Purchased a Hafele 5.7 litre. Am now planning on purchasing an air fryer for my North America sojourns. It works marvellously, but of course I oven cook quite a bit and so it gets used several times a week. I have used it for everything from fries to ribs. Find most meats eg chicken crisp on the outside and juicy inside. The main trick seems to be getting the timing right and shaking or turning the meal half way through. As with most things, you (sometimes) get what you pay for.

It seems that the purges have begun. After that rather chilling rant where Putin talked about the necessity of "purity" purges of "True Russian culture" the top people in his military and intelligence services have been arrested for close questioning. It looks like the gulags will become city sized again.

Thailand’s housing prices expected to rise by 5-8 percent in April
ourdon replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
Maybe they expect the Chinese to continue buying. Sure, they can use the profits from their massive Evergreen investments for collateral. ???? Or maybe the Russians??? Would you take a ruble?? At what value? Be interesting to watch what happens if they ever open up their stock market again. I suspect that it will react like an Otis elevator with the cables cut and the safeties off. -
Have tried various "light" beers. While San Miguel is just palatable the rest seem to be just "Sex in a canoe" Were these originally developed for the "People that don't want to get drunk but like to urinate" market ???

Now if someone would sneak over and rip open the hull of Putins 100 million dollar yacht the situation would get a lot more close and personal to him.

I'm shooting blanks - need a male fertility specialist in Bangkok
ourdon replied to Katsura's topic in Health and Medicine
Try a second opinion or even a third when you find legitimate practioners. Search internationally for someone or some clinic you trust (a bit). Contact them and see if they have a doctor they know or have worked with in the same field of research in Asia. If yes contact the doctor. Be prepared to travel. You are looking for the right physician in an area from Joburg to Tokyo -
Tricky. The government eventually will have to make a real decision. Other nations will note your position and your assistance. The Democracies are melding into an international force for basic human rights (hopefully). On one side, an authoritarian, despotic, corrupt government that is somewhat delusional. On the other side a fairly and freely elected democratic government, actually expressing the will of the governed for the first time in over two hundred years. I can understand the confusion if your government has little history of an actual democracy But it's time boys: "FISH OR CUT BAIT!!!"

With what's happening in Eastern Europe some of our beertime conversations turned to aggressive nations. As we got into the name and blame game I couldn't help but to mention that of the 193 countries that are members of the United Nations ........ Great Britain has invaded 171. Makes everyone else look like "Bad Ass Wannabe's" ????

Tourism Ministry Launches ‘Thailand Trusted Destination’ Campaign
ourdon replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
So what happens if you like the destination but don't trust the ministry extolling its' virtues. -
The disease may be milder but I'm more interested in its' seeming ability to move to other organs in the body.. The only covid that could do that was/is responsible for the "long hauler syndrome. So the disease is not as initially brutal and deadly as Delta. This is good. It may take 6 months to a year to recover fully. Not so good. I'm going to be cautious as hell until a couple of my questions are answered. This includes not suggesting someone else run out there and get infected

Unfortunately matteo you are 100% wrong. An IDL is a certificate handed out by your local Auto club, registry or whomever is authorised for a small fee. No testing is done. The certificate puts specific information into the same place no matter where your licence is from. The constabulary in the hundred and some odd countries that use the IDL format know they only have to check a specific section of the IDL to find out if you are authorised to drive a motorcycle for example. The auto club just copies the information from your driver licence into the IDL and charges you a fee for doing so. If stopped you still need your original drivers permit. You are supposed to provide that permit along with the IDL ..... Few do.

Anutin declares he's ready to be the next Prime Minister of Thailand
ourdon replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
If that title isn't enough to make you want to depart to some friendlier shores ... like North Korea I don't think Thailand is ready for him. -
So did I. Should be arriving Thursday
