  1. If, and it is quite a big if, you were able to isolate the banknote, then DNA from that could be cross-referenced with DNA found in the taxi. To get a match on those two sources could provide a lead I suppose. If the police were able to do that it would be a major achievement. Lots of ifs so one would have to be very sceptical that this is merely bluster to show apparent progress.

It may produce a lead, but it's not provable in court. In some countries, it wouldn't be enough to obtain a search warrant.

  2. Good to see that Cats have a conscience. Can't wait for them to be deposed. Only one winner.... the Lawyers.

I employed Steve Berman on a class suit years ago. It's the whole reason he has an office in Arizona. He's relentless! He has a corner office and his intercom system is his voice! The on staff investigator and junior lawyers come, post haste.

Nestle is going to pay through the nose, and, as a result, they will stop using slave labor. As a result, some people might just get their freedom back.

This is one of the areas where I say, let the lawyers have at it!

  3. Please do not go to Thailand until the Thai people start to treat everyone with respect.

It may be a relatively safe place for a tourist, if you are careful, but you will be looked down upon or talked about behind your back. Without a doubt, you will leave with at least one negative experience.

  4. There is no way in hell these pinheads are going to accurately pinpoint a suspect, based on DNA, on a banknote that has been mixed with other notes, in the pocket of a Bangkok tuk tuk driver. Any attempt to hang this on a patsy, a reasonable person would conclude, will bring about one serious negative and international backlash! Man up Thailand! Admit your failures!

  5. The BBC reporter embarassed himself by trying once again to use grubby journalism for his own political agenda. http://www2.manager....&QNumber=393071It would help if he stuck to things he knows something about instead of that sarcastic charade he made which reflects badly on the whole BBC. If they did anything, those police should have arrested him for tampering with evidence. No police force in the world bothers to gather up every ball bearing or piece of shrapnel.

Sadly EnglishJohn your post and the link to Manager online and the great Michael Yon is exactly what this newspaper article is about. It serves Thailand no good if all that is done is blame each side in an attempt to gain cheap political points. It is both despicable and symptomatic of why Thailand problems are not going to be solved anytime soon. And kudos john for being a part of the problem., and not the solution.

Manager online should go back to posting up their staple "ugly farang pics", and trying to get the locals worked up into a frenzy, and not try to bash a BBC reporter whose views they didn't like, and could not CONTROL, back 2 years ago

What good would posting 'ugly farang pics' offer? Does the action create conflict?, or make people hate you? Isn't it a perpetuation of the 'blame game' that exists in Thai culture? Is it what a Buddhist with geng jai would do?

How about this for a lesson; Don't do anything that is going to motivate people to hate you or take action, especially violent action, against you!

  6. How quick we are to side with the father. Why? Because he's not Thai? Who are we to automatically assume the girl's best interests is with the father. For all we know he could be a total controlling ass. Wives leave husbands often because of abuse or child molestation, or simply because some husbands are as*holes.

Any parent worth their salt is going to understand a child needs two cooperating parents.

That being said, what she did to the father, leaving without any warning or discussion about the child's best interests, is dysfunctional. It's cold, and calculating. On that basis alone, congrats to him for his success!

  7. Some people need to learn that hispanics are NOT a majority or a plurality of voters in the US. Americans are supporting Trump because every other person in the race, Republican and Democrat, is a timid wimp.

Politically speaking that's a very good attitude so keep running with it because there's a brick wall straight out ahead called the election.

Hispanics are the second largest group in the US and they vote accordingly. In 2012 Prez Obama got 72% of the Hispanic vote, which is more than enough for the Democrat to slay the Republican candidate for prez. In this election more Hispanics than ever will vote and it may go to 80% or more for the D candidate for prez.

Very good so keep at it over there on the Trump margins of society and politics.

As is obvious from your post, you are agitated and fearful. Trump is winning. Trump will be president precisely because the majority of Americans despise and hate the mainstream media and their so-called experts who keep trying to scare everybody about the so-called hispanic "colossus," most of whose "members" actually hate each other's guts. Cubans hate Mexicans and vice versa. Nearly every Central American hates people from neighboring Central American countries AND Mexico. The hispanic monolith is nothing more than another dream of you and yours which is about to pop and vanish into thin air.

The next president will be whomever is approved by the Bilderberger group, just like the last president, and the one before that.... Anger, hate and popularity, etc., have FA to do with it.

  8. Post #6

    You betcha!!

I personally will get this message across to the USA Government, Germany's

government and likewise EU and its main offices!!

I'm pretty certain that the point of post #6 was to 'put the word on the street'. We all know most governments are not going to take decisive action, but the lack of funding, brought about by prolonged social movement, should send a clear message. Whether or not the violators of human rights understands the message, is directly related to how little money they have and how much they are able to get away with.
