Thanks for all the input ~~~~ I am familiar with Thai buses, but boss lady wants to get from Roi-et to Nan and wants to be sure of connection times.
A real pain in the butt if you arrive 10 mins after connection has departed!

Why not leave it in your thai bank account and then take it out of an ATM with your bank card in the UK.
I have done this with a kasikorn bank account and card several times.
Mind you no idea what exchange rate they apply.

Think I have seen an ad from one of the Thai banks offering 80 baht withdrawals, however I have not been able to find ad and can't remember which bank!!!
Maybe someone on the forum know's?

Well the lawsuits that will come will be much more massive and a hit to national pride and tourism,
The Malaysian Authorities are playing this down BIG TIMETime to check all pictures on the passports of the passengers and compare with the CCTV and see who not fit in.
Then publish the pictures in media and find out the name of the 2 ghosts.
After that I think we can have an idea if they are false immigrants or terrorists
of there is obvious negligence involved. So play it down as much a possible; face and cash must be saved.
It will be insurers who pick up the tab for the majority of the costs possibly even loss of profit/ earnings.
Of far more interest to them will be recovering the airframe and establishing the cause of the loss.
All risks underwriters have to prove that it was a war and allied perils loss to establish which insurers pay.
As they are not necessarily the same insurers.

The first 737-900ER was rolled out of the Renton, Washington factory on August 8, 2006 for its launch customer, Lion Air. Lion Air received this aircraft on April 27, 2007 in a special dual paint scheme combining the Lion Air's logo on the vertical stabilizer and the Boeing's livery colors on the fuselage. Lion Air has orders for 166 737-900ERs as of August 2011.[1]

Just two months ago had IPS fitted servicing 4 tvs. Had a problem getting an installer as our house is quite large, lots of work in roof space and connecting to my existing aerial points up there. Good news is they managed to located the right cables to connect to. Cost 9000 baht.
My roof space has cables everywhere now, looks a mess but at least it works. My advice is to show them EXACTLY where YOU want the dish and cables to run, and where they can connect to your existing points. You may find they don't like taking the time to do a good job and clear off, happened to me twice and I was very polite too.
Good luck.
Hi VMM
Thanks for info and prompt response. Just to confirm the IPS dish is black with a mesh screen i.e not solid metal disc.
From your info it sounds as though you have achieved what I want , access via existing ariel points!
Thanks again

Hi
I am about to purchase an IPS Dish & Box which will feed a couple of TV's.
Rather than having wiring running all over the house would if be possible to route the cable through the existing ariel points which are already installed?
i.e. Dish cable goes into existing ariel socket via a spitter which feeds one TV and other TV acesses content via another existing ariel socket.
Thanks

i have sent them couple emails, never heard back
but we kept checking the web site and The situation must have changed as yesterday I was able to get only as far as info about the flight, now it allowed us to purchase it. Yesterday the Nok web site showed that they will operate in Suvarnabhumi till Nov 30. Today the same notice said they will operate till Jan 31.
Visited Buriram airport last Friday to book a Nok Air ticket from Suvarnabhumi to Buriram for this coming Friday.
Sorry all flights to Buriram cancelled until further notice. The Friday flight was due in a couple of hours and they had a pax list of a lot of people who were due to be dissapointed in the next hour or so.
Tough if you have a connecting flight to catch.
I suppose the moral is don't cough up any cash until you are at Suv and know they have an aircraft and also have back up plan.
