"I refuse to loose face and time, but I can loose my life no problem"

I can't find the article, but I'll keep trying. Basically from an industry magazine outlining how corrupt the customs department is. If you've ever had to deal with them, you'd understand. No fun.
I can confirm that.
Endlessly corrupt.
Cant say what is the problem in this case tough.

They have the physical visa at the embassies.
It's a piece of paper.
Worthless until it gets granted and registered with Bangkok.
Then its transformed logically from a piece of paper to a properly issued visa. -

Well, Chavez is dead, so probably not the best choice for touting their medical care.
many latinos claims chavez was actually killed because he was becoming to dominant over Fidel.
Nicholas Maduro was a better runner-up more easy to manipulate.
however nobody anticipated the drop in oil-price so it didn't work out anyway.
cuba always lived on someones else money
russia, colombian drug dealers, FARC guerrilla etc etc
also Fidel liked to sell his people to wars and medicare to random countries to the highest bidder.
all the gains into his own pocket of course.

my experience is that is not true.....
Maybe you don't personally know any Cuban doctors nor have been to hospitals in Cuba.
My wife almost died in a Cuban hospital giving birth.
My mother in law suffered very much from a badly performed cataract eye surgery.
And the countless of people I know who just plainly died of malpractice and substandard.
Forget about finding a way to complain about that.

Agree ,...Been to Cuba 20 years ago, traveled around the country freely, was astonished to see that Cubans had free and excellent healthcare and education as well !!! and one of the highest literacy rates I ever witnessed 99.7% /99.8%...the US doesn't even make it in the 25 first country's. FYI...it's 45 th...
Best Regards
But you failed to see that the Cubans themselves where prohibited to check into hotels.
Touristing in Cuba ( possibly with out speaking Spanish) will give you any random impression you like.
Live there , different story.

Most probably statistically ......
Yup.
Medicine saved for the political elite.
Best doctors and equipment alike.
Not even light bulbs in the hospital during the worst times because people stole them.
Separate hospitals for tourists.

VIVA VIAGRA![emoji2]
Cuban developed their own viagra.
It is called PPG.
Sold in the streets as anything else.
AFAIK it's without effect.

Similar death in a phuket swimming pool some years ago.

keppi?
Don't know.
Sounds Finnish if anything.
The name of the guy is also anything but Swedish.
But anyone is granted a Swedish passport at the border nowadays.

Thanks HauptmannUK.
Daam, I just started another thread about cement blocks in the other forums as I hadn't got a good response in the Isaan forum.
Seems I can get them in Bangkok. Long way from back of Kuchinari, Udon closer.
Not meaning to question you, but are the ones you got the 8" cement blocks, or the cinder blocks? I want to build a swimming pool, so need the big strong blocks I think.
Here is another pic.
If they are the same, you gota name and address if the supplier?

AFAIK they use the metric system in Thailand.

This could be good, but unlike the movie they could also spin this on forever.
What up with the Danish accent and giving one of the lead roles to the Danish prime minister from the series Borgen?
America don't have enough actors?
Maybe they wanted to avoid the "plastic" feeling.

No matter how much I try to get the Thai wife to understand, she is 'hard wired' to believe what other Thais say. Even when one is later shown to be wrong, she still believes the next one. Whereas I believe nothing anyone in business says, and only half of what they put in writing. I have a 'suitable' level of healthy skepticism when dealing with all others - the Thai wife has nil when dealing with Thais. She 'conforms' to the Thai mentality and that is the core of the issue in this matter - Thais believe other Thais, and believe to not do so is offensive to them.
Unscrupulous Thais take advantage of them. Been going on for a long time, and will continue for quite some time yet.
Story of my life.
Just the bare fact they speak Thai is enough proof they are correct.
Learning Thai is essential.
Language of eternal wisdom.

I just wish I could pay my (Provincial) Electricity Authority and Water Authority bills online or by internet banking. You can pay electricity for Met Authority in Bangkok by internet banking but not outside Bangkok, mad!
PEA draws the cash/bill directly from my account monthly.
No action needed from my side.

We're working really, really hard on wresting the number one spot from Libya (https://www.statista.com/chart/4394/the-worst-countries-for-road-traffic-fatalities/ !!!
I think they are ahead actually.
If comparing apples to apples.
Remember people not dying at scene is discounted for.

Correct.
Truck managed to move the front because steering-wheels are in the front.
Moving the trailing wheel pairs (including the trailer) to the left will take considerable much more distance due to the angle of the wheels versus the main direction.
Not sure he jack-knifed it.
