So all those karaoke bars will have to close then, I can see a big increase in domestic violence on the way.

Live in Thailand but unfortunately have to go to the uk for 2 weeks in April. I am looking for some insurance which would cover the dreaded corona virus, just for that period.Any ideas?

Far too many movies about comic book heroes these days.Batman done to death, and all those x-men movies.
Best movie ive seen this century was 'There will be blood' , about the early oil industry. Amazing performance from Daniel Day Lewis.

More risk being attacked by soi dogs than people, especially badly lit sois at night.Far more safe than cities in the UK.

They like winners in America. If Trump is acquitted watch his poll numbers rise.
Would be difficult to see from the Democrats contenders who could beat him.

Must be quite a big revenue source from these one year visas.5,000 baht in Savannakhet and 200 USD in Ho Chi Minh City, plus 1,900 baht for any 60 day extensions, as opposed to 1,900 baht for one year extension.

Thanks for your replies.Should be sorted now. I have used the credit card linked to Paypal since these changes came in , and that went through without needing an SMS sending to me.

I can buy a UK sim as I am in the UK shortly. My concern is that when the credit card company send an sms to me, and i am in Thailand, it wont get here.

I have a UK credit card and they have recently introduced a new system where you need a UK mobile no., for them to text you an OTP when buying online.
Is there any easy way to get round this as I am living in Thailand.
Many thanks

If you are going to Laos and coming back to Thailand the same day what do you put on the hotels/guesthouses part of the form.

If you get a one year extension based on retirement in Thailand you would have to get a reentry permit, to keep it alive if you leave the country. It is 3,800 baht for multiple trips, or 1,000 baht for a single trip.It is available from immigration offices.

I presume they want a letter from the employer, saying it is ok to have 6 months off, but who knows.

Went there today to get a 1 year multiple based on marriage.
Arrived 8am was the first person there. Opened at 8:45 and was out again about 9am. The reason for the post is when i came out there must have been about 50 people outside waiting so i would advise people to get there early.

You dont need an account in a local branch. My account is in the Bangkok bank in Bangkok, but i get all the information i need for a marriage extension , from the local branch in Nakhon Phanom.

Look at information in getting an OA visa from a thai consulate in the USA. You can get 2 years out of it, and dont need to put money in a thai bank.

If youre British you get 15 days visa exempt to Vietnam, so no need for an e- visa, unless you want a longer stay.

Anyhoo....just found out that the Vietnamese eVisa takes 3 full working days to process, so it's a bit tight as my current visa expires on the 6th of September.
Going to research a trip to Laos - I know there's a good thread on here about it....
Do you know anyone?
