  1. Have had same issues with my wife whilst on a tourist visa as you are now experiencing

In the end went to Turkey and Northern Cyprus which do not require Thai visitors to have visas.

Would not have been my first choice for a holiday, but in both instances had a really good time and reasonable price. One holiday on a Gulet (boat) down the Turkish coast was excellent.

    Hope this helps.

  2. How many entries did you request and pay for? Tourist visas are not issued as a multiple entry.

You certainly need to contact them. Normal is 4 to 5 days total from reports I have seen and no reports of anybody having a problem getting one.

As is sods law whats just come in Post !! In the past I as you say. had it back with 3-4 working days, this one somewhat longer. Double entry I applied for apologies for any confusion over multiple. To me more than a single is multiple.

To the other Guy yes I consider any "business" that doesn't take credit, debit cards or cheques as living in the dark ages. Since when did you last buy anything online and be asked to send a Postal Order.

Applied for a multi entry visa recently and got it back in 3-4 days. With post office tracking it is possible to keep tabs on it.

The postal order issue is a bind but I suppose they have been caught in the past by rubber cheques. However it cost me an extra £ 7.50 for the pleasure of buying a PO.

    Just saying like!

  3. The big problem for Thai Airways is that it has to compete in an international market against world class operators.

So many Thai businesses are monopolies with no concern about quality or standard of service, consequently they have no concept of competition and their culture will not allow them to admit it.

Aviation is a unique environment and successful airlines have CEO's that have spent a lifetime in the business, not someones nephew who has bought the position. Afraid that until the position is filled on merit by someone with a history of rescuing ailing airlines then the future is bleak!

  4. <script type='text/javascript'>window.mod_pagespeed_start = Number(new Date());</script>

Just do your own research it's all out there on the internet.

So can I assume then that you've methodically gone through each and every accusation in that video, corroborated claims of dates / meetings / links with official documents and personally examined all the source material to ensure that all this can be confirmed? Are the video makers source materials known to have come from their own personal research, or borrowed and collated from biased websites? Forgive me for being cynical, but in the world of the internet, "my research" far too often ends up referring to having watching some biased YouTube videos or hanging out on biased websites.

Agreed there is an awful lot of BS on the net but It's up to an individual to make up their own mind. Myself I tend to believe and put more credibility on professional individuals who have no axe to grind as opposed to individuals/politicians who have an agenda. People should not ignore Youtube /forums etc just keep an open mind. IMHO

  5. Should I get an official Toyota approved hamster or a hooky back street job? whistling.gif

Your ride needs a new belt at 150,000km. There is a warning light in your dash to remind you. When the time comes I would advise having it done at a Toyota main agent so you are sure of a GENUINE Toyota belt and not a cheap pattern jobbie.

That belt is the most important thing in that/your engine other than oil and filter changes...smile.png

The hamster is also equally important, he needs to be replaced every other cam belt change or decade which ever comes first.

  6. Someone please explain the significance of a person pointing at the problem posing for a photograph. Who started the 'finger point?'

It is possible that police find it useful photo clarification for any subsequent evidence needed but my personal opinion is that I don't think it would occur if reporter's did not specifically ask for that pose. It is hardly a natural thing to do without being asked,

I wonder if they' would stop asking for the pose if the victims started to point with their middle-finger...tongue.png

Goes back a long way, afraid Thai's can't claim it as theirs!
