  1. ok thaicbr, but are u angry?

I saw that one, but it was not in Bangkok, so I asked again.

everybody, I have found two cbr, year 2005: 35000 baht, and year 2006: 42000 baht.

what do u think, is it expensive?

Buy the cheapest, and spend the difference on a English course ...

  2. You must check out 'Huay Toong Tow' ('The Lake'), a little bit out of Chiangmai but big and beautiful. It only costs 20 baht to get in (same for Thais) and they serve food and drink in little huts. Closes around 6pm.

dude, there are snakes in that water.

land&house @ majoe is nice, pool at centrada, chiang mai orchid e.g. are good options.

  3. Not sure of the what is happening currently, but the freeholder of the property offered to lease it to me a couple of years ago. She expressed some considerable dissatisfaction with the state of affairs at that time.

    huh?

Rarinjda (the spa across the street) has bought the property and will open a "fine dining" restaurant in the section of Riverside which now has been closed down (well, it was in april).

The "thai" side of Riverside is still open, as well as the boat paddy, and a new second floor has also been built. And across the street where the parking used to be they've created a new section which is pretty nice - take a look.

  4. Thank you!

Can anyone confirm (or not) that the border Poipet - Arnya pratet does have these facilities? A flight Pnom Phen to BKK is not that expensive, and if that can avoid me buying a new visa...

    Thank you

No difference in flying or go through poipet. Departure tax in PP is $25 so you lose money even before you have bordered the plane ...

  5. I have a friend from Payap University who makes websites. He is in the Computer Information Systems program. He graduates this year. His website is http://ralphvandenberg.com/webprojects.php. His rates are quite competitive. Contact him for more info. His information is on his website.

well I hope he doesn't graduate as his websites sincerely suck. it's something I could have made 15 years ago, which says enough.

  6. I'm just happy to hear there is an available bomb squad, and they do look fairly well equipped. BUT (looking at the photos) are they disposing/diffusing the device at Thapae Gate?

strange huh, bringing it from kad luang (chiangmai plastic) up there, silly thai logic I guess. better throwing it in the ping if u ask me.

  7. - 10-12 k for what ? 10 pages, or 100 ?? html, css, flash, php ?? SEO included ??

for webDESIGN, we are not discussing content, programming or seo services. people seem to think webdesign is EVERYTHING, it's just a graphical designer doing a website, nothing more, nothing less.

Agreed Kash, but, being a graphic designer, i've found out that that is what customers ask for, somebody that can design and built the website, I would love to do ONLY the design unfortunately most people want you to do also the technical stuff.... and if possible the hosting, content and while you're at it design a company logo and do some product photography for 10.000 baht :o

thats why we have more than 1 staff : )

  9. I am a dual national (US/Japan) and when traveling would use both, depending on the situation. On my last trip to thailand I used my japanese passport, which has a slightly different name than the US one due to translation issues and having no middle name in japan. Entry on the japanese passport went fine. Upon leaving the country though, they started asking questions and wanted to know if the other records in their computer system from the US passport were from me. I said yes, and then the officer went back to her computer and started typing some stuff. I was then free to leave. Well, immigration has definately improved their computer systems, and dual nationals might not have the advantages that they used too anymore.

well for some reason I don't believe this is the case, they have no chance in h.... to find out this information unless you gave them some vitals. How many Joe Johnson do you think exist if you look at all nationalities, it is simply a task not possible for thai immigration to grasp. in regards of other posts saying there is a lot of accurate information there, well yes - where do you think the enter/entry slips goes? someone is manually feeding them, but no way that they've got 25 years old data in their system, unless the person is on a specific watch list for some reason.

  10. Hey, no offense taken...

But I would just wanna use the steam room, which you said was broken and not working..( I have found that in all the cases of a gym setting, the're always broken..)

So the frills of a pool, weight machines, aroma therapy, tea, and a smile is not what I'm looking for..

    :o

Duangtawon Centara Hotel - dry sauna, steam sauna + jacuzzi + gym + outdoor pool.
