  1. Tom, yes, possibly your diet is poor. Do not use any veggie oils, stick to organic, cold pressed olive and coconut oils. Try to cut down somewhat on meats and add many kinds of veggies to fill you. I like to put some olive oil (as per above) and slightly heat onions, snow peas, paprika, broccoli for a few mins. Add Himalayan salt, pepper and herbs to your taste. to reach homeostasis is having all your cells happy with energy. Cells’ job amongst other things is to repair where repair is needed. If there is no energy, they can’t do their job. the cells produce energy (ATP), but that energy comes from clean food sources, vitamins, minerals and nutraceuticals. It has taken me many years of daily research to get some understanding of this. I’m a 75yr old Scandinavian woman living in Thailand.
  2. Tom, your LDL is high for a reason. Cholesterol is like a dishwasher detergent and produced by the liver, it gobbles up lipids (fat) and is carried out in the blood like the detergent gobbles up fat from your dishes. These lipids are released in areas where necessary for cell repair which are areas that have inflammation/infection. By taking statins you are forcefully lowering your LDL, and not sorting out why/where the the inflammation is. The inflammation is still there, but is being masked by lower LDL levels. Find out where the problem is, sort it out and you’ll get normal LDL levels Too many drugs these days only mask the symptoms (eg beta blockers, ace inhibitors, proton pump inhibitors to name a few), the only happy ones are the Big Pharma industries. Unfortunately the FDA and CDC get 💰 from said pharma. Get your body into homeostasis (= good balance) and the rest will come. All cells in your body communicate with each other by giving and taking electrons from each other, when you use drugs you interrupt this communication thus causing tons of side effects. You are indeed messing up the communication pathways. Give your body the energy to heal itself as much as possible.
  3. Once I was given Ambien when I took a heart drug that gave me insomnia. Well, well, after 2 months of using only 2,5-5mg of Ambien, when I tried to quit I got rebound insomnia which is worse than the original insomnia I got the pills from the doc in the first place. Doc was happy to continue prescribing, but I wanted to quit. Took me 3 months to wean off, most awful time I have ever had as regards sleeping. I now still have problems falling asleep, not every day but around 3 times per week. I am 75 yrs old and have NEVER had sleeping issues in my life before this damned heart medication that I was able to quit after 6 weeks, but that was enough to get me hooked on Ambien. i purchased a homeopathic sleeping pill which you melt under your tongue. For me it works very well and it’s not habit forming. It’s called “SleepCalm” by a French company called Boiron. You can also try Valerian root, GABA pills. Melatonin 2mg did nothing for me. Extra Magnesium did not help either even though Magnesium Glycinate or Magnesium Acetyl Taurinate is touted to do so. Guess we are all different so have to find our own way. BUT I will NEVER again use a prescription sleeping aid again, it’s pure poison especially when you try to quit. Any prescription “Z” sleep drug is habit forming - stay away. (Ambien=Zolpidem).
  4. 1000mg of magnesium glycinate is far too much. 400mg is enough per day, you should not really exceed this. Too much magnesium has the opposite reaction, it keeps you awake rather than make you feel sleepy.
  5. As n00dle said, herbicides or air pollution, what a choice! 6 of 1 half dozen of the other. Before getting industries involved in CO2 reduction (crazy idea), why not clean up all the plastics, GMO’s, waste from industries being allowed to enter waterways, geo-engineering etc and more. Maybe tax incentives for agro industries to deploy other methods than burning using sustainable methods rather than exchanging one poison for another.
