  1. Never trust a consultant! :D

If they know so much the'd be a business leader, wouldn't they? - To busy to help out here.

    Never trust a consultant! :D

Would a good one be earing small money here (5,000 baht per day?) instead of decent money back home (500 pounds + per day)? - I think not.

    Never trust a consultant! :D

A good retired consultant living here? - Doubtful, as they are retired and want to relax.

Never trust a (so called) "business" consultant. NEVER!

I've met a few here, ohhh, they make my blood boil.

Got the Point, No Consultants worth their salt are here in LOS,

    Than What?

I wish I could delve in to more details but this is as far as I can Go, :o

  2. Hi

My girlfriend and family are a little annoyed over a neighbour’s extension. They have ran a business from home for a while which everyone on the estate hasn't minded because it has been done within the home with no exterior changes. They make T-Shirts I believe.

However over the last few weeks an extension has been built onto the house which as transformed what was a lovely home into a factory. It's 2 stories high and has blocked the light on the main part of our garden, worse than this they have built a toilet on the dividing wall of the garden which presumable is for the employees, which is about 8ft away from our kitchen. The surrounding wall to the premises was a nice 5ft white wall; this now has 6ft high 3 x 2 steel sections on top which I can only presume is to raise the wall for protection. Basically it looks a complete mess and in my opinion if they have the money to do this then they should have built or bought premises else where specifically for their business.

None of the neighbours have been contacted about this, the neighbour in question hasn't had the decency to inform us or anyone else for that matter.

My girlfriend believes she can complain about this but is not sure which department she would contact. Can anyone point us in the right direction?

I have pointed out that she ought to get a few neighbours on her side before complaining though.

    Where are in Bangbon/Bangkok

    Any advice appreciated.

Tipping the labour department of Illegal/unregistrated workers, Town planning for UN authorised extensions,

Informing the sanitary department of foul smell, etc, etc, there is no end to how many complaints you can make,

However, there are couple of fine point to contemplate before you go ahead and make a complaint to any relevant Authorities,

    A. they might be already in their pocket sort of speak, B. your neighbour can get nasty and vindictive on you,

  3. The business in question concerning Sport leisure members program, where by there is a huge turn over

of funds but when sales drys up or slow down the expenses meter still ticking, big numbers too,

It's one year old venture with a lot of potential, all it need is ( I think ) solutions and course of action provider,

not fancying my self as one, and recognizing my limitations, what would be the best path to take or to whom

to turn to for guidance? :o

  5. Thai Hill Mynhas ( I think ), the super noisy bird,

some how people like to keep this screaming machine at their door step,

We have a big problem with one or two birds here in Sukhumvit

that never stops fro screaming all day and all night right under our ears,

these are loose birds I think, nesting somewhere on someone property and for years

now we don't have a moment of quiet,

It' got to the point that it almost give up a nervous brake down to here the

shrieking and screaming of these birds,

Is there Any thing that can be done to stop the problem by way of complaining or

    reporting it to some Authority?

  6. Has anyone got a recommendation where i could get a good heart check up with stress test etc in Bangkok or Pattaya? Approx cost?

    worth every penny,

  7. Hi,

I live in Pattaya & was wondering if anyone Knows where I might find Medical grade distilled water to make colloidal silver (good for many ailments).

I found Carrefourre has it in the battery dept. but some of the water looks a little scruffy to be using for ingesting. the 4 hospitals & all the pharmacies don't have a clue when asked in English or Thai.

I think Chaing Mai might have it & will Be going their soon.

I just do not want to try to ship 3 or 4 gallons of water from the U.S. for 6000 baht in shipping & not to mention the liquid on a plane scrutiny these days!

Any one have a clue? Thanks

I found that My Water generator machine that actually make water from the humidity in the room's air to come as close if not better

than distilled water, it look like normal water fountain but it's only uses little electricity and it produces up to 20 liter of sweet water a day,

    for more details PM me,

  8. Hello,

Is there a service to send SMS from Thailand to Thailand....my concern is not price so much but rather the convenience of entering text messages by computer..

There seems to be several SMS services but they are international....Thanks Rolfe

  9. It's about 6 or 7 months since I've moved in this apartment and I need the air conditioners serviced. Does anyone know any company who is handling these things?

A good place I have repaired my car ( Benz ) on several occasions and was happy with

the results is situated on Soi Sukhumvit 59, as you drive into the Soi it's 50 m on you left,

tell the lady Owner that Mr. Paul has sent you, she'll do right by you,

Could someone recommend a garage in Bangkok where I can get some damage to my wife's new Tiida repaired? It is some scratches to the front offside bumper and wing due to a scrape with a car park wall. Nissan have quoted 7000 but I would like a quote from a specialist paintshop. Close to Ladprao Rd or Sukhumvit 71 would be useful. Thanks.

Ezzra, how long it takes to do some small scratch repairs in that shop? Mazda told me 2 weeks, some small shop near by told me one week. In Europe it can be done in few hours...

Sorry for the late reply, but I would think no longer that 2-3 days as this garrage is very busy and need the space,

    Good luck,,

  12. bought 3 months supply of Acomplia ( Rimonabant ) from a reputable Online Pharmacy, www.globaldrugsdirect.com/

paid US $ 475.00 ( yep, not cheap ) had the tablets shipped to my sister home in Oz and than reshipped here to BKK

in a plain Envelope to circumvent the grubby hand of the local Custom boys that Tax every thing beyond any reasonable

proportion even if it's for personal use,

Started to take them few days a go and so far they work as advertised, they stop you from over eating which is my

biggest problem, it make you feel full after consuming reasonable portion of serving,

No side effect to report or any other abnormal occurrence,

they look like water-drop shape, white colored 20 mg and come in blister pack of 29 tabs,

  14. The staff manning the air-con department in the stores should be able to tell you on the spot what you need.

    :o:D:D

you should consider the position of the room and the room widows as to the directions,

i.e. facing the heat from the sun, that make a lot of different to the a/c cooling capacity,

    That's the beauty of Japan.

Each house/apartment has floor plans and how many tatamis each room covers. In print and schemes.

Aircons have the stickers on them what they are capable to heat/cool.

Just faxed to the shop what I have and adequate hardware came in, their staff mounted it and all perfect. No tips, just their job.

Do any of you know a comprehensive means to calculate requirements here in Thailand - based on the above it is difficult to calculate requirements.

Surely there is a ball park means to finding the requirements

    BKC

The staff manning the aircon department in the stores should be able to tell you on the spot what you need.

Then, anyone can google it and find something like this:

As a guide to the cooling capacity required in British Thermal Units (BTU's), calculate the volume of your room ie length x width x height (in feet). As a general rule of thumb, each cubic foot of space requires 5 BTU's of cooling capacity, so you need to multiply the volume by 5.

In addition, you need to add in the heat gain from other sources. These include people (400 BTU's each if there are more than two in the room) as well as computers and photocopiers (400 BTU's each).

    For example, a room 10ft x 20ft x 8ft = 1600 x 5 = 8000 BTU's. With three people in the room, add 1 x 400 = 8400 BTU's. Add three PC's, 3 x 400 = 9600 BTU's total.

  15. Dr. Naam Mate,

If you Google "A/C sealers", you will see about a dozen highly recommended products being offered

    most notably of the cliplight.com,

I have spoken to their Distributors for SE Asia in HK and was told that Although the product is of excellent quality, the locals prefer to replace the part than to use sealers of any kind,

In Australia, to replace the Evaporator in my car will cost $ 3,000, here I'm being asked B.17,000.

but as I said, I couldn't live with the thought of my car being taken to pieces like that,

My A/C in my Benz is on the blink, got a bad leak in it, my mechanic solution are to replace the

Evaporator which sits behind the dashboard, to get to it, almost all, the consul, dashboard,

stirring wheel and maybe one seat will have to be dismantled,

just thinking about it making me sick, never mind the expense, it's just that I know that

my car will never be the same,

when I inquired as to availability of A/C sealers that are available in other countries I was met with

the usual " mai me, mai rue ",

I know I can get it from overseas but I need some competent A/C technician to do the the

    procedure, any recommendations guys ?

  17. three guys finishing their meal and ask for the bill, the waiter tells them that the bill come to a total of $ 30 each of the guys take out $ 10 and give to the waiter, the teller tells the waiter: you over charged them mate, the bill should really be $ 25 and not $ 30, here $ 5 to give them back,

on the way back to the table the waiter decided not to tell about the mistake and only give them back one dollar each and pocket the remaining $ 2,

Now, each guy gave $ 10 and got back one dollar, meaning meal cost $ 9 each multiply 3 is $ 27

plus the two dollars the waiter pocketed come to total of $ 29, right ?

Where is the remaining One Dollar gone?? :o
