting the English were worried about grammar, thus insinuating that I was English. You are just spouting gobbledegook , perhaps you should have a singha and put the dictionary away

Why its hurting some viewers? If the news is correct he should be exposed and get punishment period. It seems any damn news about African, Asians, Indians, Arabs some of the readers cant control their temptations of writing silly comments,
It is about paedophiles not Africans, Asians, Indians, or Arabs. This is a forum and by definition invites peoples opinions whether you like them or not ...

I was thinking as I read the story 'I want to believe that this happens everywhere, I want to believe that it isn't some deeply ingrained problem in the Thai male physche.' I'm just not sure if I can though. ?
I remember I was sitting eating in a food court once when I saw two kids (a girl and a boy) messing about with a water fountain. The dad came up to the two kids and smacked the girl shouting at her to stop. He did nothing to the boy. Sad.
Same in the Indian culture, females are second class citizens
