I have not needed to use it for some time so have only just noticed I can't find it. What am I rattling on about?

Well there used to be an area where you could keep notes on your own profile page.

I used this to mark articles which were interesting and could be of use in the future.

Well now I need it and its gone! Has it gone or is it me that just can't find it?

Any help appreciated

Whatever the situation with Happy Air I would avoid using them.

They advertised a new route Buriram to BKK and showed a scheduled service. I duly booked and paid via the internet only to be told a week or so later that they had canceled the route before even the first flight.

It then took about 3 months for the money to be reimbursed and then only after many many phone calls from the UK, emails and ultimately threats.

It was not an awful lot of money but they can take it in a nano second, why is it so difficult to refund it?

Don't answer that, I think I know why!

That sounds about right I had 5 shots (not Painful at all) cost 2,100 baht 18 months ago, dog owner is legally obliged to pay, that if you can find owner!

From what I can recall 2nd injection after 3 days 3rd after further 5 days 4th 7 days etc

It is a no brainer must have injections alternative is death if dog was rabid.

PS Just noticed I was replying to 2008 post so not really relevant to latest post.

I Normally go bank get us$30 before i head to the border as i am australian works cheaper that way,i have also gone to khon kaen to get visa before,but this did not save me that much time a the border to justify a seperate trip to khon kaen.

Now if you are a swiss citizen you get in for free! Don't ask me why as I don't know!

Is Pakse the place to be for New Year celebrations? Every hotel I've found has no availability for Dec 29/30/31 & Jan 1! I assumed Pakse was a sleepy little Laos town that would be happy to have my custom!

Pakse is not a sleepy town! Has lots of international restaurants and french colonial influence. Lots of nice bars by the river to watch the sun go down plus nice atmosphere, also very popular with back packers so lots of guest houses.

Before you start scraping buffalo sh1t off the road buy some lime and throw it in the pond, worked for me and did not harm the fish.

Very cheap and translation of thai name is ~ white powder! very technical huh. Just make sure you are standing upwind when you lob it in otherwise you will look like a ladyboy who has overdone the white makeup!

I've voted for Alonso and i really hope i'm wrong. My reasoning is that Ferrari will get a little slap on the wrists, nothing more and will continue to flout the rules.

If by chance the FIA shows some balls and clobbers both team and driver, i have a feeling it could be Webber, Vettel, or Hamiton.

Well I plumped for Vettel, I did go on record before season started as napping him. Although my heart tells me that I would prefer Webber or anyone else who has not won a world championship to date. Would like to see some new faces on the rostrum!.

All too often I read about failed relationships between farangs and their Thai partners. Well right now in my little village I am watching a marriage between two Thais fall apart. It isn't pleasant for anyone here as all seem involved one way or another. Everyone is talking about fact and fiction, mostly the latter with all sorts of inflated gossip adding fuel to the fire. Typically Thai the conversations are based on relaying third party information. Why can't these people talk to each other face to face?

Basically the woman has been having an affair with a man from a neighbouring village. The husband found out and started beating her and drinking heavily. The third party is a member of the BIB (stationed elsewhere in Thailand) and as the situation has flared publicly started arriving at the womans house very visibly carrying his service pistol.

Apparently the woman has accepted a large payment from the BIB and has spent a considerable amount of it. The husband is a typical son in law here and basically owns nothing, nor does his family. They have two teenage and one younger child. The wife wishes to keep both relationships going. The husband is not happy but has nowhere else to go. The BIB wants either the woman or the money back.

Result, explosive situation.

Who said life in a rural Thai village was dull?

i didn't realise i may not be covered if i am staying so long. i pay a higher per day rate because it is a longer period, and they say it is up to 180 days, with an option of extending. i assumed that meant i was fine to be there long term, but i will inquire more. it is also half the regular price because it excludes the USA entirely.

ps. i am 25 years old.

If the policy states that you are covered for up to 180 days, then any claim made during that period should be paid subject of course to the other terms & conditions of the policy.

I think it's a bit late for that mate, it has gone down hill since the start of this season unfortunately.

Previously I thought we had some kind of mutual respect for each others views even when we beg to differ but apparently not, I had not posted for sometime until a couple of weeks ago because of some raised voices but will think twice before and if I post again.
