from what I gather allot of Thai men have very childish personalities... not surprising if you think about it... if you look around you will see allot of thai women coddling their children up into adulthood.

the ones who learn independence usually have no problem finding and holding onto a suitable mate.

Gotta ask was she really qualified to represent Thailand? she was probably prepped and "told" what thai culture and customs are in preparation to provide a  proper answer is to impress "thai" judges to win the title of miss Thailand.....  however she probably knows very little in terms of whats really happening in Thailand without experiencing first hand what its like to grow up in the country.

Granted the king of thailand was also educated in a foreign country but he spent many years visiting rural Thailand to find out first hand what his people were going through....

when you go to Disneyland and try to bring a drink or food in with you they make you throw it away before entering... but once inside there is plenty of food and drinks you can purchase.  same same silly farang don't seem to question that do they?

first off where did you meet this girl? secondly, you screwed up from the very beginning by agreeing to a salary in the first place.

Its one thing to help her pay her bills or give her money to take care of her children because you care about her... but to just give straight up give her money just because she was nice enough to give you a lay on a regular basis? there is a word for this type of person and i think you know what it is...

more than likely you will be dumped and she will move on to another less demanding Jon.  Also the fact you call it a salary says allot..

another outcome i can see happening is she does as you tell her and winds up getting a job at the girly bar.

It isn't only Chinese that cram into lifts.

I have been in many lifts in Thailand where they cram as many people in as possible. It seems there is "always room for one more" even though the alarm rings. I must admit I get worried sometimes.

i have never come across what you speak off... i always see people patiently waiting for the next lift if its even remotely full.

people get overcharged all the time without knowing it... this would be no different.

taxi says i take you 300 baht... sailor says sure without even giving it a second thought. (metered the fair would probably be less then 100 baht) sailor doesn't know and some might even care... 300 baht is about 10 bucks in NY that would be an absolute bargain.

you should probably break up with her...  If you don't want to dump her talk to her until you are able to work it out, relationships are sometimes complicated.

from what you have said it seems like she is way to defensive regarding talking to other men and refuses to acknowledge she might be in the wrong.  Which leaves me to believe she is on the prowl for another mate and stringing you along until she can find someone better.

Personally I only really want to buy items which are sold directly by Amazon, otherwise you don't know who you're dealing with.

 

Also Amazon pre negotiate all customs and duty charges including the all important agent who handles these so you don't have to do anything once goods arrive.

this there is an option to only show items that ship to thailand..

personally though after the tax and cost of shipping your better off just buying through lazada or a store unless its a specialized item that you cant through normal thailand channels.

also at age 60-70 i imagine most guys who apply are more serious about looking for someone who they can actually enjoy the rest of there years with and are not looking to play games like a male in his prime

sure there are probably some weirdo's who apply but at ate 60-70 you probably aren't as picky and  the decent guy to weirdo ratio is significantly better than under 50

IF a customer is unhappy about having to pay an extra 20 baht they always have the option to walk away... but my bet is 90% of people will suck it up and just cough up the extra 20 baht.

The real question is if that customer will go back again and spend more money.

Umm Yeah places like 7/11 waste tons of plastic bags without a thought... I have seen people purchase items and the clerk would bag each item individually.. also there needs to be something done about the street food vendors they waste so much plastic and use tons of rubber bands!
